Lin's Palace
Tried this location because it was in walking distance from the hotel. It was definitely not my favorite food. The service was very nice and I do believe that was the owner that was super kind and very friendly to me while I was there. Their prices are very reasonable, but let’s get into the food. I started with the crab Rangoon and I didn’t like them. Not only did they lack in flavor, but they also seemed a bit oily. Next, I had fried chicken wings and they were just OK. They were fried too hard and I don’t know how long the chicken had been sitting. I also had a shrimp spring roll and it was mostly vegetables and very little shrimp and again it tasted a little oily. For my main entree I had the happy family, which was supposed to be one of the chef’s specialties and it was really lacking in flavor. I did not like the taste of the meat that was Inside… not the chicken, nor the shrimp or the beef. The best part of the entrée was the vegetables. Overall, I was really disappointed and I would not return.
Lin’s Palace is the place to go for authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Mr. Lin and his family are super sweet and aim to please. I recommend ordering off the Taiwanese menu. Love the Taiwanese sausage fried rice, the shrimp spring rolls (amazing), steamed fish, and ask what veggies are fresh. The fish ball soup is great on a cold day.
Tasty & Go (Chinese Food)
If you're on the lookout for top-notch Chinese food, look no further! This restaurant truly stands out with its exceptional offerings. The Chicken Broccoli is a must-try—tender chicken and perfectly crisp broccoli come together in a savory sauce that's simply irresistible. What’s even better is the generous portion sizes; you’ll be getting big bowls brimming with deliciousness. The flavors are authentic and satisfying, making each meal a delightful experience. The restaurant itself exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. Overall, this spot is a fantastic choice for anyone craving high-quality Chinese cuisine. Don’t miss out on their Chicken Broccoli—you’ll be glad you did!
Definitely better than the previous restaurant if you’re local. This place is currently under a new owner. Fresh decor, delicious food and smooth service. Easy fast come and go grab fresh food on my way home after a long day. Plus+++ It’s right outside the train station. Chicken wings are the best!!!!!!!!!!
Top China
TLDR: we found our new regular Chinese takeout place near our hotel. This place deserves 4.75/5 rating, not 4.2. Not too overpriced. Very impressed. Roomy dining area, tables are very clean, floors are not sticky like the typical Chinese takeout place. Vegetable lo mein - 5/5. Right amount of sauce and veggies blanched right. Beef with garlic sauce - 5/5. Beef cooked perfectly, very tender. Right amount of portion of beef to veggie ratio. Picky kids devoured it. Curry chicken- 4.95/5. Great flavor, very spicy, has a slight bitter aftertaste. Chicken very tender, not overcooked or rubbery. Great chicken to onion ratio, a lot of chicken pieces. General Tso Chicken - 4.5/5. Great flavor but trade off with takeout, it’s going to be soggy since the steam continues to cook the food even though I’m 10 mins away. It was half soggy and half crispy. Huge portion of chicken, not too heavy on breading. One day, like to try a dine in to see how crispy this dish is.
I ordered from here last week and they had my food ready on time for pick up. Friendly staff and if you like hot and sour soup this is the place to go! I had their chicken and broccoli and it was also delicious.
Panda Express
Barely warm food, small portions, greasy noodle. Worst yet are the staff, very are low energy & unpleasant to interact with. You go in the restaurant with a happy face but will surely come out feeling like you’d begged for free food. No wonder the place was empty (saw only 1 other patron) during weekend dinner time. Management ought to take note on training & food quality control to stay competitive.
Really disappointed with the way they skimp on the meat. Bought a medium beef and broccoli to go. Got home and after putting it on a plate there were 4 small pieces of beef and the rest of the pint packed with broccoli for $10.00. Absolutely a rip off!!!!!! and shame on the employee who packed this you know better!
Garden Express
I tried the Honey and teriyaki chicken they were both really good, the Lo mein was kind of bland though, also had the strawberry boba which was good as well. I would like to go again :)
Don’t waste your money. Food was gross and had been sitting. She didn’t give me the correct item. The boba tea was expensive and powdered! She put some kind of super sweet syrup in there so I couldn’t even finish it. Not worth the money, you can get better Asian food at the Walmart deli!
Panda Express
This place was so clean when we dined in. My partner and I were actually the only 2 guests in the lobby. The employees who handled our order were extremely nice and patient. The cashier was happy to check us out. I opted for orange chicken ans fried rice which definitely hit the spot. My partner went for the chicken teriyaki, orange chicken , and noodles which he devoured. Not to mention, the food portions are always GREAT. Also, we both got fruit juices (passion fruit and berry fruit). They were both so good!
This place has been the worst food service location I have ever been to. I waited for an hour along with many other people on simple food orders. Online orders would get pushed and “completed” when they only had their drinks. I watched multiple people being told that it wasn’t the workers fault and they could not control the wait times. The workers were very rude. I would spend my money elsewhere for better quality food.
Golden dragon express Morristown
This is a disappointment. Does not taste anything like Chinese food. It’s like they are trying to copy but failed. Chicken is bland, rice is not fried rice. I do not recommend.
My man said the second I walked in and seen that they were Spanish, that I should have walked out and he was right! Change the name from Golden Dragon to Golden Pollo because this definitely ISNT Chinese food! My General Tso was little chicken nuggets tossed in sauce lol. The cook doesn’t use gloves. He grabbed my shrimp for my shrimp fried rice with his bare hands and tossed it in the damn wok. Used his cell phone, put it back in his pocket and then grabbed my broccoli. lol The shrimp fried rice wasn’t “bad” it just wasn’t Chinese. It literally tastes like Spanish rice. I should have read the other reviews before I came because they all state my experience. The only people who gave it five stars are other Spanish people. lol.
Ming II Restaurant
I am a gujarati and our food is typically sweet, but this food is too sweet for me as well. We go to the Ming in Edison and Morristown often and like the food, but today’s food just did not cut it. Hope this is a one time thing and the next time we are here we enjoy the food. I will give the restaurant a one more try, but if the food is sweet again the next time, I will never go again. Also the baby corn starter was not fried well and not crunchy and just okay.
Everything was cooked to perfection! Service was great, nice atmosphere, and the price was right. $$ We ordered and ate, lobster, shrimp, lotus root, crispy duck, noodles, and ribs, everything was great! Location is in the Hyatt, parking easy, full but not crowded.
