First Wok Chinese Restaurant
Best Chinese food in town. Singapore noodle + wonton soup are so good! Thank you for helping my Dad the other day.
My neighborhood Chinese restaurant First Wok, HAINES CITY, disappointed me. I ordered vegetable lo mein. Asked them not to put snow peas, but to substitute water chestnuts. Received food it was cold. The teaspoon of vegetables was on top. Nothing inside. The vegetables consisted of one sliver of carrot one broccoli head cut into strips One water chestnut cut into quarters about four mushrooms cut in half. Ordered shrimp eggrolls normally get three shrimp only receive two. Nonetheless, they do have competition in the area and I will try them out. Please check your order before you leave and make sure you got what you paid for because as we know price has gone up!! You shouldn’t get less for paying more you should get what you usually get for paying more.
Lucky Wok
I had large order of chicken with Chinese vegetables and Egg Foo Young. Everything was very good. I will get Chinese here again. As you can see in the picture, they use white chicken in the dish, which I prefer. The gravy is for the Egg Foo Young.
Was super disappointed… My Mongolian beef looked like it was mop water, my sons vegetable lo mein smelled like old shellfish, and my husbands meal didn’t come with an egg roll.. This dinner made me want my money back…
Panda Express
Like any other cafeteria style restaurant you have to order what's the freshest. And when this place is hopping they can be real busy keeping up replacing the food. The vegetables seem to add a nice touch to the dishes here. Not everything is batter covered and oil fried. The two entree plate with a drink is 13 bucks including tax and you can't really beat that. Letting the customer split the side 50/50 with rice and lo mein is also a good perk. If you splurge and get the three entree plate, you've got five things to eat for a pretty small tab.
Panda Express holds a special place in my heart. The food itself is consistently good . I genuinely enjoy many of their dishes. Yes, the prices can be a little steep, but the flavors often make it worth it. I especially appreciate that they have a variety of options to choose from. However, my recent experiences with customer service have been... disappointing, to say the least. It feels like a coin flip as to whether you'll be greeted with a smile and helpfulness, or an attitude. It's disheartening when a simple request or suggestion is met with curtness or even outright rudeness. I find myself wondering why it's so difficult for employees to be pleasant and accommodating, which is really the baseline of good service. On a positive note, I highly recommend using the Panda Express app if you have it available. They frequently offer fantastic coupons and deals, making the cost more manageable and the overall experience much more enjoyable. The app has become my go-to when ordering Panda Express, especially to avoid potential customer service issues.
Top China
5 Stars – A Hidden Gem with Incredible Food and Outstanding Service From the moment I walked into this Chinese restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant, and the aroma of authentic Chinese spices instantly pulled me in. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece—fresh, flavorful, and clearly crafted with love. The dumplings were perfectly tender, the stir-fried noodles had just the right bite, and the Peking duck was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. You can taste the tradition and care in every bite. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service—especially from Kenny. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure our meal was perfect. From great recommendations to genuine conversation, Kenny added a personal touch that made us feel like honored guests rather than just customers. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves top-tier Chinese cuisine paired with warm, attentive service. Ask for Kenny—you’ll be in great hands.
The food was nothing special/ missing items I never have high expectations for chinese food but the Dumplings just fell apart when you tried to pick them up and the pork fried rice was just dry and bland. We had to go back after getting home from picking up our order due to stuff missing ( Eggroll/ sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken). It was our first and last time, we will just go down 27 (Lake Wales) from now on.
Chinese To Go
Generous portions and very consistent. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The fried rice is one of our favorites! We always get takeout to eat throughout the week.
If you’re looking for quick and tasty Chinese food, Chinese To Go is a great choice. They offer a good variety of classic dishes like fried rice, lo mein, and meat with flavorful sauces, all served in generous portions. The food is fresh, well-seasoned, and strikes a nice balance between quality and price. It’s perfect for a quick meal or takeout.
