Our go-to Chinese spot was closed, so we decided to give Betty’s a try on a whim. I’ve driven past this place countless times but never thought to stop by. To my surprise, the food was great! The portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable—just around $50 for three combination plates and two side dishes. I’ll definitely be back!

Without a doubt the best Chinese food in Rhode Island. The portions are generous, the food quality is superior to all others (one example: I can never find the littlest bit of fat on the boneless spareribs) and the most generous pour on the drinks! The scorpion bowl is the best I have ever had and worth every penny! The whole place has a warm and friendly family atmosphere and you feel so welcome from the very first visit. You can tell they go out of their was to make you happy, comfortable and completely satisfied.

I hosted a small post-cemetery memorial service party at the Hong Kong Buffet restaurant on April 25, 2025. The experience was excellent. My group enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and well lighted. Our hostess was very friendly and accommodating. A few members of my group had not eaten at this restaurant before, but commented that they would return in the future.

I have been enjoying this buffet since they first opened. The buffet is always clean and since they are so busy the food is always fresh. The family who owns the restaurant and the servers are always friendly. They have the most adorable Parrot Fish at the front door to greet the guests.

I would say this is the worst Chinese food I have ever had. We ordered crab Rangoon, two orders of chicken fingers, small white rice, and a general tso. The total came to $50. The chicken fingers and the crab Rangoon tasted stale, like they had been left out and just refried for our order. It all look unappetizing and general tso chicken was tough, cut up into very small pieces, and the sauces were disgusting. The small white rice was an absolute joke, the tiniest box i have ever seen. Will never get again and do not recommend. We also called back and asked if we could just have our money back. The man who answered the phone (and previously took our order) was extremely rude and told me the food was fine. I told him it was inedible, stale, chewy, rubbery generals chicken. And he argued with me for 10 mins. I told him I wanted my money back and he said “then bring the food back and I’ll see how much you ate”. Needless to say, they will never get my business again and we’ll be sure to warn others of this “business”

Been my favorite Chinese restaurant since I was a young girl. This place will always be my first choice over any other Chinese food in Rhode Island. And I’m not exaggerating. Nothing compares to their boneless chicken, brown gravy, dynasty wing sauce and my favorite chicken with broccoli combo! For decades, Me and my family would always come every Friday or Saturday night , eat in house, always had the best servers and best service period. There is no other Chinese food like Chyna Dynasty & I hope your open long enough for me to take my kids one day ❤️❤️🙏🏻

We order from here for work. The food is always great. Sometimes it takes a while but I get that they are busy. One time they forgot the sodas and they went back to deliver them which we appreciated.

I called to stated I never received sticky sauce and the lady stated she put it inside the bag clearly not this one

Yang Restaurant🇨🇳 is the best Chinese restaurant you can get in Broad Street. With Broad Street being such a long road with an abundance of restaurants and markets, having this restaurant around is the best. By far their most popular item is the chicharrón and tostones combo. Chicharrón is pork and tostones are mashed fried plantains. I would recommend getting this item!! It’s only $10! If you want to just have one, then get the chicharrón. Another popular item that’s my personal favorite is their chicken wings, these aren’t just your average wings that are the size of a finger, these are actually massive wings that often fit in your entire hand, adult wings! I am unsure of the exact cost per wing, but you can get 6 of them for $11. They’re hot, crispy, and very filling. Of course they also offer several other combos and many other traditional Chinese items. They offer curbside parking and have an entire parking lot at your disposal. They make the food FAST!! Often finishing whatever item you ordered in around 10 minutes since they’re always on the job. They’re open from 11:00AM to 11:00PM and often are opened during holidays. They also speak pretty well Spanish and English. I don’t have any negative comments about this restaurant other than the fact that they only take cash, so be warned this is a CASH ONLY restaurant. No credit/debit cards allowed💳❌. For anyone that isn’t familiar with chicharrón, The way this restaurant makes it is with bone-in. So be careful to put it in your mouth and take a bite without being aware of where the bone is, I would recommend breaking off pieces with your fingers before taking a bite. Just to make sure you don’t bite on any hard bones because they’ll definitely hurt your teeth. Some won’t have a bone, but most will

I love their flavor of food if you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, this is the place the chicken and broccoli beef and broccoli they’re hot and sour soup there half of chicken is there egg rolls everything is real good. This will not be a bad choice worth your money prices are right for the delicious food they serve.

The food Is mediocre @ best, I go here because It’s close to my house ,I will not go here anymore , on 7/27/23 I got takeout half fried chicken and plantain just before closing, when I got home there all dayand they just reheated it , it was so dry even the bone was dry, and another thing I don’t know why they cut it in pieces ,it’s supposed to be half fried chicken The plantain was not fresh either or, so the next day 7/28/23 ,I took it back and the female that was there gave me such an attitude tell me that their food is always fresh ,lol!!!! that’s a lie !!!!she gave me a hard time she asked,” so what do u want ?” I told her I want the same thing ,of course ,she asked me what the problem was and I told her ,again she stated the food is always fresh ,Then when the food was done she opened it and showed me she said how is this I said it’s fine she said oh just fine I said well that’s good, very condisending, they just lost a good customer. I work hard for my money I want Good quality And that’s not what I’ve been getting from here. I provided a picture of my order in large and look closely at the food you can tell it’s not fresh

Our waiter was superb and the environment overall was pleasant. The food, needlessly overly sweetened. Bathrooms clean. There are several beers available. Upon arrival one waiter[?] was arguing with the hostess, so for at least a minute the hostess ignored our party of four directly in front of her to engage in this argument or dispute of some sort. Had my kid not been set on this restaurant, personally I would have just turned around and gone to Fogo de Chão next door.

I ordered a full fried chicken with fries and the service lock the full not enough food to feed 1 person very deceiving. Don't use them again cheap plate for $ 18

This is great but only takeout. But it delicious no msg and fresh vegetables. The fried rice is a little light but very delicious anyways. We love it.

I’ve been coming here for 13 years now. Even though I no longer live in the area I drive to get the food because they have the best crab rangoons in the state! Great fresh food and it’s very clean inside you can see how clean the kitchen is. The owners are always friendly and they are open late.

Worst place to ever eat. They serve cockroaches with their food. Better yet I was served a cook cockroach. I will not never go back and I do not recommend anyone eat there

Their chicken and rice soup is my go to for keeping my sick friends fed and cared for, they enjoy it every time. I wish they had any vegetarian options (I asked and they said they didn't). Prices are good! Really small, only for take out.

Wow! I love homestyle/traditional cantonese + sichuan, but I’ve been searching for a while for a joint that serves american staples. I was blown away by the quality of the 1/2 chicken- simple flavor, crispy. The store was small and clean. Will return.

Best Chinese Food in town! My family and I have tried a bunch of local places around Northern and Central RI. There's some great food out there, but Golden City reigns supreme. The chicken fingers, wings, fried rice, lo mein, and egg rolls are all our go-to's. Golden City is the only place that spices their batter, and spices it perfectly: flavorful, yet not greasy and overdone. Plump, juicy chicken inside and big pieces, too! I have GERD really badly and this is the only place that doesn't give me stomach issues. The family that runs it are the sweetest, most lovely people who decorate their place with their childrens' achievements. You can really feel the passion and mastery in the food. Try it -- you won't be disappointed!

What a crazy night to consider ordering take out. And to return to Golden City in the same night after over ten years! Using the online ordering option worked so well and as I feeding eight people needed food to be on schedule. Golden City was overrun with business and when I arrived the place was packed and the phone was ringing nonstop! All this to say my food was ready on schedule full of flavor and piping hot! I will be back and recommend you too give them a try soon!
