General Joe's Chopstix

I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice. They have bugs in their chicken, & when i called to report the incident they told us to come back the next day to either get a full refund or to remake the order. We went up there the next day to get our refund & the manager was being rude, didn’t even apologize for the incident.

I haven't eaten at one of these places since I was a kid. I saw this place on Westheimer and decided to stop in for dinner last night. They give you a ton of food. The prices are very reasonable. The staffless friendly. My order was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Most importantly, the food was delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Lucky Village

3566reviews

Located on a busy street Lucky Village was a pleasant surprise. They have the traditional buffet fare, but had a whole row of mostly seafood dishes which were all tasty and different from typical buffet offerings. They had a small sushi section as well. The deserts were fresh and they had a special treat with their jello offerings. I don't remember the name of the technique but the jello had a solid and clear mix which made it look like a slice of cake. Really a nice touch. I believe for two we spent $38 - $39 dollars for dinner service. I liked the coconut shrimp and pork ribs. I think the flavors were good on everything I ate. Would recommend.

Pretty good for the price! The waitress was very attentive, she kept the glasses filled and the table clean. There was hot food coming out to the buffet often too.

Spicy Hunan

311reviews

After work on Friday, my colleagues and I went to Hunan Bistro for dinner, craving grilled fish. This long-standing Hunan restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered: - Double Pepper Fish Head: Tender and flavorful, with noodles soaked in a delicious broth. - Spicy Grilled Fish: Well-marinated, served with cabbage, cauliflower, and seaweed. Not too spicy and very tasty. - Stir-Fried Lotus Root Balls and Black Fungus: Crunchy and refreshing, a perfect balance to the spicy dishes. - Mao’s Braised Pork: Tender and savory, with a perfect mix of fatty and lean meat. - Long Pickled Beans with Chicken Gizzards: Tangy and refreshing, a great dish to end the meal. We were fully satisfied, and the cost was under $30 per person. It was busy, so service was a bit slow, but overall a great experience.

I use to stop in for the smoked pork fried rice as it was one of my favorite dishes. Through the years either the chef or recipe has changed. Went in today to give it a try and I wasn’t a fan. No smoked flavor and rice was barely fried. Guess it is time to try something new.

Lucky Dragon

110reviews

Always on the hunt for the best chinese restauarant in Houston. We didn't want to miss out on the Lucky Dragon. Although our server did not speak English, we were able to identify some tasty dishes. We ordered the Honey Sauce Shrot Ribs and the Sizzling Beef. Both of these dishes were fantastic and highly recommended. Portions were decent size but you will definitely want to order one dish per person at the table. They brought out a good initial portion of rice and refilled it when needed. Enjoyed the authentic homestyle experience. P.s.- They brought out forks but they were kind enough to bring chopsticks upon request.

They must have a new chef because the food is so good! This is probably my favorite family style dining on Bellaire now. The lunch portions and pricing is fantastic. I've came here for dinner as well. Get the honey sauce with beef short ribs and the lobster. Restrooms are clean as well and the place doesn't have a weird smell.

Timmy Chan's

Mennnnn!!!!!! I'm stuffed! This place is 💣!!! Tasted freeeessshhhh I tasted the rice and it was sharper then a pencil tip ON POINT! ... i love me some timmy

PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE SERVING IT! I ordered here tonight after a 16 hour shift at the hospital because I was too tired to cook and their food is usually decent and affordable. I ordered a large sweet and sour chicken, a large egg drop soup and 2 egg rolls for $20. The order came out quick and I headed home to unwind and eat with my family. The chicken was a little tough and drier than usual but I was happy that everyone had something decent to eat until my husband went for his second serving of chicken and found a HUGE metal shaving in the chicken. I tried calling this location 5x with no answer. We were both too exhausted and needing to do bed time with our kids so we decided to forego going down there. I’m disappointed we weren’t able to contact anyone about this but I’m glad this didn’t end up in one of my family member’s stomach. Besides this incident, everything here had been decent.

Happy Fast Food

I paid for extra shrimp in my special lo mein dish I received a total of 5 shrimp for the whole order. My mistake, I went off of a 2 year old picture that looked good. I guess I'll update it for you guys. Id leave a better review if the food was cooked a bit more. First time trying this place so I tipped the person in front almost half the price of my order.

I've been coming here for about 8 years! I believe they switched owners a couple years ago. The new owners are great and way more welcoming than the previous ones! The food is pretty good and it isn't too pricey! Try the Jalapeno fried rice! You won't be disappointed! It's some of the best fried rice in all of H-Town and I don't mean that lightly!

HONG KONG BBQ

42reviews

My favorite Chinese BBQ spot but some times you come too late they will be out of rice so they can't sell you the Combo box. The meat are some of the best in town and it is not too salty The price here is still fair for the amount and the quality of the food. The price is still family run and the people here area very nice. It is such a hidden gem in this center.

Fantastic Chinese BBQ spot. They only roast baby pigs so the roast pork (especially the pork belly) is tender and flavorful. Chat siu & roast duck is excellent, and the two-item rice plates are still so affordable, $9.25! Prices are great compared to Sinh Sinh and Wing Kee, and its quality. Go early (before 1pm) for the best selection.

Friendship BBQ

263reviews

Sorry to say that I don't like Friendship BBQ. I ordered a noodle first. Then, the waiter came to tell me they sold out. He recommended me for a stir fried instant noodles. I think it's an insult. I want to experience food at the restaurant. I could make that at home. I ended up ordering the rice noodle soup without spicy sauce. It came out so bland and did not look appetizing. Yukie.

Nice clean BBQ place, the lighting is a little dim for me but is a pretty cozy restaurant. Now the food...bbq skewers taste bland and lacking flavor, however I also ordered A Choy veggies stir fry and it was very fresh crisp and sweet. The jumbo grilled oysters are also fresh and delicious.

Skillman Wok

I ordered thru Uber eats the fried rice and am telling you the food wasn't delicious at all.. the shirmp wasn't cooked, no salt and no taste at alll. Was below my expectations.

Great food. I order at least once a week. Other than trying to charge extra for low mane.Instead of fried rice, this is a great place

China Star

I was a bit hesitant to order from this establishment based on the questioning reviews on overpriced food and not very good quality but I took a leap and I am so glad I did. I had a very busy day at work and just didn't have energy to cook so I ordered for my whole family. I loved their online ordering system! It's very simple to use and you do not need to sign up to order food. I was very surprised at the speed at which my food was prepared and delivered. The delivery man was very friendly and even gave us a complementary lemon tea (our favorite!). Upon inspecting the food it was still very hot (which I love! I hate cold food), everything smelled amazing and it tasted EVEN BETTER!! Everything appeared to have been freshly made and the fried items were nice and crunchy. Everything was just excellent. I am so glad I ignored those bad reviews. Yes, the pricing does seem a little high, but for the portion (amount of food you get) it's absolutely reasonable (see image attached). I ordered the orange chicken with lo mein -- I ate until full, my son ate from the same plate until full and there is still so much food left! I know what I will be having for lunch tomorrow! Will definitely be ordering from this place again. and recommend to anyone who wants to try it. Disregard the shady reviews, this place is fantastic!

Anyone knows what happened? Best lo mien ever!!! People were super sweet

First Chinese BBQ

First time to this location. . Food was great service was fantastic. Best chinese food I've had in all of Texas. Food was authentic and fresh could be hotter temperature wise the beef tendon fried pork and bbq pork is amazing prepared. They only accept cash so just be prepared.

This place is my first choice for authentic Chinese food. You can’t go wrong on anything you order. A good physical sign a place is authentic is a display of cooked duck with the heads still attached on a hook. But remember CASH ONLY!! Original place is in Richardson on Belt Line. I eat in in Plano off Coit. There is a Grand Prairie location too. Happy eating.

Panda Express

Just no! Waited for 35 in the drive through line. Service terrible and the manager looked like she did not give a crap. Don’t waste your money in this location.

Nathan was the best, very helpful and communicated very well. He deserves a raise! I think however the automated drive up speaker that tried to completely take my order but completely got several things wrong. Food was awesome and Nathan is a keeper, thanks :)
