Brother's Seafood
Yesterday, my wife and I were both working near The Woodlands and got stuck in 5 o'clock traffic on the way home. So we decided to stop and eat somewhere nearby. We searched Google for crawfish and found this hidden gem! We ordered boiled crawfish, shrimp, crab legs, boiled eggs, and potatoes, "all spicy" and loved the flavors. If we're ever in the area again, we’re definitely coming. A must-try spot!
I got the Brother's Special Louisiana Fried Rice which was interesting compared to most Fried rice dishes I've had. It wasn't bad just different in taste. Still good enough to enjoy. However, the Crab Sauce was overly salted.
China Kitchen
Need to get lunch and our kids love Chinese food. Looked it up and this place showed 4 plus stars. Went in a wall full of dishes, then drinks tables to eat at. People were in and out. Got the food, it was yummy. We all didn’t have time to talk it was so good! Would recommend to try it.
My first time trying the food and I am satisfied! I got the boneless spare rib combo with veggie fried rice and fried dumplings. They are not stingy at all with their servings which I appreciate because my son keeps returning to my plate. The lady was also very lovely. I definitely will be returning to try more
Chycho's Pollos Al Carbon Tacos
The food is always decent (average) and good quality definitely. Some of the dishes are better than others though. Corn tortillas are excellent 👌 enchiladas and quesabirria are good. Drinks are good. Atmosphere is good and good music. It's local and fairly priced and the service is always good so we eat here a lot even though it's not the best IMO
Chycho’s Pollos Al Carbon Tacos – My Absolute Favorite Spot! Listen, if you haven’t been to Chycho’s Pollos Al Carbon Tacos, you are seriously missing out! This place is hands down one of my favorite spots to grab amazing, flavorful food, and it’s an experience all on its own. I can go on and on about all the reasons I love it, but let me break it down for you. First off, the customer service is top-notch. You ever have one of those days where you don’t feel like getting out of the car? No problem—they come right up to your window and take your order while you chill in the parking lot. It’s the little things like that that make me keep coming back. They’re always friendly, welcoming, and quick, which makes the whole experience even better. Now, let’s talk about the food. Oh my gosh, where do I even start? The tacos are insane! You can literally taste that smoky, grilled perfection in every bite. The al pastor tacos? Absolute heaven—juicy, seasoned perfectly, and that little bit of char takes them over the top. The fajita tacos? That bold, mesquite-grilled flavor makes them downright addictive. And don’t even get me started on the pollo al carbon—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. If you love real, authentic tacos, this is where you need to be. And because they really know what they’re doing, they also have some of the best fruit platters, sprinkled with Tajín for that perfect mix of sweet and spicy. It’s the kind of refreshing treat that just hits different, especially on a hot day. The vibe here is just as good as the food. It’s casual, laid-back, and has that hidden gem feel—you know, the kind of place only the real food lovers know about. Whether you’re eating in the car, hanging under the pavilion, or grabbing your order to go, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel at home. And let’s talk about prices! What?! You can fill up without breaking the bank, and with the quality of the food, it feels like you’re getting way more than what you pay for. Bottom line—Chycho’s is THAT place. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and go. This is the kind of place that deserves to be packed all the time because it’s just that good. Seriously, stop sleeping on it and go get yourself some tacos! You’ll thank me later.
Las Ramadas Mexican Grill & Bar
Excellent spot 👌 and the food was on point 👉 for real. I just moved to the area, but I might have just found my new favorite spot... service was extra friendly the food was delicious and the beer was ice cold ❄️ a must try if in the area
Las Ramadas Mexican Grill and Bar offers a pleasant dining experience with a few notable highlights and a few letdowns. Unfortunately, the salsa served with the chips tasted more like canned tomato sauce than a fresh, zesty dip. I was drawn here by Google Maps claiming they served pozole, but to my disappointment, it wasn’t on the menu. This is more of a Tex-Mex spot rather than an authentic Mexican eatery. The green sauce I saw in the pictures was available but not served unless specifically requested. It was a mild avocado salsa with minimal heat, suitable for those who prefer a subtler flavor. On the positive side, the carne guisada was deliciously tender, and the taco salad in a tortilla shell bowl was mostly enjoyable, although the frijoles at the bottom were less impressive. The decor is a standout feature, with beautifully carved chairs and a vibrant mural depicting a Mexican landscape. This restaurant seems best suited for those who prefer milder flavors. I give it 4.5 stars overall. However, I’m deducting a star from Google for misleading information about the pozole.
Vee's Kajun Kitchen
This place is a hidden gym that everybody should go seek. Customer service is great and the food is amazing! Vee's has every quality your looking for in taste and they make sure your belly is full 😉
I decide to give this food truck a try. I got the boudain balls and fries and also the wings and fries. Everything was very flavorful and crispy. The staff were very friendly here. If your in the area give this place a try.
Tai Kee
Authentic but inviting Vietnamese restaurant with classic options but great variety outside of Vietnamese cuisine. Their pork vermicelli bowl was perfectly tender and flavorful, and they had a good appetizer list as well. Definitely worth trying, and also making a regular spot if you enjoy Asian food. Price is excellent and lots of seating. Staff is very courteous and speaks both English and Vietnamese.
I was surprised to find such a good restaurant in the North West. It was really clean and the owner was very polite and welcoming. I ordered a plate of vegetarian crispy noodles, because today was Ash Wednesday. I wanted a 100% vegan meal. And you know what, it was the best plate of noodles I have ever had. I think you should come here and try it, you will find a delicious dish to fill your hungry stomach. I want to give this restaurant 6 stars.
Osaka Japanese Steakhouse
Love it here! Our second time visiting. The cook was super nice & funny but our waiter was okay :( she didn’t come to check on us. Other than that, food was amazing. 🫶🏼 In the picture Front: Spider roll 10/10 Back: Shaggy dog 10/10
Both the sushi rolls and hibachi items were delicious! I ordered the twin lobster hibachi however, and I wouldn’t say you get a bang for your buck. The texture after grilling makes the lobster taste more like shrimp, so I would just order shrimp, but the presentation was nice. One order that definitely stood out would be the Crunchy Roll. I don’t know how much Crunchy Rolls I’ve had in my life, but the one here has been by far the tastiest one yet. I’d also recommend the hibachi Calamari.
Asia Market Thai Lao Food
Came to explore Asian groceries around Houstan and we discovered this place. The grocery section is very small and has very limited options in term of groceries. Another part of this place served as a small restaurant that serves, of course, thai food. The food is okay and their service is fine but there's lot more room for improvement when it comes to the taste. We tried few dishes and one of it was Tom Yam soup, a dish that Thais are most known with. It was just ok. Nevertheless it's a good experience.
10/10 totally recommend! Their food is the most authentic Thai restaurant in HOUSTON! And I mean it! From the yummy food to the amazing service the staff has to the different produce because it is a market. I recommend the pad Thai (beef) and the pad see ew (beef).
Pokeworks
5 stars, the cashiers are great, the owner NEVER lets the line get long. Everything is so fresh and delicious!! I love everything here. There’s a good amount of space to dine in. The ice machine has the crunchiest ice. Everything here from A-Z is great!!
Not knocking down more stars because we have gotten poke from here multiple times and its always delicious but today i ordered two bowls and one of them i asked for reg tuna and spicy tuna and when i opened my bowl one of the tuna was completely gray/brown. I ordered as soon as it opened so i would expect that everything would be fresh but looks like they just used tuna from Monday morning (it’s wednesday today) since they didnt open yesterday because of the winter storm. Picture for reference of the nice pink tuna and the gray/brown one. I also always order this combo so i know its not about a difference between the two tunas.
Simon's Café
This place has pretty good food for cafeteria style setting. I tried chicken with noodles and had a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. The potatoes tasted a little plain but everything else I would say was good. Looking forward to trying it more going forward.
we were talking about this place today and it inspired me to write this review. we used to live two blocks from the mall and we would go regularly for lunch. The food here is absolutely incredible the staff is always so kind and they seem to be working very hard. we wish this place was a chain restaurant. hopefully we'll come back soon to visit it, I miss the mashed potatoes and meatloaf!
Betelgeuse Betelgeuse
This place is cool. You just have to come and experience the vibe yourself. Because this place is a vibe. The pizza was actually super good, came out hot and fresh. Perfect amount of cheese and the crust was just to die for. Want pizza and drinks? This is the place for you.
It’s a great spot for grabbing pizza and drinks. When we went for dinner on Monday, it wasn’t too crowded. The weather was finally cooling down. The pizza was really tasty and arrived quickly! We also enjoyed the ranch and tried the wings. The only thing I’d suggest is a bit more sauce on the wings, but they were still really tasty. My companion was happy with the beers he had. The atmosphere and decor are awesome, especially the Halloween decorations. The restroom has this wall of mirrors, which is kind of fun after a few drinks. The staff was super friendly and even checked in to ask about my friend's cocktail preferences! I’ll definitely be back!
Dan's Seafood & Wings
I ordered the blackened grilled fish with fried rice. It was pretty good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The plate was FULL!! The tartar sauce tasted better with the rice than the fish. My kids polished off my food when I got home...they loved it as well.
been coming here for a few months, food is good , but last visit on 4-10-25, customer service was nowhere to b found. i ordered fish nuggets(which comes with fries)and a drink, i also wanted the 9 fried shrimp without any fries or hushpuppies, Diana D. at the register said it comes with fries, i told her to keep the fries i just wanted the fried shrimp. she seemed puzzled. i told her never mind just the fried fish nuggets. when order was ready i only got fish, no fries, she didn't even offer to get me fries! time to go back to Baytown seafood, service way better there. no more Dan's for me. i demand customer service at food establishments or NO tip!
