Tempura
I really enjoyed the food here, I think it would be safe to say it was the best goat biriani that I've had, they brought fresh naan to our table, it was a buffet , selection was decent, location and atmosphere was good for me. Lunch buffet on Saturday was $19.99.
I visit Houston 2-4 times a year for family and job reasons, and recently started exploring Pakistani cuisine in the area. Tampura Buffet stands out as the best Pakistani buffet I’ve tried so far. Each dish is made with authentic spices and tastes as close to homemade as possible. The meat in all the dishes is juicy, tender, and has the right texture—not overly soft and limp, but perfect for enjoying every bite. The service is also outstanding; the staff is extremely attentive, ensuring your table is clean and your bread basket is full. I loved the place and will definitely return. If you're looking for genuine Pakistani food, visit Tampura Buffet and support a business that offers delicious food at a fair price.
Chatt 'N Paan
This is probably my favorite hidden gem in Houston that I have only grown fonder and fonder of over the past year I have been here due to one main reason: always available, steaming hot, karak cha (strong tea). The place is also open till 2am. So whether you need an afternoon pickup or want to satisfy a post-tarawee craving, their amazing karak cha seems to always be flowing. The staff has always been friendly, courteous and respectful. They also have all of the usual deshi snacks samosa, shingara, petties (alternatively called chicken/beef puff pastry), aloo chop that pair perfectly with that strong, steaming cup of tea. just one disclaimer: don't expect a coffee house vibe like filli or brass tacks (i basically just go in and out to satisfy my cha craving that only seems to be pacifiable by their unique recipe lol). the place is just a big room with a few office-room type tables with chairs near the front, two big screen TVs broadcasting news in various languages, and a couple of snooker tables in the back. also, if this matters to you, be prepared to deal with a strong desi uncle energy. just pretend you're at a dawat and be on your best behavior and you'll be fine as far as not unintentionally offending anyone (if the owner is by any chance reading this, would like to ask forgiveness myself if I have ever been guilty of not having the best manners with any of your patrons).
The front desk person who is a manager and old guy. He is very very rude. The place is not clean and the old guy charged extra amount for table tennis. He was fighting with all the customers. I would never ever recommend this place. I was a regular customer here. I request the owner of this place to take serious action with his behavior.

I stopped by to get me some food. I’m sorry it was horrible. The food here it’s usually great but lately it’s just been bad especially me coming to get fish you can’t recook fish What made you think you could do that? That was disgusting especially it seemed like it had just been sitting there waiting for you to re-cook it customers have to order fish then you bring it out and cook it. You don cook it then let it sit and then re-cook it because it’s been sitting too long that’s the second time my fish meal was disgusting a couple of weeks ago my chicken tenders and gravy and rice was disgusting so I don’t think I’ll be coming back until you guys get it together…. That’s my second meal I spent money and it was disgusting ……

Vietopia
My family and I visited Vietopia for dinner and the Chinese new year dragon dance celebration! We had a blast! The food is always delicious, the service is always amazing and we are always treated like family 😊 I highly recommend you stop by and check out Vietopia for yourself.
This beef and egg roll vermicelli dish is absolutely fantastic! The grilled beef is perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender perfection, with a nice smoky flavor that complements the fresh green onions and crunchy garlic topping. The egg rolls are golden, crispy, and packed with flavorful filling, adding a delightful crunch to the meal. The vermicelli noodles are light and fluffy, providing an excellent base for the dish, and the fresh vegetables—carrots, lettuce, and herbs—add a refreshing balance. The accompanying sauce ties everything together beautifully, offering a tangy and savory kick. Every bite is a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a satisfying and delicious Vietnamese vermicelli dish!

Haii Keii
My new favorite hidden gem. This place is very pretty it has a low light romantic type vibe .valet Parking was 10 dollars . Going In to the place was very pretty ,the lights gave kill bill retro type vibes. It's best to set reservations as the places tend to get busy. The plates are like tappas so don't expect to get full. The drinks were made pretty and tasted really good. I love how the drink menu looks, very eye catching. The food was cool, the best out the food was the crab rice. Don't sleep on the crab rice. It was so good, well seasoned with a soft shell crab in the middle. That was good AF. My waiter was really nice and answered any questions we had. The food also comes out as you order it . The tables included a purse hanger that you can take home. I went for a birthday and I love the fact that they will display happy birthday on the walls for the birthday person . This place is so beautiful I definitely recommend
Great atmosphere. The decor and vibe do feel like Kill Bill / Blade Runner. The music is house music, and it's not super loud, so you can have a conversation without yelling. I had made reservations and had no problem getting seated immediately. Our waiter made great recommendations for food and drinks and was very attentive. The food is not amazing but not horrible. The nigiri we got were solid for a high scale sushi restaurant. The issue I had was the prices, but I understand that I am paying for the environment. I would recommend going for date night or with a big group. The bill with tip was north of 400 dollars for 2 people.
Molihua
Came here to eat with friends and the staff were so friendly and welcoming! They helped with the menu and gave wonderful suggestions to choose from. The food had unique assortments that just melts with flavor. Amazing. Drinks and desert were just as unique and pretty as well! Atmosphere was a vibe too, 10/10!
Dined in on a Saturday at 6:45 pm for a party of two and was seated immediately by the sushi bar. It’s a very dark restaurant, not much lighting, needs more decorations. We enjoyed everything we ordered! The chefs know what they are doing! We ordered: Hamachi crudo: hamachi melted in our mouths, and the blueberries on top was a nice touch versus jalapeño slices! Crispy temaki salmon tartare: least favorite dish, beds more umami Crispy truffle puff: very soft mochi balls! The truffle flavor could have been stronger Chicken wing mochi karaage: this was so good, presentation could be better, it comes in a brown togo box, a nice round hybrid bowl plate could work better Otoro: buttery goodness and it was on top of ice so it was super chilled Unagi: kind of dry but good flavors Naruto: itty bitty four pieces of goodness XO hand pulled noodles: our favorite dish! Noodles were so soft and chewy! Chilean sea bass: very good flavors Garlic butter shoyo fried rice: the best garlic rice we’ve had! Coconut sago: needs more sweetness, and it was a tad too thick Chocolate and salted caramel cake: the cake was very dry
Money Cat
Leta get the bad out of the way.... if you can call it that. The place is really nice. The decor is great. I'm not a huge fan of all the tables. The layout is a bit weird. One table felt dark and like facing a wall. And they need to fix the light that we sat under. It kept flickering, and at one point it even went fully off door like 5 seconds. Ok, gripes out of the way (Yes, those silly things were my only gripes). The food was amazing! The sushi rolls were our least favorite. The fried mushroom appetizer was really the best part of the meal. The rainbow carrots were phenomenal. The veg tempura was awesome. The smokey drink made with mezcal we had it dive with tequila, and it was great. Seriously, we were stuffed. Yes, it's a bit expensive, as any restaurant at this level is. But it's well worth it. And let's not forget the service. Michael was a great server. He answered everything, was available, and service was with a smile. The food came out quickly and fresh. To be fair, we were there at an off hour, but also that usually means they're understaffed, or they're not ready. No it was awesome. Service overall was wonderful. Seriously, if you want a nice date night and are willing to spend for a really nice and delicious dinner, this has to be on the list.
Money Cat is my favorite new restaurant in Houston. The menu is creative, the food is aesthetically pleasing and exceptionally tasteful. Happy hour here really gives you a bang for your buck. And the service is always friendly and efficient. 10/10 I will always be back!!
Triple Pepper 川三椒
I really liked eating at Triple Pepper! It's in the same plaza/location as the old Pepper Twins in this area, and I think it's considerably better. The service staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is very nice, and the food was excellent. For main dishes, we had two pork dishes - the twice-cooked pork and the pork with preserved mustard greens. For veggies, we had the dry-fried green beans. The twice-cooked pork and dry-fried green beans are classic go-tos for me at Sichuan places, and these definitely lived up to my expectations - very flavorful. The pork with preserved mustard greens was a surprise hit - the pork belly was soft and the mustard greens and seasoning were excellent, especially mixed in with rice. I definitely plan to come back!
The atmosphere is great, making it an ideal spot for hosting guests. The presentation of the dishes is done with great care and attention to detail. The food is delicious, and my personal favorite is the dish with century eggs, which is absolutely outstanding. I also highly recommend the dry pot pork intestines and stir-fried green beans. The environment is clean, and the background music is relaxing, adding to the overall dining experience. Additionally, the service is excellent, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring everything runs smoothly. Whether you're looking for a place to treat friends or simply enjoy a high-quality meal, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. Every aspect, from the ambiance to the food, music, and service, reflects a commitment to quality. Highly recommended!
Gyro Hut
I had the chicken and lamb combo plate and it was delicious. Everything on it was top-notch, the salad, the rice, and the meat. I had them put both sauces on it and feta cheese, and don’t skip getting an order of pita bread because it’s just as good.
This is my first time here, I got the Fries platter with chicken and it tastes so delicious. we had Great service with Reza I highly recommend it and I Must come back.
Happy Lamb Hot Pot
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Happy Lamb Hot Pot in Bellaire is a fantastic dining experience! The service was awesome, and the fresh food provided for the pots was top-notch. The broths were excellent and incredibly tasty, especially the Tom Yum broth, which was exceptional for seafood lovers! It added a vibrant, tangy kick that perfectly complemented the fresh seafood. Don't overlook the dessert options – while small, they are mighty, especially the ice cream cups! I highly recommend this spot for a delicious and satisfying hot pot adventure.
Food was excellent! You can tell that all their seafood and meat that they serve is fresh! Also, the presentation of the food was stunning! Service was good! Very friendly and accommodating! Ambiance is very nice, clean and spacious! Decoration is nice as well.
Happy Guy Chinese Cuisine
Lemon chicken, fried rice, crab meat rangoon, egg drop soup & tea was what I choice. The fried rice is unlike most I’ve had, but still good. The lemon chicken was one of the best I’ve had. I only added a bit of hot oil and no lemon sauce. I’ve also tried the chicken lo mein and that is also very good. Both times the waitress was very attentive & had great service. It’s very peaceful w/no loud music. It’s a decent size restaurant.
The general tso chicken is the best here! When I first got it I thought it was interesting how red it was, after eating it though, I did not care about the color because IT WAS SO GOOD.
