Corner 21 Chinese Cuisine
Shocked. Delighted. Swept off my feet. Better than most of the best (most authentic) Chinese places you’ll find in cities 5 times the size of Springfield. Do yourself a favor: Eat here. Don’t order your standard American fare. Shop their picture-filled menu and go for something real. I can’t believe this place exists. It’s THE hidden culinary gem of Springfield. Skip your visit to the world’s largest fork and visit this place instead.
I was very happy to find this place. I'm quite the foodie and will oftentimes travel long distances out of state, just to satisfy a craving. Traditional Chinese food is something that I've never been able to find in this area and I typically travel to Dallas just to have it. I am a big fan of Sichuan cuisine. The spicy crispy chicken. And the crispy fish have always been a couple of my favorites, and they make them wonderfully here. Thank you very much to the owners for providing such a wonderful restaurant in our small area.
Pine Garden
After ordering in the drive through (only 1-2 people in line, after i got home i saw that one of my entrees was missing and that I live a half hour away. They insisted the policy is to only fix your order by bringing back all of the food and receipt. Check your bags before you leave. This place is a scam. Paid 12.99 for two entrees but only received one. Told them in the phone I would leave a bad review and I Won't be back obviously, but the food tasted good. Not going to waste an hour driving back to a restaurant to return food that will get cold from all of the traveling back and forth to a place that won't believe me or refund me. Too many other Chinese restaurants in town to go to. Also very small portions. If i hadn't ordered crab Rangoon for us we'd still be hungry. New China gives you so much more food. This place needs to shut down! Hopefully they improve but they suck for their policies especially when it's their fault.
Best general chicken in springfield hands down. spicy as it should be. Goodb quality chicken. Beef fried rice is incredible too, lots of beef. Very clean restaurant. Even has an open kitchen so you can see what's going on in the back.
Canton Inn
This place is simply awesome. Prices are unbeatable and it’s the best cashew chicken I have had in the Springfield area. Such a great little Chinese spot for an unbeatable price.
WONDERFUL! One of the BEST Chinese around with pretty good prices! Crab Rangoons CANT BE BEAT! Good options for eating, got the General Chicken and rice WORTH IT! Restaurant was ok but food was amazing!
The Wok on Scenic
The food here is quite good, and the place has a nice atmosphere. I really liked that they have games at the table—it makes the dining experience more fun. We ordered the half-and-half combo (cashew and hot & spicy) and the orange chicken combo. Both were above average in flavor. The standout, though, was definitely the spring rolls—crispy, flavorful, and highly recommended. Overall, a solid spot worth checking out!
Met my girlfriends here for our monthly night out. To say this place is busy - is an understatement! There is a constant flow of to go orders! After trying their food - I can see why!! I had the snow pea stir fry with beef and wow was it good! Perfectly balanced sauce. Not too sweet and not drenched all over the meat and veggies. Staff was friendly and brought our orders out to the table.
Amazin Buffet
Please, please bring this to St Louis. All the Asian restaurants up here taste like everything was cooked in the same skillet. So much favor and variety. Even my picky eater left happy. Highlight of our day. Update: Still amazing and taste great.
It started off fine, some of the food was cold but I didn’t mind it. Then it became a nightmare. The scallops weren’t scallops at all, it was chopped up crab and cream cheese, the shrimp literally mushed in my fingers like mashed potatoes, and I found a blue piece of plastic in my food. After that, I was done. The bill was $55, I gave them $60 in cash and left very disappointed.
Hong Kong Garden
This was all our first time at this restaurant. I wasn't expecting anything special, but in the end, we were all blown away by the quality of the food. To start off, they have a typical Chinese food menu, but every dish tasted premium. Low to no oil, well-cooked vegetables, crispy chicken, perfectly cooked shrimp, and probably some of the best lo mein I've ever had. Soups were all good and the crunchy noodles were the wide, bubbly, oily type that I like. In the end, we kept picking at the leftovers, and more importantly, we didn't feel any stomach issues or ickiness. Great spot.
I had a deeply concerning experience at this restaurant. While waiting for my order, I observed one of the cooks in the kitchen pick their nose twice. To my shock, the cook made direct eye contact with me while doing so and then proceeded to cook without washing their hands. I immediately informed the owner, who apologized and offered to remake my meal. SUCH UNHYGIENIC practices to witness. I declined their offer. Food safety is non-negotiable, and what I observed was unacceptable. Unfortunately, I do not see this disgusting behavior changing. The man had no shame and care in the world to taint another human beings meal.
Happy China
The general chicken was mystery meat at best, it tasted of gristle and did not fair well in the long run, very convenient right by the gas station so you can go get some tums after this food tears up your stomach. Crab Rangoon was undercooked but it munched. Overall wouldn’t have to be back
I have appreciated this restaurant for several years. Yesterday we ordered Mothers Day take-out and noticed how badly they skimped on meat. I ordered beef with scallions and nearly the entire dish was onions. I also ordered extra meat on the chicken lo mein and received a normal of about of meat although I paid for extra meat. I will give this place one more chance and if it happens again I am gone for good. Very disappointed.
China King
Best Chinese food I’ve had in a while. The crab Rangoon’s are not too sweet. The orange chicken taste authentic the Vegetable fried rice has a stirfry flavor that you don’t get anywhere else. And best, hot and sour soup. I worked at Chinese chef and Lucy’s for A while long ago, so I know my Chinese food.
Food was very disappointing. I got coconut chicken & wonton soup. Not very palatable. Couldn’t even finish my soup and wonton soup is usually my favorite to get at a Chinese restaurant. If I was starving, I’d eat here again. Otherwise, I won’t give it another try. Greasy food. Stale fried strips to go in the soup. I almost spit it out. Didn’t each much of the chicken and coconut sauce. Tasted like it was mayonnaise mixed with coconut milk. Yuk. Felt awful after eating here. Lesson learned.
Chinese Chef
Fantastic restaurant with large portion sizes and excellent Springfield Cashew Chicken! Service was fast and friendly. I really enjoyed the soup bar. Will eat here again.
This was awesome! I got the orange chicken & it was awesome! I chose to dine in & that comes with unlimited soup! The food was fresh & delicious! The staff was great! I can't recommend eating here enough! A+
Cashew Station Drive Thru
I will say this is always one of my fav chinese places. Their crab Rangoon is so soft and flakey, sweet and just well done. They have good fried rice but we tend to get the sweet and sour entrée and it is always so good!
The amount of reviews and almost 5 stars made me ignore the bad reviews. Don't make my mistake. For 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and an app it was $41. The food was really bland it didn't taste bad it just didn't have a taste. This is what I would expect from someone who has never made the food before not a place who sells it daily. We are not from the area we were just hoping to find a good Chinese place as we passed through and this wasn't it. IF you don't believe me or the other reviews do yourself a favor and get a soda that was actually pretty good.
Yum Yum Bowl
Stopped in one day for a late lunch with my husband and everything about the experience was top notch. The building has plenty of room and is clean and welcoming with very pretty and fun decor. The staff is super helpful, friendly and inviting and willing to answer questions and make suggestions. I had spring rolls and a medium Hawaiian tofu and my husband had gyoza and a medium hot and spicy chicken, we each chose steamed rice. The portions were fantastic and we were glad we ordered smalls as it was more than enough food for each of us especially with appetizers. We shared a soda as I don't drink much more than water and it was great too, perfectly balanced and refreshing. We were very impressed and loved our food and we'd highly recommend them. My husband follows a regular diet and I'm a vegetarian and there are so many options for both. If you're a vegetarian in this area you know it can be hard to find more than a dish or two at any given place but here you'll have several great options. We're looking forward to trying new dishes very soon. This is how a business and restaurant should be run and you won't be let down going there! We have come back again and again!
Really great food, really quick to the table and very clean restaurant. My only complaint is the price is a bit high for a single plate of food, great food but still. Jimmy John's might be freaky fast but yum yum is faster. The drive through is a nice option. Stop in and give them a try.

The issue is with what I thought I was ordering versus what I was given. The Kung Pao Beef pictured here on Google Maps is nothing like what you will receive. I was told that I was given "Spicy Beef" so maybe they messed up and did not give me the right thing. However, I called them on it, and they politely said that this is their Kung Pao Beef. Compare the two photos for yourself and ask yourself which one you would prefer. Otherwise, I do appreciate what this restaurant is serving from a flavor and quality perspective. I like the Crab Rangoon. Their specialty Bourbon Chicken was very tender and perfect. Believe me, the food is tasty. However, I even tried the beef, but very uninspiring and boring, even possibly chewy. Tastes boiled rather than stir fried. This is poor execution, and the whole recipe is just terrible. I just want to note that I am very glad this restaurant does NOT serve chicken nuggets with sauce on them that I have seen. Why does Springfield have this "feature" in all Chinese cuisine restaurants?
I love this place! The one at the mall and this location! I kinda prefer this location better because it’s a lot more peaceful than the mall! The bourbon chicken combo is what I always get, with the fried rice and egg roll! It is amazing every single time! The employees are always kind! I love everything about this place! And it’s very inexpensive for the quality and quantity they put on your plate! They always fill my plate up and for less than 10$!
