Dumpling World - Clear Lake

We walked into a clean and inviting space. The waiter / host immediately greeted us and sat us down. We were allowed plenty of time to review the menu and decided on 3 items to share. We had the Pan Fried Mini Buns - pork and scallion, braised Pork Stem Buns, and the spicy soup pork and shrimp buns. The food was extremely fresh and amazing! The flavors were melded and so delicious! I highly recommend Dumpling World as a unique experience in the Clear Lake area.

We have a new favorite place! Celia was an excellent hostess. Very knowledgeable about each dish. Everything we ordered, including the drinks, was superb. The prices were great too!

My brother just moved into town, and we were looking for a quick meal that wouldn't kill the budget. Check out the serving sizes of the fried chicken and pork lo mein! It's definitely family style here! The flavors are also on point, which makes this quick visit a great one! Now that he's in the area, we have a great spot to check out for good food!

Decent food. Not the best, but I appreciate the vegetarian options in town with limited options. The flavor was definitely mild. General Tso’s tofu wasn’t spicy as advertised but it tasted pretty good. The fries and egg rolls weren’t anything special.

I have found my 2nd Favorite dish from here, Egg Foo Young. If you are a lover of egg dishes then this is right up your alley. Eggs perfectly cooked enclosing pork and shrimp with a gravy sauce that it perfectly balanced without overpowering the dish. It's a large serving with 3 egg patties but I inhaled then in no time.

Used to order from here a lot but I check with a male worker that worked here they have remove a lot of the good authentic Chinese food options because the western population here that didn’t order the food from the menu that actually as a Asian is very disappointed with the workers decision and recommendation to the owner for cost even with order small portion for the smaller population here is better than taking the whole things off the menu that maybe a deal breaker with me to this restaurant I would have to think twice specifically with the attitude with male worker !!!!!!!!!!!

Really love supporting this business. The food is always top tier. If you want genuine Chinese food this is a good place to do it. They also offer transitional americanized Chinese dishes, and food that is kid friendly. Service can be hit or miss especially when they're busy but it's worth the visit regardless.

Ordered the shrimp kebab it was so good. I scoffed that down in about 20secs. The shrimp was tender, the sauce had a mild sweet taste. The sizzling delicacy was mediocre. The veggies weren't cooked enough, it was like eating fresh cut onions and peppers. I would've preferred it to be more translucent and tender, they had lots of crunch. The squid in it was bland, with a rubbery smooth texture. The fish was flaky and soft but didn't fall apart when you picked it up. The shrimp was tender and was the best part of this dish apart from the sauce. The fried rice had hints of soy sauce taste. There were no complaints from the sweet & sour chicken or general tso. The general tso was great, my husband stated it was the best so far he tasted out here and all he orders is general tso. I would return but order different entree

Pei Wei is my go-to for fresh, flavorful Asian cuisine. The ingredients are always fresh, and the dishes are bold and well-balanced. The service is quick and friendly, and I love how customizable the menu is. Whether you’re craving a classic or a healthier option, Pei Wei never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Very clean and nice restaurant. Fast service, polite workers, and overall good vibe. Workers were very kind, especially Ms Pope and Mr Alex. The Thai donuts are delicious.

Loved this place for years. We miss eating at the bar with Jason as a server. The fried shrimp rice is delicious. Jason introduced us to egg foo young, and it's a favorite. It's not on menu but they will make it.

Wonderful Chinese food with friendly and fast service. Decided to try this place out and I was very impressed. Great flavor, not too many spices and perfect portion size. Ambiance was relaxing and peaceful. "I'll be back."

I did NOT like my meal. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. As you can see from the picture, the portions are very generous but it’s mostly rice and carrots. The chicken does not taste good and has a bad smell. I was so hungry, I ate the rice but it’s dry and bland. How did this place get a review score of 4? I wish I had read the reviews before coming here.

Decided to try this place after the good reviews but sadly I did not get very good food, I order the hunan beef and all I got was cabbage in sauce with a couple of pieces of beef and broccoli. The flavour was barely there and both the beef and broccoli that I did get were super soggy and overcooked.

I was skeptical... I really was. Dim sum restaurant in a hotel? It was only because it was so close to West U that I gave it a try but I am so happy I did! Everything I tried was delicious including some classic renditions of old favorites that I have always loved. They hit it out of the park. I particularly liked the stir fried noodles (beef). The noodles are made fresh in house and it was awesome! I also particularly liked the turnip cake which is something I merely tolerated when getting dim sum at other sites. If you like turnip cake, this might be the best I've ever had. It's a different experience than I was expecting since most places I have been at have slow or cart service with food that has been under warmers. Everything we ordered was made fresh for us and arrived hot. Very traditional and very tasty. Highly recommend if you live in the West U or surrounding region! It's nice to know we don't have to continue to drive to Chinatown for our ~monthly dim sum outing.

It is a hotel, so prices are a bit higher than your average dim sum place. Regardless, the place is delicious and very cute. The food has excellent quality. The day we went, they were down a couple of employees so service was a bit slower, but they were all so gracious and trying their best. Devin was extremely hospitable and gave us some bites to taste free of charge to make up for the hiccups. Overall, I would go back again because I loved it.

My food was served quickly and was pretty good, but I thought the meat was a little over cooked. That's usually not the case here. I'm rarely disappointed with the mostly excellent food. The Win Ton Soup was hot and very good! My friend had their ample egg foo young, half of which she took home with her. She seemed to enjoy it very much. The service was good, but we usually needed to call the waitress when we needed something. However, when we did, she took care of us immediately and is always friendly and polite. The place transitioned during Covid to mostly take out from previously focusing more on in house diners. So they serve everything in disposable dishes, with plastic silverware. However they have always been willing, since opening for indoor seating after Covid, to serve fine in customers. Their lunch specials are a real bargain, and the food is generally quite good. I'm sure I'll be back when I'm next in Pearland.

I’ve been coming here since a friend and I decided to check it out, and the food is consistently good. They offer a lunch deal with the main dish, soup, and an egg roll. While the soup options could be better, I personally enjoy the Wonton soup with a little chili oil added. The lunch options are made to order, so they’re always hot and fresh. A couple of things to note: 1.The bottom five dishes on the lunch menu have a similar taste, but they’re still tasty. 2.They use disposable utensils, which can be a bit annoying, especially when your fork bends trying to eat crispy food. It also leads to quite a bit of waste, which isn’t great for the environment. 3.The service from Lin/Ling is excellent—they’re always checking in to make sure everything is good. Overall, it’s a solid spot, and I’ll continue coming back. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Overall, I will continue to visit this place and suggest you so too if you're close.

This place is very nice and clean! Super welcoming! The service is excellent and the food is incredibly delicious. The spiciness is off the charts – it's so hot that it'll make you sweat and your nose run, but it's totally worth it. (Only if you want it like that, we ordered it super hot and it didn’t fail) I didn't get to try the cheese balls, but they looked absolutely fantastic. Eating here is like finding inner peace – totally cool, calm, and collected. I can't wait to go back!

Great experience and food. I am always looking for hand pulled noodles, and I am glad there is a place in Pearland that accommodates it. I got the regular chili oil noodles, but next time I will remember to get the wide noodles. We ended up getting a lot more food than we planned, but everything looked good. Give them a try!

Surprising good shrimp fried rice cooked by elderly Hispanic man. I assume he n just have worked in a Chinese restaurant. I’ll would definitely order something else next time.

I ordered the 3 meat Mongolian with fried rice, the special lo mein and an order of egg rolls. DELICIOUS!!! About time we get a good Chinese spot back in the area. Great portions at a good price. And the lady who took my order was so nice and welcoming. She's great! Totally recommend!!

I’ve been to the restaurant a few times and it has become one of my frequent places to dine in. The food is great and the service is friendly.

This used to be a delicious Vietnamese Pho place. I'd come here every week and eat their authentic pho. Now there's apparently new owners and there's no pho on the menu. However they'll tell you that they do have pho. It'll be a bland beef broth with noodles that has nothing in common with Vietnamese Pho and they'll charge you $15 for the bowl. If you used to come here for authentic pho - you can forget about this place forever. That place is gone.
