The service was very attentive. They made sure to check up on us periodically to take care of us. The interior was also nice and comfortable. We really liked the cutlery and plates! The food was good. We ordered pan fried dumplings, the spicy and sour dumplings, the thumb dumplings, green onion pancakes, and fried green beans. The flavor was good but a little light. My favorite dish was the thumb dumplings and highly recommend it.

I kept seeing this place to and from work and thought I'd give it a try. WOW! I was highly impressed! The stuff is so friendly and helpful on recommendation! The food was serviced family style. We ordered the Cheese crab puffs, the general chicken with white rice, the pork soup dumplings and beef dumplings. The food was so fresh and delicious! I wasn't excepting the pork dumplings soup to sweep me off my feet! So in love with this dish. Will definitely be back again soon!

Fast and delicious food. Quite easy to order and several options to pick from. Can do better with the noodles and added spice. Soup dumplings were hot and delicious. Clean tables and chairs as well as the restrooms. Small plates and portions so you can order more variety and good for sharing.

Friendly staff, beautiful spot on the second floor with patio space. The food was good but not great to me, except the cucumbers. Those were our favorite. I wish the glass noodles were cut before being served. They were stuck together. Soup dumplings were good in taste but I’ve had better. Pot stickers were a second fav of mine. It tasted house made. I’m open to trying more things on the menu.

Good atmosphere for casual dinner/ date, fast service, consistent food. One of our go to dinner places. The service is always friendly and fast. They have a large menu which is really nice. Their xiaolaobao are good, and the fried dumplings are also good. Noodles are okay, not the best but not bad. Would not recommend the zhajiangmian.

It was our first time at Dough Zone, and we loved everything we ordered. Nice portion and prices are reasonable compared to some of the dumpling houses elsewhere. The dumpling soup was so yummy, the wraps were soft, and the soup tasted just right, not bland or salty. Their cucumber in chilly oil was fresh and super crunchy. We ordered four, thinking it was a small single portion size omg...when the waitress brought 4 dishes out, all of our jaws dropped. Each plate was full. They were so delicious that we finished 3 plates. Lol Everything was delightful. Good find!!! The only downside to this place is parking. There is not enough parking, and some of the lots are fairly small. We struggled to find an available parking lot, and once we found one, the space was very tight for our pickup truck. However, if you live in the Heights, near Dough Zone, it's better to just walk there or take an Uber. Happy dining :)

JJ Garden was just about a decent experience and it looks nicer from the outside. When you walk inside, you walk straight through the majority of the tables on the way to the register. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it does inhibit the space of others eating. The menu is put well together and is priced appropriately and so I'll award credit for that. I ordered the Tangy and Spicy Chicken, and it was that, but the taste was faint and at least to me it was not spicy. With that entrée comes both a soup and a egg roll or spring roll. I got the hot and sour soup and a spring roll. The soup was not watery but it also wasn't the most flavorful, and so as a result I'll dub it a "solid" soup. The spring roll was better than the soup and I would also describe it as solid, but it's also very basic and I could call it mass produced. In regards to the food I might be a bit biased, but this is still just an opinion. The last note I'll add is on the service. The food came out within 10ish minutes of being order and was hot. All and all, I'd recommend this only to those residing near it and those looking for a quick and cheap lunch meal.

Trying to escape back out of town from NRG traffic after a Texans win over Steelers and remembered this place that we never had been to. OMG really great flavors and sauces with every dish. Everyone was happy and full during the 3 hour trip back home. We'll stop again next trip! Give them a try 😉

Kim was our server she was beautiful and very kind. She made our first experience worth it. She was patient and went over and beyond to make sure we felt good and happy while dining. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Flavors were paired very well with each dish.

Just ate here for the first time and will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is great and the aroma that hits you when you walk in had my mouth watering. Everything I ate was stellar but I highly suggest ordering the soup dumplings and sichuan chili beef. And to top it all off our service from Kim was phenomenal, she really went above and beyond and made our meal memorable. Definitely give this place a try if you haven't.

Me & my partner are new to the area & on our first night in our apartment we ordered takeout from here. Service was fast and the food was super hot by the time we got back to our place. Also, the employees were very nice and helpful. The food was absolutely AMAZING! Such a great meal that made our first night memorable. We will definitely be coming back!

Went here for my sisters birthday and it was DELICIOUS! I got the orange chicken with the crispy spring rolls. I also tried the lo mein and the steamed chicken dumplings and it was all 10/10. The orange chicken is super fresh and it even has small pieces of the orange peel in it that add so much freshness. Will definitely be coming back here in the future 🤤

Decided to try out this location. It's a beautiful building. The dining area is spacious and clean. The atmosphere though is kinda cold and unfeeling. I ordered chicken strip basket, shrimp fried rice and a small order of green beans. The strips were small but juicy. Rice is okay but oily and smushy. Green beans are a little overcooked.(edit: found a little rock in it) They have a minimum requirement of having to order at least $10 of food to place an order. I think I'll stick to my usual location instead. It took quite some time to get my food. It was almost $40 and the food wasn't as great as it looked.

Had the fried chicken and catfish. Fried rice was a little bit bland but went well with the more flavorful fried chicken which was good and had a bit of kick to it. Portions were good too. Would definitely come again.

Intro: the food is good, but those chicken wings are fire! Pros: -the chicken wings (red chicken) is amazing. Some of the best chicken wings I have ever eaten. -the food was clean and presentation was nice. -the price was reasonable -seasoned food correctly. Sweet and sour was good. Cons: -the shrimp fried rice was bland but it did have nice portion of shrimp Overall: I recommend

What a cute spot! I got the Wok Fried Rice bowl with Smoked Brisket. I am a huge fan of kimchi so this dish was amazing to me. The service was quick and friendly. My friends raved about the brisket egg rolls but they finished it before I got to try any. I will definitely be back to try so other dishes.

Hello foodie folks…can I just say wow…crazy new spot in the heart of H-town Galleria area that just opened two days ago and still in their soft opening phases. However, they got their system and wonderfully, smiling staff together. They are inside a new Food Hall and I love the give. Went here during lunch and there definitely was a strong vibe and energy level. The food was seasoned well and good portion size. Good amount of shrimps, tasty noodles and delish Brussels sprouts!! If you want to just lounge around, there are comfy booths and seats all over. Come check them out. ChowChow Time!!

Found this place on Google maps and I do not regret it. The woman at the front desk was really nice and welcoming, our server was really chill and overall the service was great. When the food came I did not expect it to be as fresh as it was which gave me the impression that they care about the quality of ingredients that they use. The Orange Chicken and the Pan Fried Dumplings especially were SUPER fresh and tender so I recommend those. It's a small place, and gets a bit crowded over the weekends but definitely a place I'll go back to again. Bonus points for it having good food so close to my area👌🏼

I was craving Chinese food while in the Houston area and had heard great things about Bamboo Cafe, so I decided to swing by and give it a try. I definitely don’t regret it. As soon as you walk in, you’re hit with a beautiful aroma. The place was PACKED! While I stood in line to place my order, more and more customers kept walking in and joining the line—this place was seriously busy. The menu is extensive, but I kept it simple with a chicken and broccoli platter, fried rice, and chicken fried dumplings. The chicken and broccoli in brown sauce was SUPER amazing—I inhaled the platter. The fried rice was perfectly cooked, and the chicken dumplings were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. No exaggeration, this is the best Chinese food I’ve had in my life. You MUST come try this place!

I always love the food , I always order a triple mongolian delight , the flavor was good , i can’t find any meat , it was more onion , almost finish eating , and it was just a little pieces of meat ,other than that, the food is good

I have never try the wonton soup and it was good, the fried rice was also good! Only thing that I didn't like at all and will never buy are the wings! They looked old and dry!

After spending 57.16 with of course Door Dash fees, what does the restaurant expect us to do, eat with our hands. They didn’t even put napkins or even a chop stick in the bag. Called the restaurant back and the person on the phone attempted to play like it was the wrong restaurant and had me call two other locations. A simple request was to deliver the silverware. Not even an apology or anything! After being bounced around and being placed on hold, the phone hung up. Terrible service. Even though for some it may not be a big deal but it really is because bad customer service will close your business. Take a hint people! PART 2 We got some forks from next door to eat. My order orange chicken in fact was awful. The pieces of chicken were huge. Who wants to eat chicken that is supposed to be cut up in small pieces that are gigantic. In a previous picture it showed several broccoli around the orange chicken. My entree tasted more like Carmel and not orange. The lo mein noodles were extremely dry. The egg rolls and crab putt were good. This experience has been terrible all the way around. I was so hungry too!

I’m here for one night stopping through and tried this place because on the website the food looked good! BUT If I could give no stars that’s what I would give! I’m so mad I just wasted over $40 on this food, it was flavorless, the sauce for my tso chicken was RUNNY, they put no sauce in the bag for the eggrolls which was also gross and the fried rice tasted like nothing smh. Would not recommend 0/10. Don’t waste your time!!!
