So happy we came here. Recommend the egg tarts, which might be the best I’ve had in the U.S., the braised beef noodle soup, and brown sugar milk with mango boba (had to swap as they were out of the boba it normally comes with). Portion sizes are great for the price. Friendly and attentive service. Will definitely be back.

📍𝕎𝕖𝕚 𝕃𝕒𝕚 𝔻𝕚𝕞 𝕊𝕦𝕞 🥟🥢 The taste of the dim sum was average—nothing that really stood out. We also ordered some noodles that, unfortunately, we didn't like; they had a strong peanut butter mix with oily flavor . I wouldn't recommend that dish. but what truly impressed me was the service. I know they were busy, but the staff took their time to go through the menu with us and offered thoughtful recommendations. 👍 They were friendly and attentive, which made our visit more enjoyable. ✨️🥟🥢

Low Mein LOADED wit SHRIMP!! For Owner to give this many GOTTA PULL EM OUTTA the Monongalia River!! Another post Raved bout the Lo Main. SPOT ON MAINE!! Thinner noodle w meaty taster!!

Called near close and got hot and fresh togo food that was delicious. My meal was excellent, and the woman who cooked and served it up was efficient and friendly. Only gave atmosphere a 3 because it's a mainly take out spot as there's only like 4 tables in the tiny "dining room" that's more suited for a quick lunch while you're at the laundromat or something along those lines.

We had an absolutely incredible experience! The staff is some of the nicest and friendliest people ever. They really go out of their way to provide hospitality and great atmosphere! My family and I stopped in for a quick dinner! They were so patient with my kids! We got 2 orders of chicken and broccoli to split and I got a brown sugar bubble tea! Both were completely finished! Definitely will be going back to try a lot of their appetizers! Because they looked so good!!

It is wild that in this unassuming strip mall off of McKnight Road sits a James Beard-nominated Sichuan restaurant. Chengdu Gourmet has multiple menus of offerings, which range from authentic Sichuan to dim sum to homemade noodles to a more American take on Chinese. We both ordered from the authentic menu, and the pork belly dish and my green beans and eggplant vegetarian dish couldn’t have been better. The cucumber salad appetizer we ordered was so fresh and the sauce was delightful. We had wonderful milk and fruit teas (so much real fruit in my tea), and I took a sweet-and-sour chicken from the American Chinese menu to go that lasted the recipient for three meals. Everything is prepared with such care and served really beautifully. They were very focused on making sure every diner had the best possible experience; there was so clearly a great deal of pride in the restaurant and its food. One small thing that isn’t my favorite but may entice other diners, there are live lobster tanks at the back of the restaurant from which I believe you can order fresh lobster. I’m told the chef here is well known in the Sichuan culinary community. I am from the South Hills, opposite the North Hills location of this restaurant, and will happily cross rivers/bridges to visit here again. This place is legit!

We picked up an entree to share and were definitely satisfied. It's pricier than what I normally go for but the portion justifies it; one person could probably get two or three meals out of it. And a hearty amount of sauce meant I had some leftovers to cook with later in the week. My main quibble is that the sesame chicken's breading did not stand up to that much sauce on the ride home, so it wasn't contributing much to the taste or texture.

I regret to leave a 3 star review, the service was awesome. So kind and helpful and on top of everything. The atmosphere is rather dated but okay. My husband and I cook, a lot, we love to cook all types of food from around the world. The food here was very mediocre and extremely over priced for the quality. The sushi was good and I would go back just for sushi. The Mongolian beef was lackluster and the meat was gelatinous. It should have spices, flavors and crispness. It should excite your taste buds. The other meal was on the Taiwanese menu, shrimp and tofu pot with glass noodles. We use glass noodles atleast once a month so we were pretty excited to have them out. The flavors were OK, everything was cooked perfectly but needed something.

We loved our beef noodle soup, pork shrimp soup dumplings and mango pomelo sago and taro boba drinks. We had enough soup to take home from just once portion between us both. Highly recommend.

Smile Generating Meals that will leave you full and completely satisfied. From presentation to taste, this is one of the Most enjoyable meals I’ve had in a long time. The pancake appetizer is a meal in itself and tastes phenomenal. Everything is fresh and very high quality. Kind staff and fast service.

Dear dragon palace Thanks for the excellent dinner. I had the garlic eggplant and my wife loved her stir fry vegetables. The service was quick and friendly. We love the calm atmosphere and will definitely be back and tell our friends. And the red bean cake was fantastic!! Very highly recommended. See you next time.

An American eatery offering the usual chinese-style foods. 😎 A NOTABLE feature is that they actually accept the fact that most of their food are NOT AUTHENTIC Chinese, by 😎 offering a SEPARATE LISTING AUTHENTIC DISHES, although this listing still includes dishes that not Chinese. 🤩 One of more authentic foods is the (Pork) Dumplings with Leeks: very flavorful even without the dipping sauce. 😡 In contrast, the Americanized Vegetable Dumplings are unseasoned with thick gummy dough. 🤩🤩🤩 Though in their Chinese menu, which should be, is Crispy Duck that is very flavorful, moist, crispy skin, the fat is rendered out. This has the properties of a Cantonese dish though this one is not smoked. 🤩 The Bokchoy is a very subtly seasoned and Al dente, again with the subtle flavor that is Cantonese to my palate. 🫤🫤🫤 Sadly, they serve only tea bags, which is very uncharacteristic of what a Chinese eatery should be. THIS IS AN EATERY THAT WOULD BE WORTH RE-VISITING to explore other listings. Perhaps, those other fishes might raise their rating by this Foodie. The prices are very very reasonable. The service is very good. The ambience is pleasant.

Family owned friendly staff, awesome food fast takeout place.

All of the phone reviews are accurate. When you're on the phone, she WILL rush you off of the phone. It doesn't matter if you're ordering or checking on your order because it's late, something is wrong, or whatever. You're cooked if you call

Delicious food and good prices. I think the large portions are worth it as its just a couple more dollars and it seems like twice the food. Ordered a variety of items and it was all very tasty.

Super good!!! I called to see if they did cash delivery because I only had cash one day but they only do DoorDash. Man definitely moneys worth! I did the DoorDash. I had shrimp fried rice with chicken wings it was HEAVEN!! however it wasn’t much shrimp. I counted 7 shrimp exactly. So the second time I ordered the chicken wings I got just the fried rice instead because I didn’t want to be disappointed with the amount of shrimp. Birh very good and fresh! The wings are 10000/10 this is now my new favorite go to Chinese spot in Pittsburgh. Chiefs kiss

This place is a 5-star in my book! The chicken egg roll was delicious—one of the best I’ve had—and a great size, too. I also enjoyed the orange chicken dinner with fried rice, which was amazing. The portion was generous, with just the right amount of spice. I only ate half and saved the rest for lunch the next day. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I'm treated well every time I go to Sesame Garden. Nice servers, great food (the general tso's is really crispy - love it!), calm vibes in Mount Washington, you can't beat it! I will say that the pad thai is kind of "mid" - just go to Thai Gourmet in Bloomfield if you want that kind of food.

I forgot how good their food is! It's been yrs but they are still the best Chinese I've had! It's not a fancy place, that's why I gave the atmosphere a 3.

First time coming here so here is my honest thoughts. The service was good its a small buisness run by some really good people. I love supporting small buisnesses for sure but I have to be honest about the food and atmosphere. The atmosphere was quiet with a bunch of people right next to you and you can hear there converstaions etc. Since the owners dont have any background music or ambience so its bit awkward. The food was a disappointment. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein and Chicken Teriyaki. The Beef Lo Mein was really good but the Chicken Teriyaki was terrible and way expensive for what it was. As you see by the pictures the Chicken Teriyaki barely had any meat on it and tasted terrible and nothing like Chicken Teriyaki at all. There was 0 sauce or anything. It was a little bit meat on a chicken for 12 dollars which is insane. I go to a Asian resturant to get authentic food and I was massively disappointed. There really good people but you cant be charging me 12 dollars for that. I personally wont be going back there for some time. Im going to give it some time and hope for some improvment since its my closest Asian resturant.

Highly recommended! I was looking for a sit down Chinese restaurant similar to ones I had been to growing up, and tried Chinatown Inn for the first time. Atmosphere is comfortable and nicely decorated. We were sat quickly and greeted with waters and hot tea shortly after. Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. Even with the dining room filling up- the service was great. Food arrived at a nice pace allowing time between appetizers, entrees etc, waters were frequently refilled, old plates cleared promptly. I saw other reviews about the egg-rolls and decided to try them- very good and a must have, larger size and much fresher than what you’ve probably had at any other restaurant- available in various styles - including vegetarian. I would also recommend the pork fried rice / pork and mushrooms. Nice amount of great quality roast pork in both dishes. Our server helped us pack out leftovers and cashed out our payments promptly. I’d highly recommend giving this location a try!

Chinatown Inn last standing Chinese restaurant in Pittsburgh Chinatown. When you walk in it has an Asian feel I remember when I was young with the leather booths, the color red throughout the restaurant and fish tanks. Staff was very nice and outfit in old Asian attire. We first try the Chinatown Pu Pu Platter and dumpling to try out the different appetizers. Our entree were Beef with Broccoli, the Happy Gathering, the House Special Duck and the Salt and Pepper fish. The food was decent but I found it was made more for non Chinese than actual Chinese. Totally understandable since we were the only Chinese outside of the staff in the restaurant and they probably don’t get that many actual Chinese in the restaurant. But it was still a good experience.

I recently visited this Chinese café-restaurant, and I was really impressed! Their wonton soup and hot and sour soup are absolutely delicious—rich in flavor and perfectly balanced. The dish in the photo is orange chicken, which was incredibly tasty, especially with brown rice. Every bite was full of flavor, and the texture was just right. Another great thing about this place is that they have an electric charging station, so for some people, it’s a great way to do two things at once—enjoy a delicious meal while charging their car. Overall, this place serves amazing food, and I highly recommend it.

The most delicious combination fried rice I’ve ever had at a local Chinese takeout restaurant. Made with deliciously moist and tender beef, chicken and shrimp, shallots, onions, peas, and carrots. And it’s a hefty amount. Definitely set at a great price for the amount of food you get. Whenever I can I always order this. Must try. Unfortunately I won’t be able to get any even though I absolutely love it, since I’m having to pay for funeral expenses. But as soon as I can afford it I will be back for more!
