Bonsai China Art
The buffet part is actually called China Bear, but this place pops up And tricked me into going with its 4.2 stars. If you look up China Bear the reviews are deplorable. People find roaches in the food and flies in the soup. For the actual buffet, The food was cold and disgusting. The variety was severely lacking. The potato salad tasted like cardboard. The tilapia was rubbery and tasted like it had been there for hours. The cheese wantons were awkwardly warm like they had been under the warmers also for hours. I hope I don't get sick from eating this food. Waste of money. The waiters were good and attentive. The art is pretty.
First time me and my wife and I just loved. Great place!
Chuan Cafe
Finding this place was a score for me! I enjoyed everything. I will agree with one reviewer who said that the hot and sour soup could be a little bit more sour, but I still liked it. I ordered Mongolian beef with fried rice, an egg roll, and the hot and sour soup. The egg roll reminded me of the eggrolls I grew up with, and it was great! The hot and sour soup was close, but the Mongolian beef was superb!
Highly recommended. Stopped in for a quick lunch as I am a big fan of Sichuan food. Sat down, ordered a hot tea, and spoke with the waitress. My favorite dish is "Mala Ji Ding". At this place, it is called "Spicy Chicken". They add a little Texas flair by adding sautéed jalapeños. It's a nice, spicy touch that adds a new note to an already beautiful flavor profile. I will be back.
Hunam Garden
Honestly was so surprised by this place ! The food is absolutely delicious and they deliver! For the price the portions are awesome. I had the shrimp with lobster sauce plate and oh my goodness it was so so good ! You get a huge portion of soup and a spring roll with the combo order ! I will absolutely be eating here more often 🥰
I had the worst experience. The guy at the front was extremely rude and not helpful after I notified them of a mistake that THEY made. Don’t recommend. The food was gross and seemed as if it had just been sitting there all day. Also it smelled walking in. Save your money and go down the road to a better spot! UPDATE: Let me make it clear, I verbally stated what I wanted and your lady didn’t ring it up properly. I had no problem paying for what I requested. Seems like proper communication wasn’t in place. Definitely nothing fabricated on my end. The food tasted like corn syrup, pure sugar, no need to lie. This is a learning lesson for you, communication is important. And you were very rude when I called requesting a solution, so please spare me! As stated above, do not go here.
Tangs Express 88
Such amazing customer service, at first we were given a different order but they corrected it and even let us keep the other order. The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend
Food excellent and on point . And at a good price . It went up since i first started buying here but other than that it hot and fast service . The place could do a remodel of the inside but i never eat there. And they do online ordering!!!!!!
Dynasty Cuisine
My wife and I love this place, and I haven't found anything in Pasadena that comes close. Excellent service, very friendly, and the order is always correct. We have been a loyal customer since they opened. The food is fantastic, and prices are reasonable. We order pickup, and the food is prepared relatively quickly. We usually order for six people at a time. I did have a slight miss once on my order, as an addon to a dish wasn't that big of a deal. I called the restaurant, and he told me to stop by, and they would fix it. I asked if he could just put a note for next time and hook me up with some free egg rolls, and he said sure, no problem.
I ordered mix veggies with a side of rice. And i got what was a bucket of rice. I think i had rice for the rest of the week. I could not find very many veggies. The food was ok, nothing to brag about. The service was not very good. When i call back to ask about the veggies, the manager said, that next time make sure I get my order right. So I said, next make sure you get the customers order right as well.
Wok D'Lite
Added shrimp to my shrimp in lobster sauce, and they added fake crab meat. Like how you gonna charge more for fake shit.. they need to make it right, not for me but for everyone
honestly never leave reviews but this place is so disgusting the noodles taste like dirty water and i asked for orange chicken they litteraly gave me dry chicken and dumped a pool of orange sauce in the bottom if i could get a refund i would but unfortunately i only have 30 minutes of my lunch. even the fortune cookie was nasty… all stale like how can they mess up a fortune cookie come on
Oriental Wok
Ate here months ago and felt an instant scratch in my throat immediately after. Food was good though. Ordered Garlic Chicken and vegetable fried rice. Vegetables could have been chopped much smaller.
I don’t think the cook wanted to cook today. Moo Goo Gai Pan Han nothing but Cauliflower. Egg rolls had strong ginger taste, the rice was very bland and cream puffs a lil extra burned. I’ve gone to other Oriental Woks and was never disappointed. This one here is a No Go for me. Lady was nice though. But I just threw away 40 bucks!
Oriental Wok
The service was great. The food blew my expectations. Crispy and fresh fried, sweet and sour chicken. Crispy vegetables in the hunam beef. Tender beef. The beef was a bit oily. Even the egg roll was good. These are often overlooked. Don't let the outside fool you. Can't ask for more.
Love coming here! It’s been my favorite place for many years! Food is always great, and price is reasonable.
Grand Buffet
Overall a good place to grab a bite. The atmosphere was good and with no loud music. The first thing I notice when we walked in was that they had a bunch of tables dirty. And that's something they need to work on because it was not a good impression. Anyway, to the food: They have a good amount of food to choose from. The only thing I didn't like was that some of their food was cold! I never got a refill on my soda and my waitress was not very attentive. But the majority of the food tasted good so it's okay.
This place has definitely improved as far as the food goes. I decided to give them a try after about one year passed due to the quality being super low on my last visit. To my surprise things have taken a 360. There is now a hibachi grill up next to the sushi bar. The food was super fresh and aplenty. Happy things took a turn here. The waitress wasn't too great though. She never came and asked if we needed anything throughout the entire time. Didn't get any refills or anything.... So no tip for her. But I'll still be back for the good food.
China Star
This place is good for a lunchtime, The restaurant is clean and the service is good. They have more choices and various foods for the price of $14.00 compared to King Star $13.49. However their steak-pepper and chicken stirred fried are not well. It is special to have a Beef-tripe (honeycomb and pocket tripe, blanket/flat/smooth tripe, book/bible/leaf tripe) and the seashell salad is so great and nice.
I'm from out of town and was craving Chinese food so looked up Chinese restaurant near the hotel and thought I'd give this place a try instead of panda express down the street and I'm glad I did . Cashier Mayra was very helpful explaining how to go plates worked and the prices. $4.99 a lb is a deal ! Sushi only $1 a piece ,Went during lunch hour so it was kind of busy but was very impressed on how fast she was and very friendly with all the customers. Will be going back before leaving town but dining in instead since she said there's more seafood variety after 4 and I love crawfish
Spicy Chen
I will 💯 be back to this place, and soon! We had a lucky accident when the place we were going ended up being closed today. We looked this up and went. Dining Partner (DP) and I came here since we were already in the general area. We were seated immediately, and ordered water while we looked over the menu. Our server Johnny never let our water run dry, and DP had to have his filled about 5 times! We ordered 2 appetizers: the steamed chicken dumplings, and the crab puffs. Both delicious. See description on pictures. Dinner consisted of clay pots, which we don’t see on many menus. See description on pictures. They were delicious! All of this for $45.41 before tip (and that includes tax!) 10/10 will come again
Tried this place twice and it was mediocre. The place I like is closed so I tried this place again. Ordered s&s chicken and the sauce is red water with little taste. The lo mein wasnt supposed to have shrimp and just the noodles due to allergies but there was shrimp. Good thing I looked! Chicken looks good but it’s all breading with very little chicken. A whole container of sauce was poured just to show how watery the sauce is. Needless to say this is the last time I’ll let this place steal my money.

For me and the family this was an average Thai restaurant. The servings were a little small for the price point. The flavors were good not great. The crab fried rice didn’t contain much crab. The pad see ew could use more flavor. Although the papaya salad was delicious! The parking lot is small to accommodate about 10 cars. The restaurant is dated and has about 8 tables. Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star. 5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.
