Been going here since I was a kid and it's always been a 10/10 experience. Great food at a reasonsble

My family usually loves this place, but we ordered some food tonight and now we both have food poisoning from the house special mei fun and lo mein.

This place is AMAZING! I drive 30 minutes from my house to order from here. The food is always cooked to order. I normally see two ladies behind the counter and they are always very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend the sesame chicken, beef and broccoli with extra sauce, pork roast Lo mein, pork fried rice, wonton soup, and the egg rolls are out of this world delicious! My kids love the wings! This place is a hidden gem but more and more people are finding it because the food is so good. Thank you No 1 China!

This is a go to place for wings. Wings are always 💯, cooked freshly and the perfect crisp. The visit was for the wings yet I also ordered mei fun noodles shrimp as protein with no msg. The noodles were not cooked enough and it was very little shrimp. I would and do recommend this place for the chicken wings. The best price for wings in the town!

Stopped in to order a couple of their menu items. I had the Pepper Steak & Onion's with house fried rice. I also ordered a 10 piece Lemon Pepper Wings. The Bell Pepper and Onion's was delicious, I asked for the large plate, so if you love Onion's this is definitely for you. The Wings were really good, you could smell the lemon pepper seasoning upon opening the lid. The service and atmosphere was quick and pleasant.

Great little spot. I usually get the general tso and egg rolls. My wife gets the sweet and sour with chicken fried rice. All of our food has been ready in 15 minutes and is very presentable. Also hot and delicious. We are glad to have this place so close to our house. And it's always open!

Food and people here are amazing and very welcoming! Loads of vegetarian options too, I try to hit up this place at least once a week ha! Thanks so much!

This is the saddest excuse for Chinese food ever. The most basic sesame chicken is nothing but breading and a small piece of grey dried up mystery meat. The sauce is obnoxiously red that taste of nothing but ketchup. Don't waste your money. Shameful

We are new to town and was skeptical about trying another Chinese joint. Oh my gosh.. so glad we did. From walking in the door to eating the delicious food, I'm amazed. The woman calls herself Aimee and greeted us and told us about the area. The food came out in the..10 minute.. time. This is now my go to! Told my family that this gives me a reason now to buy a house in this area. Wow!

We order from here all the time and for some reason I've never made a review. The food is always spot on! Very fast but fresh and hot every time. I love the shape of the crab Rangoon, much easier to eat compared to the normal shape and they're sooo yummy! Very generous portions for the cost and the lady who takes the orders is always so sweet too! Would highly recommend this location every time!

Honestly, the photos don’t do this place justice. Decided to take a chance on this place as it was right across the street from our apartment.I had the hen tso and it was pretty perfect, crispy as the description says, with a delicious sauce. Usually it is soggy before it gets to me but I was very pleased. Wife had the garlic shrimp and it is also pretty tasty but not my thing. Service was also friendly and clean inside. I was thanked for my business as I left . Great job guys and thank you for friendly service and a delicious dinner. I will be seeing you again!!!

Love that there is a tofu general Tso! Never saw this before! It was pretty good! I’m sure it would be better if we went, we did take out. Downfall, way overcooked broccoli and only four pieces in it. The rice was super sticky, like sushi rice, too. Not the best. We always get their egg rolls and my husband tried steamed dumplings for the first time. He loved them both! His usual is general Tsos chicken. Overall really happy with the veggie options.

The food is always fresh and delicious. The spring rolls are especially tasty. General Tso’s chicken was crispy with flavorful sauce. The ham fried rice was really amazing. The staff is always warm and friendly. Will definitely keep coming back.

Food was good , need to bring back some of the beef for my doggie BIg Red , becca, but I think she might like the fish better. Recommend for good Chinese buffet or carry out.

Quality & quantity of the food is going downhill. Any time I order something with shrimp, there are only a few pieces in the dish. Last time I ordered the Triple Delight, there were literally 4 pcs of shrimp AND it was over cooked. The chicken was unrecognizable, it honestly looked like fake chicken. I didn’t eat the chicken, but my husband did and he spent the next 2 days in the bathroom.

Everyone was very friendly, but the food was not good. The rice was dry, and the chicken lo mein didn't taste fresh. The greenery in it was so wilted that I couldn't tell what it was, and the chicken was too soft and just tasted off, like a bit sour almost. You could tell it has been sitting a long time. All of it was extremely salty, more so than usual at a Chinese takeout. Only giving it 3 stars because of staff friendliness and how fast it was ready. Otherwise, 2.

The food is awesome!! I eat here twice a week. The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY Food is always HOT AND FRESH! I absolutely love this spot!! Best Chinese food in Columbia! Never had any issues! i came in and ordered a small pork lo main extra spicy and they did not disappoint. the lady and guy upfront were very nice.

I moved to the Lexington/Gilbert area of SC over a year ago from NY. You may not know this, but NY is the home of the absolute best pizza and Chinese food ANYWHERE. That said, since I have been on my new hometown, here in SC, I have been in search of both. I’ll leave the pizza discussion for my review of the best pizza place and I’ll focus here on the BEST CHINESE FOOD in the Lexington/Gilbert/Leesville-Batesburg areas. That place, THE BEST CHINESE FOOD is China 1 at 245 W. Columbia Ave. The food is made fresh as you wait, the food is nuclear hot temperature, so it’s hot when you get home with your take-out. The meats like the pork in the fried rice is perfectly flavored and perfectly trimmed. No fat in mine whatsoever. This is my new go to place for Chinese food and it’s a 15-20 minute drive each way, but so worth it. Great food, great prices and it is a 16 or so year old, family owned business. One of the best parts of my experience there was the owner brought my food out and a lady named “Sunshine” who was working the counter cashed me out. (I’m afraid to attempt to spell her real name, but I think it’s Kiaun, but I’ll stick with “Sunshine”. She is as much a part of the family there as anyone in the kitchen. That’s my words based on my observations and from talking to Sunshine and a long time customer who was there that same time I was. Just her sunny disposition and incredible vibe is a reason to try the place, and you’ll keep coming back for the food and to see Sunshine. She has been working there for almost as long as the restaurant has been open. They have an incredible selection of chicken wing flavors. A pic of the wing menu is in the photos attached. As far as ambiance or atmosphere, the place is a Chinese restaurant, the majority of whose business is take-out. That said, it was clean, it was busy and had tables to sit at in the event you can’t wait to get home to eat the best Chinese food in SC. Sit down, chill out, enjoy your food and chances are you’re gonna see your neighbors come and pick-up and you might even meet a friend who you haven’t met yet. The food was PHENOMENAL!!! The chicken wings were hot, fresh, and delicious. I live 45 minutes away and will DEFINITELY be back. The service was great as well.

I notice as long as you eat in the food is fresh and good!! The last few take out orders my Wings have been old and dry!!! And the food no so fresh!! Do better Sunming with your take out orders!!

Amazing atmosphere, just big enough to fit a good amount of people without it being overwhelming. My server was attentive, my cup never running empty. Good Georgia sweet sweet tea. The sesame chicken was TO DIE for! The chicken wings were juicy and fall off the bone. If you're looking for your typical Americanized Chinese food, this is not the place. Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing. By far my favorite place to eat!

Just posting the new menu info, the other pictures posted are old and out of date. I got the lunch special orange chicken, which was good. She got the sweet and sour chicken but didn't like it, she's a little pickier than I am.

This place is a must try! My husband and I got shrimp lo mein and coconut shrimp combo. The lo mein does not have your typical lo mein taste, but I would argue that it is better! I loved it and so did my little one. My husband’s coconut shrimp was also delicious and the egg roll that comes with the combo was one of the best I’ve had. Five stars easy!
