Sushi John
very delicious, especially for the price :) i got a filling meal for less than $13. remember to bring cash to avoid the credit card surcharge!
We came here to order takeout. It's a little farther than our usual home territory but I honestly wish it was closer because the food was delicious! I had salmon sushi and it was so soft and tender. The sesame chicken sauce was so good and the chicken was good quality and the breading was thin and tasty. We didn't stay in to eat but the place looked nice. My only meh was the ginger dressing, which I usually live for but their's wasn't for me. That's just my personal preference though.
Sahara Restaurant
I recently dined at Sahara, and while the food was amazing, the experience could have been better. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the hummus was really tasty. The traditional combo platter with chicken kabab and lamb shish kabab was full of flavor and really satisfying. The Orzo soup was light and comforting, a perfect start. And the kunafa for dessert was juicy and delicious – a great way to finish the meal. However, the wait after ordering was longer than expected, which was a bit frustrating. The ambiance was also just okay – not bad, but nothing special or overly comfortable. the food made up for the wait and average atmosphere, and I would still recommend it for the great dishes.
I always enjoy myself when I visit Sahara, even if it’s just to stop in and grab my order. This time I sat down and ate instead of taking it out. They didn’t disappoint. The food was fantastic and the service was as if I was at a family member’s home. The flavors are done so well. The portion is more than enough. I had to take some home. You have to visit the brothers that operate this spot. You will not be dissatisfied nor disappointed. Be sure to get a piece of Baclava for desert. Pistachios my go to. Get there today guys. 🙏🏽
Ricky's Thai
Our first time coming as a family to Ricky’s Thai and everyone was impressed with the food! We ordered the food and it came out fairly quick. The staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing dishes. We were a family of 10 and everyone loved it ! If you’re in the area this is a must try! It was Lunch time specials but we ordered from The regular menu as we were a large group sharing all the dishes.
Ricky’s Thai in Skillman continues to impress, even with their lunch menu. Known for their flavorful dinner dishes, their lunch offerings maintain the same high quality. The portions are generous, the flavors authentic, and the variety is satisfying. Whether you're craving a classic Thai curry or a stir-fry, the lunch menu offers great value without compromising on taste. Definitely worth a visit for a quick, delicious Thai meal!
Pak Lee
Food lousy cold and dried with a fowl taste . Chicken fingers cold over cooked . Egg roll was so over cooked couldn’t break in half and the inside looked like who knows what . Stay away from this place
Can't eat in..take out only .. teriyaki is old. Crab ragoons are very sour. Food ain't so good like it use to when they first opened
Mei Lee Garden Restaurant
Best Chinese food I have had in a very long time! Amazing, fresh, food and portions are good size!! My new favorite spot! The staff was friendly and professional. I got take out but, can't wait to dine in. ❤️
Most of the food was amazing, I loved the egg rolls. But the beef teriyaki on the stick didn't have the normal Teriyaki sauce on it, It was just beef. And the dining room was relaxing and had some nice art, but they weren't playing Chinese music, so it didn't quite fit. There was also a guy at the table behind us mouthing off at the waitress and asked "What flavor of pork fried rice do you have?" Which is a pointless question clearly trying to irritate the staff. So please if you do come here do not be like him, its really disrespectful towards staff, and you are just trying to make everyone elses day worse. Overall I loved the restaurant but its not too popular due to the outside decor. I definitely recommend it tho, and plentyyyy of leftovers. 4☆!
Windber Wok
Chicken and broccoli, first time trying it and OMG it is very scrumptious. Egg rolls standard fare. Fried dumplings...pretty tasty. Overall very satisfied with this visit.
Good value. Good Food. Have never had a bad meal or experience. They would get 5 stars if they delivered their food. Have to pick it up.
Number One
Hi FAMILY! I've been here many times. The food is good!!! No strange tastes. The services is fast and friendly. I was walking with a cane and the young lady offered help to the car. I appreciated the consideration. CASH ONLY!!! If I'm not mistaken.... Please call and ask to be sure folks!!! I'm going that way today as a matter of fact! If I've got some extra dough.... (Pun intended!!! 😆) I'm stopping by again. Have a safe and sound day, week, month and year FAMILY!! Much LOVE!!! 😇🙏👣💙😍💝💋
Had food from here for years, fast delivery, cooking, and the food is always good. My personal favorites are lo mein and beef and broccoli combos. Would recommend takeout/delivery compared to dining in.
Spice Spirit 麻辣诱惑
First and last time ordering here. I ordered half a chicken with pork fried rice and what I received was two pieces of chicken, the breast was missing. I called the restaurant to speak to the manager, her response was that she spoke to the cook and he claimed he put half a chicken. Two pieces of chicken do not equate to half a chicken, no matter how you cut it. Poor quality food at expensive prices.
Food was good it has great flavor, fresh vegtables and peppers .best general tso i had in the north plainfield area and plainfield area. Only bad thing was they offer delivery but have a 3rd party deliver, food arrived not hot waited 43 mins
Hunan
Place is always consistent and reliable. Solid Chinese food and great value.
Yes it’s a hole in the wall AND the ONLY place in a 30-mile radius where you can feed the entire family for under $20. Quantity is large and the taste not repulsive at all. Quality is consistent and we never had diarrhea. We’ve dined in too and it was clean enough. To those who want service, atmosphere and food allergy accommodations, you really need to double your budget and eat somewhere else. We like their chicken wings, boneless ribs, hot and sour soup, chow Mai fun and chicken teriyaki. I give 5-star to counter act the 1-stars. Realistically I would rate the food a 3.5/5 and value 5/5
Jade Garden Chinese restaurant
Service was excellent and staff very friendly. The food bland and everything has the Chinese 5 spicy flavor. I'm not a fan of that spice. The wontons were thick and the meat had the dominant 5 spice flavor. The wontons if you look at the pic, were dried on one side as if it were in the fridge. The pork fried rice tasted like the fridge and was not that hot. The white rice had soggy parts like it sat in water making the rice mushy and it tastes like it sat in reused water. The egg roll again that 5 spice. The sesame chicken was a bit dry, some were crunchy and some were not. The sesame sauce again had that 5 spice flavor and I'm not sure but the sauce didn't taste homemade. I did not finish the meal in fear I would get sick but I didn't. All this keep in mind, I went on a weekday at an odd time. I'm sure it was an off day and I will come back. I can't say enough about how nice they were and I'm very sorry the food didn't reflect it. $37.00.
We love this place. The food is delicious and they always give you a good portion. Love the ribs, which are large and juicy.
New Ling Ling Asian Cuisine Riverwalk
This is a better quality Chinese restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. The menu is typical. We've eaten there several times with friends and family, and everyone seemed happy with their meal. The restaurant is conveniently located just off I-78 in Basking Ridge in a small strip mall. There is plenty of free parking.
General tso's: slammin' Pork bun: dough was a lil dry Coconut shrimp: was ok but def not what I expected Very polite crew Place could go through an update or a little clean up
Kam Luang Restaurant
The one lady (I’m assuming the owner) was super rude & slammed my receipt on the counter because I was a few cents short. She also slammed my food on the counter when I walked back in. The dumplings were given to me in a round container that had a hole on the cap. Dumplings were not all that. China Chef on Easton Ave by Planet Fitness is so much better and customer service is way more friendly! It’s also a few dollars more expensive than China Chef.
I was uncomfortable there. I needed clarity as to why the price of my order was so high because the price on the menu online and in the store was different. So I was a little confused at first but then the lady who took my order explained it to me and I realized that the prices were different on the actual menu compared to my receipt. There was no argument. There was no loud talking or anything like that. However, a man came up to the front from the back and just stood there in front of me. I don't know why he felt the need to do that, but it felt very aggressive and like an attempt to intimidate.
