The Mango Tree Indian Cuisine
Went to Mango Tree for lunch with friends! All-in-all a superb experience! Good service with yummy food! We had ordered the Gongura chicken Biryani, karam podi chicken sukka, andhra chicken curry and the coconut payasam.
We had an absolutely delightful dining experience at The Mango Tree Indian Cuisine! The food was flavorful, authentic, and prepared with great attention to detail. Here’s what we tried: • Mutton (Baby Goat) Sukka: The baby goat meat was perfectly marinated, roasted, and seared with aromatic spices. The flavors were bold, and the texture was tender—a must-try for goat lovers. • Salmon Tikka: Exceptional! The salmon was cooked to perfection, with a smoky char and a well-balanced spice blend that made it stand out. • Mysore Rasam: A comforting, tangy, and spicy soup that warmed us up beautifully. It’s a perfect start to the meal. • Eggplant Curry: A rich and flavorful dish that highlighted the eggplant’s texture and absorbed the spices perfectly. • Karampodi Chicken: This dish was a pleasant surprise! The crispy, spicy chicken was seasoned with traditional Andhra-style spices and had just the right kick. • Chennai Special Filter Kopi: We ended our meal with this classic South Indian coffee. It was aromatic, strong, and had the perfect frothy finish—a true treat! The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance added to the overall experience. This is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in the Belle Mead, NJ area. Highly recommended!
House of Biryanis and Kebabs
We went to this place to enjoy the authentic Biriyani. We ordered the mutton dum Biriyani and it was quite good taste. The choice was mild for masala. We enjoyed that with a side of Goat sukha and laccha paratha. The paratha was quite crisp and Goat sukha is also quite soft and tasty. Although the Tandoor was broken so couldn’t enjoy the naans. Overall the location is quite inside a housing complex not far from the Main Street. Compared to Biriyani city a little offbeat location.
I tried House of Biryani and Kabob in Hillsborough NJ, the newest biryani spot in town, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! The food is incredibly flavorful, offering a delightful burst of spices and aromas with every bite. One standout recommendation from the staff was the chicken dish with green chilies. I have never tasted such a delicious chicken dish in my life! The heat from the chilies was perfectly balanced with the rich, savory flavors of the chicken, creating a truly unforgettable culinary experience. Another highlight is the generous portion sizes. This is a must-visit for any biryani lover or anyone looking to indulge in some amazing, hearty Indian cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Norkys Peruvian Restaurant
We visited Norky’s Peruvian Restaurant for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. The space was welcoming and spacious. The waitress (did not catch her name) was cheerful and well informed about the menu offering options. We all had different dishes and everyone agreed they were all 5-star dishes. Starting with the causitas which were crab & chicken-yum! Really creamy and delicious. The Bistek A Lo Pobre (Poor Man’s Steak) had nothing pobre (poor). It was huge and simply to die for-so juicy and tender; rolled up into a wheel with a toothpick-BRILLIANT and decorated with edible flowers. The Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos, as shown in the image with the lobster and chopsticks was excellent and finally…tarararan…THE PESCADO A LO MACHO was served on an enormous tray and all you can see was seafood in a tasty sauce. The white rice was on the side, also very good portion. If you love seafood, (or not) Norky’s is the place for you. I know I’m planning on returning next week.
From the moment I walked in, the ambiance at Norky’s was absolutely amazing. The dim lighting and elegant decor made it feel like the perfect spot for a romantic date or even a casual dinner outing. Right away, they served a complimentary cancha—toasted corn kernels—with two different sauces. Both sauces were incredible and set the tone for a fantastic meal. The food came out quickly, and I started with the Causa Poseidon. Let me just say, it was phenomenal! Imagine layers of potato salad and tuna salad topped with crunchy seafood and crowned with an octopus leg—it was a flavor explosion. The sauces drizzled on top elevated the dish to the next level. Next, I ordered a whole chicken with a side salad and French fries. Every bite was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I’d happily order it again! What really stood out, though, was the service. Evelyn and Amnuer went above and beyond to make the experience special. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about our experience. We never had to ask for anything—they were on top of it, clearing plates, checking on us, and even asking for feedback. Their recommendation of the Causa Poseidon was spot on! This restaurant is a hidden gem. If you don’t know, now you know—get to Norky’s as soon as you can! Highly recommended!
Thai Chili House
I love this place. Been there a hundred times. Dine in or take out they never disappoint. Loved their food. Do try Drunken noodles , basil fried rice and curry noodles soup which is an all time hit with my family. All their dishes are customizable for vegetarians. Food is delicious and can be made as hot as you want on a scale of 5. Highly recommended!
The people on here who actually write that this restaurant is delicious are actually clinically insane. I’ve been to many many Thai restaurants in my life, and I have never experienced Such disgusting quality of food served to me. I got noodles with beef and my husband got rice with beef, both of which had a really horrible weird taste, and the beef was a grey color with very weird textures. The pan fried dumplings that we got as an appetizer tasted like they were fried in cigarette smoke. I’m sorry but this restaurant is not good what so ever. People need to drive 10-15 mins out of town to Thai kitchen in bridgewater and taste great real Thai food.
Lee's Sushi
The best sushi around. I have been coming here for over 10 years and will continue to come whenever I want sushi! The owners are extremely nice. Service is great. Truly the only place I want to Go for sushi. Thank you Lee’s and Jay for the great food!
The most fresh sushi you can find in New Jersey in the hillsbrough and belle meade area and Manville area always fresh mouth watering on every bite it’s make you want to order more and more because it’s so good but you got to have mindset your eyes bigger then tummy to have the right amount but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Ricky's Thai Hillsborough
Our experience at this restaurant was very good this time. I didn’t have a very good experience in the past especially with the food at Hillsborough location but since they have been a local restaurant for a very long time, we decided to give it another chance & we weren’t disappointed this time. Food was delicious. I loved their Pad Thai this time. Penang curry, spring rolls, fried tofu- everything was delicious & tasted fresh.
Was craving Thai for lunch today, never been to this location but I am working in the area. I ordered a Thai salad and Jurd Woon-Sen, the salad was so bland and was over priced and the soup was also bland and came with a small amount of veggies and 1 piece of chicken. I will not be coming back to this restaurant and do not recommend to anyone.
Nalan Indian Cuisine - Rt27
My family and I recently went to Nalan for a birthday dinner, and it was a pleasant experience! For appetizers, we ordered the 555 Gobi and Gobi 65 for for different levels of spice, as well as the Guntur Paneer. The guntur spice is next level 🤌🏽 Mouth was burning but I loved it. Next, we got the samosa chaat. There was a bit of something to it, like something was off, but it still tasted very good! Lastly, we did orders of vegetable biryani and egg biryani. The vegetable biryani had paneer bits in it and the spices in it and the salan really put everything together. The only reason the service isn’t rated highly is because the egg biryani we ordered initially had chicken in it… but once we informed the staff, they got us a new one. Besides that, they didn’t provide any serving spoons for any of the apps or entrees, but were given them upon requesting them. That does still give them points in my book!
Start with one liner "avg indian food" Selected this to try this. Got the Biryani, chicken 65, mirch pakoda. Chicken 5l65 was tasting like if cooked only in vinegar, it was so horrible. Other chicken starter was ok, no complaints. Mutton, chicken and veg Biryani was ok.
Sushi Palace
Came here an hour before closing because we were craving sushi last minute. Good menu and reasonably priced, great place to go for all you can eat sushi. Their seaweed salad is the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!
Finally, I am making a review for this location. My one and only experience here was horrible, in terms of the experience, not the food. The Food wasn't too bad, appetizers were good, and the sushi wasn't that bad either. However, this is where it went downhill. My toddler wasn't feeling well after eating something, so as he threw it up, my wife caught it in her napkin. Our server, who never greeted us, never smiled, never checked up on us, never told us to enjoy our meals, nothing that resembled service, all of a sudden comes to our table, points at the napkin, and accuses us of hiding sushi rice, by making a scene, saying "You can't throw rice away, there is a penalty" After worrying about our toddler, that soon turned to anger as we were insulted by the false accusation. My wife got extremely upset and told her what happened and then blank faced, she responds, "OK, her threw up? Oh ok." And just walks away. No apology. No asking if my toddler was feeling OK. Just walked away. We were so upset and didn't want to continue our meal so we asked for the check, but here's the kicker. She said she can't give us the check until we finished all our food. We were incensed. I asked to speak to the manager and she said there is no manager. Then she says, "I'm sorry, it's my fault, ok" but the tone she used when saying those words were very ingenuity. Not wanting to deal with her any longer. I inhaled our giant platter and asked for the check. She brings the check and then proceeds to ask us "Do you want dessert?" I legit thought I was in a Hidden Camera show, or an episode of "What Would You Do?" I don't care if staff has changed, and improved, because although the restaurant was contacted after this incident, I never got a response. Unbelievable.
Aroma Royal Thai Cuisine
First time visit. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but it fell short of expectations. The menu sounded promising, but the portion sizes were small, and the prices were on the higher side. Service was good. We ordered pad Thai and vegetable fried rice. PadThai was slightly undercook. Fried rice was good. Also, there were flies all over the place.
If you are looking for good taste in food but no fancy dining, go for it. Good service, it’s likely a homely feel unlike those chain restaurants where I usually don’t like the service. I’d definitely visit again for good Thai food near my house
Masala Art
I ordered a lamb biryani it tasted sweet. If you are looking for authentic Indian restaurant, it is not the place for you.
The lamb chops is off menu but one of the best best lamb chops I have had! Very flavorful and cost $30. Other menu items are great! I have not tried the buffet but I am sure it is great.
Mei Lee Garden Restaurant
Best Chinese food I have had in a very long time! Amazing, fresh, food and portions are good size!! My new favorite spot! The staff was friendly and professional. I got take out but, can't wait to dine in. ❤️
Most of the food was amazing, I loved the egg rolls. But the beef teriyaki on the stick didn't have the normal Teriyaki sauce on it, It was just beef. And the dining room was relaxing and had some nice art, but they weren't playing Chinese music, so it didn't quite fit. There was also a guy at the table behind us mouthing off at the waitress and asked "What flavor of pork fried rice do you have?" Which is a pointless question clearly trying to irritate the staff. So please if you do come here do not be like him, its really disrespectful towards staff, and you are just trying to make everyone elses day worse. Overall I loved the restaurant but its not too popular due to the outside decor. I definitely recommend it tho, and plentyyyy of leftovers. 4☆!
Aikou
The greasiest scallions pancakes ever! Had to throw away for fear of a heart attack. The “crispy” general tao shrimps were soggy. The middle part of it was cold.and the batter was thick and soggy. I was craving Chinese food -still craving because this did not hit the spot!
Went here for dinner with my significant other since we wanted to try something new. The restaurant looks nice and is tucked away at the plaza’s corner. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet while we enjoyed our dinner. We ordered miso soup and sushi pizza for starters. Then, the sashimi dinner and different sushi rolls. We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was since this was our first time here. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we chose and even had dessert. Service was good, but it kind of took some time for the food to come out. It is a bit pricey for the amount of food you get, it might be better to stop by during the lunch hours. Overall, great experience and we’ll be stopping by again.
