China Dynasty is take out only. The dining room is closed to the public. I first experienced China Dynasty through door dash after a series of disappointing Chinese restaurants in the area. On a whim I ordered delivery and the food was a hit. The portions are generous and the food is very flavorful. I’ve since had China Dynasty one other time and it was just as good as the first time. The prices are what you can expect for Chinese food. My search for a go to Chinese spot is over. I debated writing this review because I wanted to keep this gem to myself.

We had people over and ordered around $170 in total. When I went to pick up the orders, I tried to use their restroom real quick before the 30 minute drive home and the owner REFUSED TO LET ME USE THE RESTROOM. It wasn’t out of order, he just said “NO, RESTROOM ALREADY CLOSED”… You really should treat people better when your food is average at best.

Came to Wu Chow for our anniversary dinner without a reservation. Online it showed no wait, but when we arrived, there was about an hour wait for indoor seating. Luckily, there was no wait for outdoor seating, so we took the chance even though it was a bit chilly. Thankfully, they had plenty of heaters, and we stayed warm. The food was incredible—we had the Wu Chow special fried rice, shrimp Chengdu, soup dumplings, and chicken Chengdu, and everything was packed with flavor. Service was great too, even though we were outside. Definitely coming back!

Food flavors were absolutely incredible. But our soup was cold. Others sent back food around us for being cold too. The restaurant was not that busy at 5:15 but because we didn’t have reservations we had to sit outside. That was fine, it was a last minute decision while we were walking past to sit. However was waiter was absolutely terrible. He would disappear for long periods of time, others filled our drinks and brought us silverware and soy. He was not good. Other servers seemed attentive with their tables. Never went inside but the atmosphere seemed nice. The patio was nothing special. Probably won’t return ever again. Much better options in Austin.

The inside is very spacious and relaxed, with many sofa tables. It is easy to handle a large group. Their food was okay. It was still not great Chinese compared to other authentic Chinese. You may feel the difference if you know good Chinese….😅 Their service seemed messed up when it was crowded. Their dessert was good! I highly recommend having them. Please keep your stomach free to allow for that 👍

This location is always beautifully decorated with the seasons. There are large statues of horses inside the restaurant. The fully stocked bar is the center of the restaurant. This location used to have valet parking but when we recently went, the valet parking was gone and there was an over priced paid parking lot next to the restaurant. I believe it was $15 for 45 minutes. There was paid parking on the street but it was full and driving the downtown location is frustrating. The food has improved. Everything was fresh and wasn't over cooked like in the past visits. The mixed drinks were delicious and presented well! The sauce on the lettuce wraps has changed to a peanut butter flavored sauce. I'm not a fan of it. I preferred the old table sauces. The plates are large enough to share between 2 people. There has been changes/updates to the menu and new items have been brought in. Overall, this visit was pleasant and the staff was attentive and friendly.

I always knew old thousand had phenomenal dinner and drinks, but now included in that list of phenomenal is brunch… WOW! The best chicken and waffles anywhere! We had several small plates, and they were all delicious. Service was also outstanding, and as if that is not enough… They have three dollar bloodies and mimosas at brunch!

Trendy loud bar/restaurant. Different take on typical Chinese food staples like General Tso chicken gives it a fresh feel. Music is loud but the whole place was vibrant. Service was good. They discounted food when our food took long to come out. Use the parking garage in back and don’t pay. You can “pay” inside and get it free.

This is a small "hidden" eatery that, unless it is shown by someone local, otherwise it's hard to find it. The place is small with 6-7 tables; no table service and there's a kiosk at the entrance to place the order and pay for it. I tried their Dandan noodles and the fried dumplings; the dumplings were average, but I liked the noodles since it had the good numb and spicy level and the portion was good. For my own preference, I brought home most of the noodles and added some over easy eggs and a little leafy greens. Overall, not a bad place for lunch. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Great good , it was delicious we visited happy family restaurant yesterday and it was very good , then portions are fair and the prices are great. My favorite was the spicy noodles. Me and my husband were very happy to find this gem . We would definitely be back to try new dishes.

I love the Mala pot (spicy pot!) !🤤 It tastes sickly authentic! The Over Rice is a must have for students or someone like me who would like to have a quick lunch! (Spoiled alarm: you may not be able to finish the regular size, coz they gave a lot!) The two guys who work there are very friendly. Great customer service too! If you are craving spicy 🔥 Chinese food, come here!

The dry pot is very nice! It included lotus root which was a pleasant surprise for a food truck in Austin. It's a little expensive to go to regularly but offering lamb for 15 dollars isn't too bad. Tastes homemade.

This is probably some of the best Chinese food in Austin. And their delivery is always so nice, polite, friendly, and efficient. And everything always comes exactly as ordered. They do their own deliveries, so they take great care to ensure everything is perfect. Love this place!

The food is pretty good and fresh. The service is fast. They do lack a little spice. The hot and sour soup lacked some spice and flavor, but it was ok. The hunan dishes were good but again lacked some spice. Pretty tasty though and this was a nice place for a quick meal at descent prices. Services was good and the menu very simple. Restaurant was nice and clean with a bright and open atmosphere. Nice place for a group or an informal meal.

Exceptional Dining Experience with Outstanding Service I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with elegant decor and a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere that made for a perfect evening. The food was nothing short of exceptional—every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. From appetizers to dessert, each bite showcased the restaurant’s commitment to quality and freshness. What truly made our visit outstanding was the impeccable service, especially from Christine. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. Her recommendations were spot on, and she went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was perfect. If you’re looking for a restaurant that delivers on all fronts—delicious food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service—look no further than Lin Wu at The Grove. A special thank you to Christine for making our evening so memorable! We will definitely be returning soon.

We went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The service was great, attentive and polite. The food was great, what you order matters. We ordered, green onion pancake, dumplings (not the soup one) green tea salad, flounder fish the best we ever had and roasted duck. Everything was absolutely perfect and delicious. The drinks were all good. We had a lovely time and will go back.

I got the orange chicken with fried rice and fried wonton. I’m a bit confused on the wontons, they’re just fried wonton wrappers. The orange chicken came with sweet and sour sauce on the side, I ate all the chicken. It didn’t feel like the sauce was correct, it’s was pretty thin or something up. The rice was pretty bad, I ended up throwing it away. Not sure what to say there, I checked the photos after I ordered and the rice looks like what I got.

The service was good, but to find a piece of what looks like wire from a scrub sponge in my food is absolutely diabolical the total was $21.10 I asked for egg fried rice and that’s not what they gave me and the wonton wasn’t fried hard

Nice 'hidden' place on the north end of Boerne. Excellent selection of dishes. Service was quick and friendly. Prices are nice with decent portions. Overall a repeat place for us. Tables were a bit sticky though.

Found by accident and will definitely eat here again. Friendly staff. Nice service. The wonton soup was really good. The shrimp with Chinese vegetables was very nicely prepared with high quality ingredients.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Fairfield. Food. The portions are good and delicious, there is always something for everybody. Prices on all the menu are reasonable. Service. Always friendly and attentive. It doesn't matter if you are there to dine in or to pick up your take out order, you are always welcome with a smile. Atmosphere. The place is small, but welcoming and seating haven't been a problem for me and my family. In conclusion, this is an amazing neighborhood restaurant with excellent food and very nice service. The cost-benefit ration here is just great.

This place is small but mighty the food here is so so delicious, with a touch of class . The price is very reasonable for such a good meal. Try and be hooked
