Mr. Teriyaki
This spot is so good! I love the wings, We ordered the Korean wings and they had a very good flavor! Our cashier who took our order was super awesome with good service, I had the chicken teriyaki plate with fried rice and the veggies were great 9/10! Definitely coming back!
It is absolutely CRIMINAL that they can sell such delicious food for such a low price. This might be one of the best meals I've had recently. The food was fresh, delicious, and fast. Give this place a try, I'm definitely going back!
Applebee's Grill + Bar
Steak was burned, mashed potatoes and fries were old and dry. At $22 for the plate it's Def not worth coming here. Asked for napkins and got the janitor brown napkins. Better luck at chilis
My family had a wonderful meal here! The servers were friendly, the food was delicious, everyone was patient with the children, it was a great experience! Carlos was a wonderful server and bartender. He makes an amazing white peach sangria.
Hula Poke
The proteins they have there were very fresh and So were the greens. Also a really nice little assortment of different crunches. Over all around lot of choices across the board.
Best poke bowls so far in San Antonio very close to Poke for the People on Oahu's North Shore which is my benchmark. All the ingredients were fresh and the staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on a few items I was not familiar with. I had the three protien bowl with eel, tuna, and spicy tuna. All the toppings and sauces were wonderful! It was all I could do to finish this. My wife had the two protien bowl and has enough leftover for a snack later.
Umiya Sushi
Umiya was a great experience. For $32 at the time I went, they had so many items to choose from. The food was great and fresh as I was hoping. The service was great as my waitress was always checking on me and making sure my drinks were full and to see if I needed to order more. The place was very nice inside and had very chill vibes. There were a few tvs to watch, and the overall decor was nice. I would definitely recommend this place and I will for sure go back.
Great sushi place for family or date night šš£ Highly recommend for any visitors or sushi lovers. Came in with party of 6 and we had a great time. Big shout to Evan for excellent service and the chef special. If you don't like sushi this place will change your mind. Good price and small portions enough to try many things. All you can eat sushi and others. $31.95 per person but it worthy. Come over and try it yourself. You won't be disappointed. Try hibachi steak, mango tuna, and baked NZ mussels.
Kung Fu Tea, UTSA
Got the Strawberry Fields Macha in a decorative Strawberry Shortcake cup. Total for a large 6.25$ Cashier was blah no personality no welcome smile. Maybe she was having a bad day. Anyways I would go back for the tea not the personali-TEA.
The coffee milk tea with boba was great. I came as a pick up order, said hello, and gave them my name. She just handed the drink to me without a word and went back to chatting with the coworker. As good as the tea itself is, Iād be willing to go out of the way for better customer service
J.B Mon Thai & Asian Cuisine
They were very professional over the phone called when order done and went the extra mile then I drove to pick food up. I was very very impressed with the portion size they did not downgrade because they are in a food truck and working after hours they gave better service than most in San Antonio with a building!!! I will definitely be back and the price was superb!! I am so glad they stepped outside of the norm to give residents of SATX the ability to get food like this so late at night!!! I work late and most place close with healthier options of good savory options and they were open this was a great first time experience!!! Attached is a picture. I forgot to take one before I began eating I pulled a small bowl out and put rice in it and the saves and some of the veggies in it but the portion size is great yāall!! They did not cut any corners on quality or taste and or value kuddos to the owner!!!
I don't usually leave reviews but this was so amazing. I don't eat a lot of Thai food but I love it and this was the best I've had. I had the pad Thai, sesame noodles, and sesame chicken (last 2 are not things I usually get at Asian restaurants but it looked so good!) and they're all so good, especially the pad Thai. Even the plain steamed rice was good. The portions are AMAZING, each dish could feed 1.5-2 people, and at the price of 1 regular dish elsewhere. The owners are so great! I arrived a bit early and at first there was only 1 guy there cooking the food but later another woman showed up. Their English isn't great but they are friendly enough to make up for it. They gave us (2 people) two free bottled waters (which, according to the menu, you should technically pay for) and a free "sample" (a whole big cup) of Thai tea--which, by the way, tasted amazing and was not the tea mix-and-creamer trash I've had at other restaurants. Fair warnings: their "a little bit spicy" is PRETTY spicy, they may struggle to understand you beyond basic ordering (or you may struggle to understand them), and the wait time can be long but that's because there's only 1-2 people working and the food is made fresh. Definitely worth it though
Hoka Hoka Fuku
Food was pretty good, i ended up loving the spring rolls and chicken fried rice the most! The chicken was delicious, clean, and fresh. The teriyaki chicken had a surprisingly sweet taste to it but still decent. The miso soup was pretty good as well! Serving portions are good for the price! Will be coming back!
This is one of the best places to visit for exquisite dishes. My wife and I have visited a few times and each time we try something different. Each and every dish is amazing and their service is unparalleled. We can't wait to go back.
Kogi Korean Grill
Today was our first visit to Koji Grill. The place was empty at 3 pm so we were worried for min. But we, my husband and I, went in anyway. We were greeted & seated by a very nice and welcoming waitress. She also helped us with our food choices. The food came out quick, hot, and it was delicious when it arrived. We tried 3 different food choices, and they all were good. This place is apparently a hidden gem. We will definitely be back now that we know it's there.
Overall, the food was great! I got the Kimchi Fried Rice & Cucumber Kimchi. Both were excellent! I could have eaten so much more Cucumber Kimchi. It was my first time trying it and it was great! The Kimchi Fried Rice was amazing as well! It was hot (temperature) which tells me it was made fresh! I had to let it cool down but once it did, there was not left behind! The atmosphere was quiet maybe I went at a bad time but there was two other customers there and it was very quiet. I went mid-afternoon this past Friday. The service was okay as well. The server/host just seemed like she did not want to be there. She was very quiet, almost timid.
Thai Hut Restaurant
My family and I stopped to take some food to go. The staff was friendly and really nice. The portions of the food are big. Unfortunately the taste is just not there. All the food was really oily and just no flavor. I donāt mi d paying for food that will be good. The price for the food here is just not worth it. I will not be coming back.
Thai Hut is my favorite neighborhood Thai restaurant. I LOVE their red curry, Pad Makur, Pad Woonsen, Pad Thai, spring rollsā¦their oils are delicious too. The service is great, same people working there for years.
SA Seafood
We stopped here while visiting friends and family. The place was very busy and we had four people in our party so it took some time to get our order. The food arrived hot and cooked to order for everyone in our party. The food was very delicious and full of flavor. The staff was very nice and took really good care of us while we waited on our order. Overall, we had a great dinning experience.
Food is always hot and delicious. I usually get the catfish and shrimp with fries which are seasoned as a bonus. I've also switched out the fries for fried rice and wasn't disappointed. You have to try their garlic dipping sauce. It's amazing! The prices and portions are reasonable. The service is also great and the place is clean even on Fridays during Lent. I look forward to trying more of their menu in the future. Side note: If you have leftover fries, take them home and warm them up in the air fryer or oven and enjoy them with another dish or dip them in the garlic sauce.
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
We eat here twice a year. Very tasty food, great service and quite expensive. Itās a great place to eat seafood because you get your moneys worth of delicious food! I would go and dine there a lot more often but the menu items while delicious, are very expensive. Is it worth it? For twice a year yes!
This is one of my familiesās favorite places to go have a nice dinner. We do not go frequently as it is a little pricier than our wallet would normally allow. But itās OK for special occasions price wise and itās not that anything really is overpriced because you get an enormous amount of food on your plate. And everything is cooked perfectly, you couldnāt ask for much better. This last visit we were there for my birthday and my grandsonās birthday. Attaching photo.
The Golden Goose
I stumbled upon this place It being my first time in San Antonio and while being here I experienced amazing customer service and instantly felt welcomed. The owners father welcomed me with open arms and I even got to meet the owner and recipe master as well. The Korean radish soup filled me with warmth like comfort food would and the chicken was phenomenal. They are a family owned business this is their second venture and I ended up staying for hours. The vibes are unmatched the beautiful works of art that completely cover the place gives it so much character I couldn't stop looking. The owner even made some of the pieces themselves. As a native NYer this can easily stand up to the Korean places there. If you ever need Korean food in San Antonio make sure you patronize Golden Goose. āØ
A MUST TRY for anyone wanting Korean food. Stopped in late evening... Place is off of the downtown area...great food recommendations, very friendly atmosphere and the food was amazing! Flavours were incredible.
