House of Tang
My family has been dining here since 1992, while there’s been a few changes over time (decor, residents in the aquariums, the transition away from buffet service); many great things have stayed- the quality of the food, tried and true favorite recipes are still available and several members of staff remain onboard after all these years. Alongside the dining area, there’s a cozy bar seating area and in the warm months, there’s a small amount of outdoor seating available on the deck. In addition to dine-in, they offer take out as well, the food quality is consistent in both services. The menu is available on their website. Daily drink specials are shared on their Facebook page, complete with photos. As part of the menu, there are combination plate specials for lunch and dinner, as well as special menu section featuring a variety of offerings for varying levels of guests- a fun option to try a variety of things. While reservations aren’t needed, if you were to come in a large group (8 or more guests), I would encourage it to allow staff to prearrange seating if tables need to be placed together. I think the prices are fair for the quality and would generally estimate meals at $10-$20 per person (at the time of this writing).
Went here while waiting for our tire change, the lady in charge was friendly and their dog sat beside us which was fine, coz I love dogs. Their food was good and the service was fast. Would recommend!
China Moon Buffet
Ive been eating here since i was a little girl. I have eaten here a hundred times, maybe even more. The food is amazing, and the staff has always been great. Never have I had ANY issues. However, it's so unaffordable now. The prices have gone up like crazy. They even charge you to get a box to take what u haven't finished home...it used to be a cute and affordable place, but now, for 3 people ti eat and take what they haven't finished home, it cost $93??? Damnnnn. I can understand inflation and the workers needing to provide and earn money, but it's SO popular. Raising prices so high feels almost ridiculous.
My best friend & I come here at least once a week if we can!! This is "our place" when we want to go out to eat!!!! Always amazing food & atmosphere is so relaxing🥰 When something is almost gone or gone all you have to do is say something & within a few moments more is made & put out!! Can't wait to go back again this coming week!!!!
China Fun
Ordered kung pao combo. Delicious food. Portion is so big. Very affordable. Will come back for sure. Wish they had dine-in but takeout perfectly fine.
As someone visiting from Flushing, NY; I’ve got to say that this is one of the best Chinese Takeout restaurants I’ve ever been to. Typically when I visit a mountain town, I don’t expect the food to be even remotely good or priced appropriately. China Fun absolutely nails a home cooked feel to their menu. This place is a must have if you stop by the area.
Jade 88 Chinese Restaurant
Save your time and money this place wasn't good at all. They used to be a buffet now they are takeout only. The lady at the register was rude, she is also the one who answers the phone to take your order. The food was nasty and dry. An as fast as they had it made it isn't fresh.
The food wasn't very good in my opinion. They were super spicy! If you don't like spicy things make sure you know what you are ordering. The staff said 2 words to me. Which were hello and bye. It was take out only when I was there.
Tom Moy Cafe
This is under new ownership and the quality in food is UNBELIEVABLY bad compared to the previous owner. To pay $40 for general tsos chicken that is WAY too salty, lo mein that is nothing like the old Tom moys, and even the egg rolls were SO salty. Probably way too much MSG. But if you’re looking for the same Tom Moy you grew up on, this is NOT it unfortunately. Beyond disappointed. On top of that, they called 5 minutes after I left to let me know they forgot the chicken for the general tsos chicken. To make up for it they gave us a small bag of hard cookies… highly do not recommend.
I’ve been eating here since I was a kid. I loved coming in and going to the buffet and seeing the koi fish pond and overall remembering the quality and experience that I’ll forever cherish when Connie and her husband owned the place. I ordered there last night and I somehow got stuck with a $60 total for a pint of fried rice, two orders of wontons and sesame chicken for two people. I physically don’t know how that is possible given that there is no updated menu ANYWHERE online. I asked for a receipt to hopefully see an itemized bill to perhaps justify the cost but no luck, it’s a simple printout showing the total charge. I also found it hilarious that the screen also prompted for a tip, respectfully I skipped. The fact that they have an 8 year old boy taking phone orders, running the register and taking my payment is not only unprofessional but also highly illegal. It’s bittersweet to say but I’m almost glad the place is empty every time I’ve stopped in for takeout. Prices continue to rise while the experience of what Tom Moy used to be falls. There are also about 5 signs saying no refunds and you’re forced to pay first if you dine in and there is a dine in charge you have to additionally pay shows the difference between a restaurant I’d love to come back to and a joke of a business. Last night is the last experience I’ll have here. The owners now should truly evaluate their business practices and learn from these mistakes and customers that have been loyal for years that continue to be lost. It’s only a matter of time until they close.
Panda Express
Need to really keep up with the coke machines, it gets dirty, messy and no ice. I have bad hearing and I just have to say. One lady gave me a bad attitude just because she kept asking what else I wanted on the entree repeatedly and I wasn't ready. The rush she gave, how she settled the takeout entree was rough and just continued on to the person after me. As a worker on takeout in the front you have to be patient and put on your best face and good attitude. Don't be rushing old folks or people with disabilities you can't see from the outside. I didn't get her name but I hope this goes to all the strong ladies I see working there he's the message and become better than yesterday. Otherwise this has always been the place for me and my kids to come eat lunch and dinner. Hopefully it continues with good employees and a happy atmosphere for everyone.
Very small portions. We paid extra for coconut shrimp and Black Angus steak the portions were unbelievably small. Nothing compared to other stores. Panda expresses. Needless to say. We will not be back...
Legendary Spice
Brand new location I have been to the wahu location twice. Food is excellent. Very authentic flavors. Lots of Sichuan dishes. A bit overwhelming at the number of choices. Has hot pot but did not try. Service is excellent. Ambiance is modern and elegant. Super clean. Woodbury needed a strong Asian restaurant.
Finally, a really good authentic szechuan place in the burbs. Definitely not your run of the mill boring gross Chinese takeout. Food here is amazing. Similar quality to the location in Minneapolis. Decor is really nice inside too.
Leeann Chin
Employees were fantastic. Best food I've had at a LeeAnn chins. Ordered dine in and take out they offered to hold our take out under the warmers till we were leaving which was very helpful. I always get the sesame chicken and it was perfect.
I grab a meal here weekly. Their service is fabulous. If it isn’t out there they are happy to order whatever you need. Reasonable prices. The staff is Helpful and swift. Atmosphere is welcoming and Clean. HIGHLY Recommend!!
Panda Express
Food is usually okay, but today, I ordered a bowl with steamed rice and broccoli beef. What I got was mostly clumpy, old rice and a lot of broccoli, with only a few small bits of beef that have had me running to the toilet every 10 minutes. I don’t know what happened today, but I can assure it won’t happen again
First bite I took was into a RAW piece of orange chicken. Totally unacceptable. So thankful I caught it so quick and so grateful I didn’t touch the shrimp yet. If you’re brave enough to get food from here, triple check every bite you take. Undercooked food can literally end your life. Happens all the time.
Golden Dragon Buffet
Okay so first of all I went in with a friend. I have a very calm and well-mannered guide dog and my friend was on crutches. The restaurant was about half full. They put us all the way in the farthest back corner. What a chore for my friend! Then the server came and told me I should leave my dog at the table because someone might be afraid. I told him it's not my responsibility if someone else is afraid of a well-mannered, well groomed, and well trained service animal. I did choose to leave her at the table because this is my habit. Now the food. The cold food was warm and the supposedly warm food was cold. Food in Arkansas is supposed to be at $135° if it's a hot food. This food was not even mouth temperature in my gas is it was maybe only slightly above room temperature. This is a danger to people! The service was basically non-existent and we were positioned where the staff typically clustered so they could keep an eye on us. I know when I'm being watched. We didn't do anything that should have created a problem but we were certainly treated a second class citizens. Also they're supposed to have sushi and they don't or at least they didn't on that day. if I could give this place negative stars, I would. Please for the sake of your family I would recommend you don't eat here because unless they really fix their food temperature, you might have problems.
I was really blown away by the selection and how they had their buffet set up. All delicious and prices weren’t bad either!
Hunan Manor
finally, after my whole life, I finally went inside this restaurant. And it exceeded expectations. It was affordable. It was fast. It was fresh and I was blessed with a great server named Ike who answered all my questions and help me with everything I needed help with. My daughter and I enjoyed it and we can’t wait till we get to go back again.
The food is Great. The service is good. The owners are so nice. I recommend this restaurant. I only have one complaint. It's not as nice dining in because of the doordash people coming in and out of the restaurant. The dining atmosphere / experience isn't as pleasant as it used to be. I wish they would make doordash go through the drive-thru. They have to go buy all the diners to pick up their food. Not to mention the cold wind blowing through the restaurant as they swing the doors open.
Paper Lantern
The workers are so slow and take take their time they don’t care how long you have to wait it always takes like 30 mins to wait in line when it should be a fast and easy line
Food was overly salty. Kung Pao Chicken was almost too spicy to eat. They charge extra for beef and broccoli even though it doesn't say that on the sign.
