Red Hot Noodle
This is amazing!!! We went in on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed the House Lo Mein. Everything is hot fresh out of the pan. The meats are cooked to perfection. Very authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The Ultimate Pho is husband approved 🩵✨
Really surprised by this place. Next to a truck stop you become a little cautious of restaurants around them. Definitely a hidden gem. Price is really inexpensive and yet you get high quality food. This is definitely on my must go to places. The staff is so friendly and you feel welcomed from the moment you enter.
888 Chinese Restaurant
Don’t waste your $$$ – the food is disappointing. I ordered from the traditional Chinese menu, expecting it to be better than places like Cooking Girls or Hu’s Cooking since it looked like an “authentic” Chinese restaurant. However, the cumin beef was one of the worst I’ve had anywhere – just a few slices of meat and mostly onions. The twice-cooked pork was also a letdown. The meat look raw and undercooked, with way too much fat. I am taking the foods back to them tmr
Probably wouldn’t come back to this location but honestly it’s really hard to find good Chinese food in Houston. The combination rice seemed over cooked or like they don’t clean the pans properly so it looks super greasy and honestly lacks flavor for having 3 meats. All the meats seemed over cooked and just bland. The beef brocoli also taste bland and lacked flavor for being filled with sauce. Just not great for the price they charge. The only thing I cared for was the eggroll.
Shanghai Inn Chinese Restaurant
My name is author Chauncey Taylor and I visited this place for a order of "Orange Chicken & Shrimp Fried Rice." It was fresh, hot, and cooked well creating a delicious taste that I enjoyed. I'll definitely be making "Shanghai Inn" my top pick for Chinese food. The service and atmosphere is "Great" as well. Highly recommend.
They are an outstanding flavor all their own. Hearty servings in appetizers, entrees, and sides. They serve real egg rolls, none of those blah spring rolls. We opted for the family dinners for $16.99. each person gets their own entree, soup, dessert, and appetizers (4 crab puffs, 2 ribs, 2 egg rolls). I remembered too late about a picture, but you can see it's quite the spread for 2 people. My son joined us later and our bill was under $50.
Charming Cafe-does not deliver
Price - Too expensive for the portion and quality they offer Portion - Chinese food has decent portion, Japanese food has lower than average portion Quality - Taste fine. It's between edible and enjoyable. I don't know who's making the rolls but they crumble very easily. Seems lazy and sloppy. Overall review - This place is one of the sorriest Asian restaurants I have ever visited. If you want Asian food, go to panda express and save your money. Panda express is cheaper and even has a better quality than this place. If you want Japanese food, go somewhere else that offers decent quality of Japanese food.
Charmin Café in Crosby, Texas serves a very traditional Asian meal at non pretentious prices. The place has adequate seating for a nice crowd. Come between 11 and 3 to enjoy the lunch menu. My wife the sweet-and-sour chicken, salad, fried rice , egg roll and crab puffs all for under nine dollars. I enjoyed a spicy Kung pao chicken and ate liberally off her plate. The wait staff, the atmosphere, and the prices all say, come back again.
Express Chinese Food
Horrible! Gave it another try and it was worse! Female taking orders was dry and rude. Definitely will never go back! Lo Mein was terrible...i don't know what type of noodles they used but they had a funny texture. I also ordered combination rice and it was horrible too! I ended up eating some and threw the rest away! The eggroll was the best thing! Just moved to the area and they definitely need more food choices other than Mexican food!!
Good service, very nice and welcoming! Food is good with very generous portions.
T. Jin's China Diner
Fantastic food, fair pricing, large portions, and lightning fast delivery. This is not an exaggeration. We ordered Mongolian triple delight with fried rice (my third time ordering in a month), a chicken stir fry, egg rolls, crab Rangoon at 8:45pm. Delivery was completed at 9:00pm. We live almost 10 minutes from the place! I was floored. Food was piping hot and the crab Rangoon was literally still sweating from the fryers. Love it!
Food served fast out of brown rice at a Chinese restaurant!! Surprised they make that here and food served hot and portions ok lunch ends at 3pm if u like egg roll and soup free with lunch order
Oriental Garden
I seriously cannot recommend this place enough. We had the general chicken and beef chow fun. Really tasty and fresh, flavors were rich. This definitely hit the spot. Now one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. We are going again for my mom’s birthday this weekend!
Wonderful service fresh flavorful food. Definitely recommend. I ordered it to go since I won’t eat it all but to eat in and they accommodated no problem. Really appreciate them.
Dac Hung BBQ Restaurant
Gave me old meat. Hid under bottom of plate. I took it back and they refused to replace or give me my money back. No good meat bbq pork
I'd been meaning to try this place for years but the roasted meats hanging in the window intimidated me. The man working there was especially nice and welcoming, the food is one of the better values for quality I've found in a while. The roasted pork and duck were both nice and fit the price I will be returning often. Very good option for healthy eating.
Wok & Karahi - Halal Chinese IndoPak
The crispy beef was tantalizing and amazing perfectly crispy and crunchy outside yet soft beef. We got the sesame chicken as well which was amazing and flavorful and correctly cooked. Food tasted fresh and amazing service from waiter. One entree is good for 2 people. Have to order noodles and rice separately but that also is good for 2 people. The soup was a bit hearthy but didn’t skimp on quantity. We went with Hotter for the sesame if you are a fan of spice that is a good level but prefer less of a kick go below.
We were craving gyoza and decided to try a new spot - what a wonderful surprise! The food is authentic, made fresh to order, and absolutely delicious. We especially loved the lollipops, fried rice, and Mongolian beef. And dessert presentation was over the top! I hope W&K finds success and is an option for us for a long time to come!
Noodle Kitchen
This place is super authentic! The food is excellent, made to order, so fresh & very, very reasonably priced. You can see into the kitchen which is a nice touch - it’s refreshing to know that a place is organized and clean. The chef is in a chef’s jacket (is that the right word - forgive me if I’m wrong, insert correct word if so) and the server is probably a family member. Super polite, very attentive & informative on the menu. The menu is clearly defined and, as I said, the prices are very good. The whole Peking Duck is only $49.95 - looks to be a huge meal at a phenomenal price. I had the scallion pancakes that were on point - perfectly crisp and thin - not greasy and made when I ordered. The Tonkotsu Ramen (I got beef) was so good. The broth was rich and creamy. The noodles are hand-pulled. It was full of all the good stuff - boiled egg, thinly sliced, tender beef, mushrooms of several varieties (my fav) scallions, veggies - so good! It was a HUGE bowl - I couldn’t stop myself from eating all the pancakes, so I took home two lunches worth of Ramen. Gonna enjoy lunch this week!
My absolute favorite Chinese restaurant! Im a pescatarian and it’s been hard to find Chinese places that don’t have dumplings are already mixed with meat and they do!They seriously have the best crab soup dumplings and I have yet to find a spot that serves Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumplings just like they do here. And let me tell you, their cucumber salad is the best I’ve ever had! The sauce is to die for. I highly recommend the black garlic tonkotsu ramen and the oil spill noodles. Trust me, you won’t regret it! Their second location on 242 closed down and I was bummed, but I’m so glad they’re still open off of Kuykendahl. Please go check this place out. You’ll absolutely love it!
Taste of Thai & Sushi
Oh my gosh, this restaurant is 100% the best Thai restaurant in Texas. I cannot believe how good the food was and the service was absolutely amazing. Lek is so smart and knew every dish on the menu. If you haven’t been to this restaurant you are missing out on an amazing experience
I’m not from Texas and I expecting to eat really good curry and I hate ate here and 2 other places and your curry is really watery fried rice is bland and there is only egg scrambles in it where are the onions peas and carrots. My paanag curry was not good at all when you make this curry the sauce is thick but not two thick not runny I would recommend a revamp of the friend rice and curry. I’m a chef and there are just certain things you can’t skip when making things be authentic and to taste authentic I’m really upset I spent money here. Never again. Like why is the rice so bare? And it’s jasmine instead of regular white rice smh and the orange looking sauce is the curry but it’s so runny
Miya Ramen Bistro
Have had both dine in and take out. Pleasantly surprised. Great menu items were suggested by the server. All of our vegetarian options were delish. Cute bistro feel and very clean.
The food was fantastic. We were greeted promptly. The restaurant is clean and organized. The employees were courteous and helpful. There are separate restrooms. Ample parking, both standard and ♿️ as well as accommodations for accessibility. Family-friendly environment but highly recommended for individual dining as well.
