Imperial Garden | Chinese Restaurant
So this is what you get for $20.... it tasted burnt and like a dirty wok. The food was genuinely inedible, and I had to send it back. There are so many better options in the area. Do not waste your time here.
You know the black stuff you scrape off of the oven when you're trying to clean it? That's what my noodles tasted like, the smell of that and I just couldn't do it. But the staff was super friendly and the place looked very clean. The other people seemed to be enjoying what they got but the noodles I got just weren't it unfortunately. The spring rolls were hot fresh a delicious! On the pricier side 20$ for a small plate of noodles btw.
Golden Fortune Chinese Restaurant
it’s okay. i wouldn’t really go here. the selection is okay but out of maybe 30-ish selections, i only liked 1. the noodles taste bland, though the orange chicken is amazing. it’s crispy while it still retains the good flavor. my heart started aching after i was full when i only ate one plate with just little food. the service was really friendly and thats probably one of the only notable pieces of this place.
Our favorite place to eat in Rapid city SD. Friendly. Food is always good and fresh. Best Chinese in Rapid City, SD
Panda Express
I had a much better experience at Panda Express this time compared to my last visit. The service was great—the staff greeted me warmly and were much more attentive. The portion sizes were generous, definitely worth the price. The food quality also seemed improved, fresh and flavorful. The restaurant was noticeably cleaner, making for a more pleasant dining experience. Overall, it felt like they stepped up their game, and I’ll definitely be back!
I don't think they have a working furnace for the building and only use ambient heat from the kitchen. Never stop here during the winter. Every time you dine in your food is cold before you're half done eating. Good food and service is good but you have to leave to enjoy it. 5509 E Arrowhead Pkwy, Sioux Falls, SD location.
Hy-Vee Chinese
Store is consistently clean. I ordered the 2 entree meal (fried rice, crab Rangoon, sesame chicken, and sweet/sour chicken. Usually, they have peas and chopped carrots pieces in their fried rice. It wasn't in there this time. Secondly, not nearly enough sweet and sour (two small packets).
Pretty good for a grocery store and prices are nice
Hy-Vee Chinese
Beef and broccoli only contained one piece of beef. Upcharge for sweet and sour sauce then it's just a packet now, when a cup used to be free. The fortune cookie had a piece of paper with a link that seems fake. I wonder what is done w data input on that site? Note the pictures.. It's a shame, Hy-chi used to be a decent meal for the price.
I love the food, I typically get the egg fried rice with sweet and sour chicken, and a crab Rangoon for my grandma. I go quite often so I know who makes the good stuff. The black-haired guy definitely makes the best rice! Chicken is sometimes a little bit soft when he makes it, but it's still good. Good service. The other black haired guy(with piercings) makes the best chicken, crunchy but not toothbreaking, Soft inside, crispy outside. He also makes great rice, but since I like the heavier seasoning that the first guy typically gives, I don't like it as much. He's also gives good service, very polite. The ginger guy tends to go light on both, plain on the chicken and light with the rice. It's good, yeah, but I prefer the other 2. Good service. I don't know anything about the new girl yet, except for that she put carrots and peas in my rice. I had to pick it out since I don't like veggies in rice. She's pretty polite I'd say, and she's incorporated well into the kitchen. As of October 27th, I'm liking her a bit more There's some new hires, this is my updated review for October 27th I don't really know much about any of them, today I was served by a new hire. He had a really cool necklace, and he gave great service. Very friendly, engaged in small conversation when I initiated it. Gave me a generous amount of chicken, which I'm very much enjoying. Polite and relatable.
Royal Palace Chinese Restaurant
We came in not fully knowing what to expect as the outside seems a little sketchy but our hesitation was quickly removed as we were greeted by very friendly staff. They interior had great decorations which I loved, however there was virtually no sound so it was really quiet and made me feel like I needed to whisper the whole time. Other than recommending a little music, I really liked the place and the sparkling tables. Also heads up, they serve the drinks in cups that day Pepsi but they serve Coke so if you have an issue with that, now you know lol. We ordered off the chef suggestion portion of the menu and got the Happy Family and the Chicken in a nest, which comes in an edible taco salad style bowl. When the Happy Family meal was served, it was poured onto a hot place and served to our table which was a bit showy and fun. I enjoyed it. When we were all finished, we asked for to go boxes and our waitress brought us an extra box of rice! She said you need more rice with leftovers and I agree and she is the best for that! The food was good and the service was nice. They have a good sized menu if you need lots of options and I was pleased.
Slow service, food was good, there want any back ground music though and all I could hear was the people next to me constantly chewing and throat clearing.
Panda Express
This place never has the items offered on their menu. Every time I have been there, they have been out of multiple products. The only reason I come back is because I like the food from Panda Express. Tonight, I went through the drive through because, apparently, their dining room closes at 8. Waited in line behind 8-10 cars, get up to the screen and the guy tells me he's out of a number of items. He said, "Would you like to know what we have available?" Ok, yes, that seems like it would be useful information. It was faster for him to tell me what they have than to tell me what they are out of. It was pathetic. I'm so sick of trying to go here to get what I want and not be able to. The really upsetting part was that I had to wait in the drive through line just to find out they didn't have half their items. It was an hour and a half before closing, the line in front of me was long, the line behind me was long. It's not like people weren't ordering...stock the product that's on your menu...or make it to order! This was post-dinner rush. You can't tell me you were too busy. Keep staff on, make the items, prepare for business. I get it when it happens once in a while but this has happened every time I've been here. That's just poor management of resources. I've been disappointed multiple times here and have given them the benefit of the doubt but enough is enough. Please quit treating your customers like this or they'll leave like I did.
Today (Saturday mid afternoon) ordered the standard order I always do at all pandas express across the country. First of all, the portions are small. Second the shrimp were falling apart and smelled bad, the cheese envelopes also had a bad flavor. Third, after 20 minutes, I needed the restroom. I run into this on the road, but very rarely. This place would not recommend it.
China gourmet
I haven’t been able to find what I call good egg foo young in town. Everyone has their version, and I was looking for one similar to my memory. Found it! Food was good. Portions were huge. The furnishings were dated, and they used plastic silverware and styrofoam plates, but it was clean and the food was good.
I had an orange beef. My food was ready almost immediately, my meat was breaded and fried which I've never seen before, and it came with little beef and garnished with brocollis. The sauce was thick and gross, reaked of cheap mall Chinese. It seemed like something I'd buy at a supermarket frozen section and microwave, it was certainly not fresh ingredients prepared from scratch food, and I left my food on the table and promptly left.
Hy-Vee Chinese
Altogether mediocre "Chinese-style" food. If you get it when it comes out fresh, it is not bad in a pinch. Avoid at all costs if you do not see the food come out fresh. Especially the fried and sauced dishes. They will be soggy, heavy and mushy. The pot stickers and spring rolls are pretty good. That said, the sushi bar offerings are not bad for the money.
I've been to this hychi a year ago. It was bad back then. Thought I'd give it another chance. Bad idea. Looked like the food had been sitting in the containers a while. All the dishes had that "sitting around awhile" film on the top of them. Orange chicken and lo mein were very bland. Threw most of it away. Don't get the chinese from here. Disappointing every time.
