Phở Hải An
For me when I eat at a restaurant the service and the people who run it is key for me. If the food is really good but the service sucks, the staff is rude, then food seems to taste not as good. But if the people are kind and friendly, the staff is accommodating, the owner are caring, it can make the food taste extraordinary. The owners of this restaurant is a very kind couple. Honest folks who want to share good Vietnamese tastes with the community. They take pride in their cooking and treat their restaurant like their second home. Five Stars all around. Thank you!✨️✨️✨️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Leaving the supermarket across the street we were hungry and have always wanted to try this place out. Walking up the parking lot was empty, when we walked in we were the only patrons inside! We were greeted right away and sat right away. Few moments later our drink and food orders were taken. Drinks were brought out right away Ice tea and a lemonade which were both good. We received our food shortly after the pho looked great, the fixings were looking a little old and wilted but we kept them. After my wife fixed up her bowl she said it was still just missing something. I ordered the sauteed chicken and vegetables with Pan fried noodles! With a little soy and siracha they were great! Noodles perfectly cooked, tender chicken and al dente veggies! The place is huge, and like I said we were the only patrons... It was clean and quiet and showing signs of age but a nice place to eat. We visit the supermarket monthly so we'll definitely be back.
Noy's Bistro
If you love authentic Thai food at great prices this is your spot. We had the Red Curry with beef and the Pad Woon Sen with chicken and tofu. It was tons of food but we just couldn’t stop! Then dessert with sticky rice and mango was perfection! We’ll definitely be back. Great place to spend an evening with friends just relaxing and enjoying delicious food.
What a wonderful place to dine! The food had intense flavor, staff were welcoming, hospitable, and patient. I got to learn a little bit about the history of the restaurant and the staff who work behind the scenes from the owner himself! There's great menu choices. They have three different types of dessert. If you like coconut, mango, and rice, I recommend their "sticky rice and mango" dessert.
Beijing House Restaurant
My spouse is on a clear liquid diet for a couple of days, so here we are. My spouse got the large wonton soup. It was a huge bowl. The wontons went to waste, but the broth was really good. I had the spring rolls, mango bubble, and General Tso's with hot and sour soup. The spring rolls were nice and crispy on the outside but not quite done on the inside for me. General Tso's was good, but from one restaurant to another, it's different. The rice was a bit bland for fried rice. I did love the soup. I haven't had a lot of Chinese food since moving to Texas, and it was a nice change.
Abysmal services, horrid employees, even worse food. If you can catch some on a good day, then MAYBRZ IT WILL BE GOOD. but if you don't then expect the worst food you've ever eaten your life- IF YOU CAN EVEN EAT IT! I'm not joking the food was inedible AND THERE WAS NO REFUNDS!!! worst ever and that's no lie. They had excuse after excuse but no results. pathetic!!
Ginza Ramen and Poke
Our visit was a bit of a mixed bag. Service wasn't particularly friendly, and there seemed to be a bit of a language barrier, which can be frustrating for all parties involved. My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, and didn't eat most of it. The chicken was thigh meat that wasn't trimmed or cut well at all. There were large pieces with fat and connective tissue still attached, which is unappetizing and was unexpected. Chicken teriyaki is usually grilled breast meat in our experience, so this was a definite let down. The actual sauce on it was ok, but nothing to write home about. I got the sushi burrito with salmon and tuna. It was HUGE, which was awesome, but I was only able to eat half, and sushi doesn't keep well, so half went into the trash, which made me sad. The fish was well cut and portioned well and there was a good balance of veggies, rice, and meat. It did need more sauce, and there were very, very large pieces of cilantro stem in it that I had to keep picking out, which wasn't pleasant and was a little annoying. I would get it again, but I might have to ask for no cilantro, which would be a shame because I love it. Overall, I would only come back if it was just me so I could get a sushirito.
Absolutely delicious! Pork belly was crazy good! My 4 year old loved the Ramen as well. You have to try this place.
Biff Buzby's Burgers
Food is always good here! I got brisket egrolls and The Melt and tots and sweet potato fries. Service is fast and today not so friendly 😕, not rude but no smile.
My first time here and what an AWESOME PLACE!!! I was looking online for a car show/club in San Antonio and saw this Friday Night Car Club so I came over here and I am really glad I am.here! The burger is really good and a good size. Ice cold beer at a very good price and they have Yuengling. The staff is super friendly and super helpful. Shakia helped me, I told her it was my first time here and she explained everything to me, answered my questions, was patient and on top of all that great help she has a beautiful smile, personality that made me feel appreciated. Shakia is the best gem in this super fun experience here! Also, the restaurant is clean. The car show is a lot of fun, lots of good people, nice cars and bikes.
Kobe Teppan & Sushi
Came during Valentine’s Day and the wait was 40 minutes, which I did not mind and I had expected that without reservation. A buzzer was given and we were able to wait in the car until a table was ready for us. The server was nice, but we were not provided sauces until a few minutes after receiving our sushi rolls. I also ordered a drink that I never received, but I get it, Valentine’s Day is busy so I won’t be critical about that. The food was okay, but I’ve had better tasting ones at Kumori and Kin Thai Sushi. I’m assuming because this was the $20.99 all you can eat dinner option that I had selected. Overall, it was an okay experience for my first time.
I had a great experience, but I've noticed that the hibachi chefs don't seem to have as much enthusiasm lately. My husband ordered the New York strip with fried rice and vegetables, and I had the chicken and shrimp with vegetables my husband ordered some sake as well. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Our total came to about $92, but we appreciated the military discount they offer, which was a nice touch.
Chef Joe Asian Cuisine
My friends and I decided to try Chef Joe's Asian Cuisine for an early Sunday afternoon meal, and we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn’t very busy, which allowed us to be seated immediately at a spotlessly clean table. The staff greeted us warmly, handed us menus, and promptly took our drink and food orders. The service was impressively quick—our dishes arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared in no time. We started with the soup, which was a standout and set the tone for the rest of the meal. I ordered General Tso's chicken, while my friends went with the sesame chicken and the chicken with broccoli. Every dish was delicious—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. We all agreed it was some of the best Asian cuisine we’ve had in a while. Though the restaurant wasn’t crowded when we arrived, a few more customers trickled in during our visit, and we noticed several takeout orders being picked up. It’s surprising this place isn’t busier given the quality of the food and service. Overall, Chef Joe’s Asian Cuisine exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be returning. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal!
First time here and will definitely be coming more often. Waitress was super attentive and helpful with our questions. Soups, appetizer, and dishes were brought out piping hot and promptly. Main dishes were also well served. 3 orders and we paid less than 50 bucks!
375 Social Kitchen
One of our favorite spots on the NE side of San Antonio. The food is absolutely great with a delightful fusion of flavors and ingredients. Everything on the menu is incredible, and the staff is top notch. All our guests that come into town get treated to a dinner here, and the breakfast items are fantastic as well. Located in The Forum, this is a fantastic gem!!
A nice restaurant with beautiful interiors and friendly environment. We were 7 people who walked in around 1 pm on a Sunday and they were able to seat us without prior reservations. The drinks were good. Food was yumm and delicious. The best was the Korean cucumber, the wonton nachos giant ship, fried rice was good, portion sizes are super huge. Fries were good. Edamame were not as expected and they really need to work on their avocado toast. Overall it is a beautiful place serving good food providing a good number of options to select from. Overall we had a great time.
Wild Wing Station - Walzem
Simple counter-service restaurant where everything is served in foam containers and condiments serving size packets, fountain soft drinks or bottles are available, staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. On this first visit, we didn't even have wings, opting for chicken tenders and fried catfish, but we can't wait to come back for those two dishes alone. The meats were really good, but we couldn't get enough of the crinkle fries (with seasoning) which were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. I also really enjoyed the hush puppies and coleslaw which remind me of Long John Silver's.
I called in my order of 50 piece bone in wings. I was on Austin Hwy when I called in my order, so I knew there would be a wait when I arrived. There was an undecided couple in front of me, but I was finally able to pay for my order. They always show you the food before bagging it, and I think the chicken I got was malnourished because my 50 piece was the tiniest wings I have ever seen in my life! The flavors were delicious, but why were the wings so small this time? I wish the Austin Hwy location was opened on Sundays, but I'm glad Walzem Rd wasn't closed.
Lai Sinh - Vietnamese Cuisine : NO DINE-IN
Came here to pick up lunch for my coworkers and I as we wanted to try something new. Saw the high rating and figured it’d be worth a try. The ratings are spot on. The food was awesome and my coworkers enjoyed their meals as well. They only do take out/curbside but not much of an inconvenience for me. Did all of the ordering through their website, they gave me an estimated completion time and by the time I got there, I was greeted and had my food right on time. The person handling my order was super friendly. Will definitely be back.
Always excellent!!! This restaurant is takeout only and even still the presentation is beautiful. Plus the owner is kind and makes sure you get what you’ve ordered. Everything I’ve tried is delicious but the spicy lemongrass soup is my favorite. The brisket is tender and easy to eat and the herbs are always fresh. Plus you get a generous portion. Make sure to make a trip if you haven’t.
Pho Ba 9
Awesome spot for pho in San Antonio. I was craving pho and this was a great spot to fill that. I got the combination special and the broth was just right. Fried egg rolls were on point. My friends of Thai was great too. Everything came out super fast and I was very surprised. Staff was super friendly and patient. I will definitely come back to try more.
This place was a secret gem hidden in the heart San Antonio discovered literally 15 minutes before it closes and they happily served us. Aside from pho, the food is surprisingly exquisite!! The clam dish was a starter and it was delicious!! Followed with family dinner, Canh chua cá kho tộ So So good and we came from SoSoCal and we have to say, the food is here not only Authentic it is delicious…I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed, we will return!!!
SAT Asian Seafood Restaurant & Bar Main Store
Lily was an amazing server. The food was delicious!!! We got to seafood boil and orange chicken with fried rice. Seasoning on the boil was really good. Medium spice level does have a kick to it with was good for someone who can handle alittle heat.
I had high hopes for this restaurant, but overall, the experience was disappointing. The service, aside from our waitress Dee, was horrible. Dee was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff and overall service left a lot to be desired. The establishment itself felt neglected and in need of some serious love and care. It lacked the welcoming, well-maintained atmosphere you’d expect when dining out. The seafood boil was the highlight of the meal, it was flavorful, and worth the money. However, the pineapple chicken was a complete letdown. It was poorly prepared. If you’re going for the seafood boil and happen to get Dee as your server, you might have a decent experience. Otherwise, the service and overall condition of the place make it hard to recommend.
