M Kee
Stopped by here at random within Philadelphia's China Town. Cantonese style Chinese food. Food is quick and hot. I enjoyed it and recommend it.
Great meals at great price points. The duck, roast pork, chicken, and bbq pork are all delicious here.
David's Mai Lai Wah
Ordered from here because it was 2am and the only thing open near me. I got the coconut shrimp and it was horrible. First the shrimp was cold and soggy. The coconut sauce that was on half the shrimp had no flavor to it. On top of the food being horrible they called me to tell me my order was ready and when I got there to pick it up I had to wait five minutes while the lady counted her tips. Overpriced and customer service sucks.
This establishment is basic at best. They are price gouging and down right rude and unapologetically arrogant. When a customer request a itemized list of the expenses, you are told that you can't have one and if you continue to ask they push back (bully) by saying that they will not take your order. The prices online do not at all match the prices in menu. The wait times outrageously long...even if you place a small order. You call to place an order over the phone and can't get through. Then you arrive in person just to be chastised by the staff, as if they don't already know their phone lines are always busy and they have two lines apparently yet only one is posted online with dare I say outdated menu prices. They have completely chosen to not open the dining hall since the pandemic. Please BEWARE when you choose to patronize this business. Kindness will carry you everywhere. This business should be humble and not take advantage of those that they truly depend on, that allows their business to thrive and continue to operate. "David's Mai Lai Wah" please do better. Stop treating your customers like you have the best restaurant in Chinatown.
Ocean Harbor
Every time I've come here since my friend brought me here with her family over 15 years ago, it has always been an enjoyable experience. The food is delicious and there are many options. The Jasmine tea was a wonderful compliment to the meal. The staff is helpful and kind. I am now hard of hearing, and they were patient and repeated food names when I asked.
Excellent food, great taste. Most of the dishes are very authentic with generous portions. I had the chance to try both dinner and dim sum; can't think of anything in particular to recommend because my experiences were good inboth occasions. Weekend dim sum is extremely busy and would strongly recommend getting there a bit early.
Jade Harbor
Experiences may vary it seems, but we had an overall good time. I didn’t see any issues with the bill either. The food came out quickly, and the tea was hot. Here we had the pork in garlic sauce, scallion pancake, and the wet fried rice with seafood was my favorite. Not your usual customer service either, compared to your typical restaurant but they were nice.
This restaurant has the best Cantonese dishes! Everything was so delicious! I have tried all other Cantonese cuisine in Philly Chinatown but this one is definitely the best of all! Atmosphere is a little lacking but the service was excellent and food was excellent! Highly recommend!
Canto House
I disagree with previous reviewers points about service friendliness. This is a small family owned and ran business they don’t necessarily have the time to wait on you and make you happy when they are very busy! They were very polite to my wife and I, advising dishes, quick service and even pointing out a dragon dance parade going by outside. Honestly the food is very good, this is typical canton dishes, very farm from the spicy mainland dishes you may come across. Their bbq is very traditional and tasty, I’d also recommend the Ho Fun. You can also just purchase a crispy duck, take it home and have duck pancakes. Don’t miss this place, give it a try with an open mind and give them a chance to show you a family run business!
Passed by my usual spot - jade harbor across the street and they weren’t open yet. Popped in here and had an absolutely delicious meal. The fried rice was super fresh, spring rolls so hot and crunchy ! Wonton noodle soup wasn’t a best effort , the broth was very light and flavorless. The duck skin was soggy and a bit chewy. Don’t go here for that, but def try the rest. It was super tasty 🙌🏼

Strange strange place
Chinese people don’t lie to Chinese people. I ordered the extra spicy pot base, which was delicious. The soup base will be slightly bitter if cooked for a long time. The quality of black belly mutton is online.
