I wouldn’t say this was the best dim sum I’ve ever had but it was good. Pricing on everything was also reasonable. Every staff member we encountered were very nice and service was very quick. One thing I will note is that they have a decent amount of vegetarian options which can be hard to find at dim sum restaurants. Everything did have flavor (the noodles were a little bland but great quantity). If I had to choose my favorite, it probably would be the shrimp and chive dumpling. My least favorite was the fried shrimp ball. It had a spongy consistency that was strange to me but again, it still was flavorful. They have a really yummy dumpling sauce and the chili oil that sits on the table was delicious as well.

Food was very delicious and flavorful, my only thing is that salt and pepper shrimp should be peeled before battered/fried to get all the flavor from seasoning. I know some people like to eat the shell, but I think people should be given a choice between shell and shell-less. Everything was good and the servers were nice, although short in service.

This genuinely might be one of my new favorite places to eat, not only in Chinatown but in Philly. My mother and I came here this past Saturday for lunch and we both agreed that every single dish we ordered was FANTASTIC. It was one of the best meals I’ve had. I’ve always wanted to try a hand drawn noodle house and I am so glad this place was my first impression of one!! We shared a scallion pancake and vegetable dumplings as appetizers. SO GOOD. My mother got the Szechuan Cold Noodles as her main and I got the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup. AMAZING. The portions are quite generous and the prices are so reasonable. Can’t wait to come back!!

First off this place is cash only. Do not even think of going there without cash. If it is busy, they will see you with other groups at the same table. This is just because it’s a very busy spot, especially during busy times. With those two things in mind, I always know the food is going to be great and I have been here twice in a week to eat. Both times it was the same. It was excellent. The service was excellent and the food absolutely tasted exactly the same as before. Raised beef noodle soup is a great choice as is the saliva chicken And scallion pancake. Next time I’ll try the shaved noodle, but the hand-drawn noodle is absolutely stellar with great chew and lots of bounce and not overcooked.

I recently visited and tried a variety of dishes, and overall, it was a pretty good experience. The noodles were excellent—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The soup was a little milder than I had hoped for in terms of spice - I had to add some chili oil to give it the kick I was craving. The shrimp was delicious, although I found it a bit odd that it wasn’t peeled, especially since it was coated. Unfortunately, it affected my overall eating experience. As for the steamed pork dumplings, I wasn’t a fan of the filling—it just didn’t quite suit my taste. The sauce accompanying the dumplings was delicious though - ask for more! Service was excellent, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

quaint little spot with some of the best noodles in the city! Ive been coming here for yeeears and they're so consistent and delicious! they nail the Szechuan flavor. the hand pulled noodles are superior!

Having traveled to Hong Kong and Mainland China I can say that the food here mimics the flavors and sparks inexhaustible memories from many meals shared with colleagues and friends. Go for Sunday dim sum brunch if you want to really get an authentic experience. My personal favorites : turnip cake, meatballs, soup dumplings and the taro dumpling. The waitresses are friendly and funny and more than willing to help you understand the endless options available. For 2 of us the bill was 60 bucks and we had 7 different dishes and fried rice. GO HERE! You won’t be sorry .

I've been coming to this place for years. This time I came on a Sunday first time I saw this place not that full. Service was pretty bad. Had to ask for water for the table at least six or seven times, from servers and even from another person who was the manager. Some of the regular dim sums were ok, not as good as I remember. The soup dumplings were pretty bad and staluck to the spoons. The dough was thick and pasty. The stuffing for lot of the dumplings was all mushi. The chicken feet and the short rib were good. The Chinese broccoli was good. The pork Schumai was nice, other than that it felt pretty meh. Hopefully was the one-time thing maybe I'll try them again we will see. But the next time I have a craving I'll probably try one of the other places either in Chinatown or on Washington avenue.

Hidden Gem with Amazing Food and Service I’ve always been curious about this place but hesitated to try it because of the exterior—it looks like a takeout spot from the outside. Last week, I finally decided to go in and was pleasantly surprised. Inside, it’s a clean and inviting dine-in restaurant. The restaurant was empty, which made me a little sad, especially after trying the food—it’s unbelievably good! I ordered the Chongqing spicy chicken, scallion pancake, liang pi, and hot and sour soup. Every dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The scallion pancake had a uniquely crisp crust, and the hot and sour soup was packed with veggies, button mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, tofu, and eggs. It was comforting, delicious, and felt healthy—exactly what you need on a cold day. They even offer small and large pot options, which is great for any appetite. Service was phenomenal, and the food arrived quickly. The quality and quantity of food for the price were unbeatable. If you’re in the neighborhood, don’t overlook this spot. It’s a hidden gem that deserves more attention. I’ll definitely be back!

Got the Chinese pork hamburger and the liang pi for takeout late at night. It was tasty and felt a bit homemade. The flavor was good, but not particularly notable if you’ve tried other places. More of a soy sauce flavor. The “hamburger” bun was on the bready and soft side. The liang pi was a cold dish. It was on the firmer side and not as chewy. Friend got the pepper chicken which was good and within expectations of Chinese takeout.

This place has the best Peking duck in town! We ordered the whole duck, pan fried eggplant stuffed with shrimp, and snow pea leaves sautéed with garlic. Everything was delicious - the eggplant was caramelized in the best way possible and the peas leaves were yummy. The duck, however, was the centerpiece of the meal. It was juicy, and the skin was amazingly crispy. We wrapped the beautifully sliced meat with delicate pancakes, house sauce, and shredded scallions. It does take 40 minutes for them to prepare the duck. (This is normal for a place that specializes in Peking duck.) One thing I wish the restaurant would do better is the ambience. The place feels like a no-frills banquet hall with lights that are a little too bright. The duck that they serve deserves a slightly fancier atmosphere. That said, my family can’t wait to come back for the duck again. The dim sum menu also looks good so we’ll be back for that, too.

The service is great, the chef was cool. Food is worth it. We were there for the Peking duck. It's definitely a different taste experience. I highly recommend it. Had to get those feet and bean curds

Honestly disgusting. Maybe eating in person is different? I ordered online through relay - which, let me warn you, there is no customer service for if something goes wrong. Got the vegan sesame chicken and it was PURE soaked dough, no crisp whatsoever, completely inedible. Fiancé got a chicken noodle dish - do you see any chicken in here? There were about three strips. Everything got trashed. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the vegan wonton soup was great, so if you’re craving that, go for it. I hate hate hate having to waste food or write a bad review, but it sucks when restaurants use delivery platforms that don’t try to make things right when something is cooked poorly.

Great food! My go to for local Chinese food. Most recent order I accidentally put pickup but meant to say delivery and they graciously still brought it out to me with no hassle.

This place does not look like the food I received. THIS FOOD WAS SOOOO DELICIOUS!!!!!! Shrimp was cleaned out fresh and nice size. THERE WAS VEGETABLES IN MY SHRIMP IN GARLIC SAUCE. THE LADY AT TJE WINDOW WAS VERY NICE. SO SWEET AND VERY FRIENDLY. WILL BE GOING BACK THERE!!!!!!!!!! 10/10

Always fresh, crispy chicken wings!!!! My favorite chinese restaurant in south philadelphia. The woman behind the counter is always so polite to me (she always gives me chopsticks when i ask). Keep up the good work!!! this Chinese store is a prime example of, you can’t judge a book by its cover because from the outside you wouldn’t think the food would be so great but when you receive your first order, you’re gonna know they know how to complete the assignment

Got the general tsos combo. paid $9 straight for this meal. The meal usually comes with shrimp egg roll but I got the veggie. Not fond of the taste or texture of the veggie roll. It was double wrapped and not fully cooked on the inside. The sauce on the chicken was good. Comes with fried rice that was the best part of the meal. This place is takeout only.

My friends and I tried Jin House for the first time yesterday because Uber eats was running a buy one, get one free promo on a lot of their combination platters which was extremely risky because we never tried it but I’m so glad we did. We paid for only three platters which was the pepper steak, general Taos chicken and lastly the rib tips but got six. We also ordered 3 pints of rice but was surprised to see that all 6 platters also came with a variety of white rice and fried rice. Now what’s most important is the food! The general Taos was my favorite thing. The chicken cuts were huge and I love that they made it spicy. The rib tips were also extremely good, they cut them up extremely small which made them easy for me to bite which I appreciated. They also gave us free shrimp egg rolls which was very good. It didn’t taste like your average eggrolls from the Chinese store. It was juicy and fresh. I was impressed by how good it was. Lastly, I got the pepper steak and onions. If I’m being honest, it wasn’t my favorite thing. It had too much onions which I’m not a big fan of and only a few pieces of meat and in my opinion was too sweet but it’s okay to not like some things and it didn’t ruin my experience. I’ll definitely come back to try more things. I’d say try it out!!

Dim Sum Garden is a fantastic spot for a fresh, delicious and authentic meal! The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, making it a great place for the whole family to enjoy. We love the new place! Their soup dumplings are absolutely amazing—perfectly delicate with rich, flavorful broth inside. The chicken fried rice is packed with taste and cooked to perfection, and the chicken dumplings are a must-try, with a delicate outside and juicy, well-seasoned filling. Whether you’re a dim sum lover or trying it for the first time, Dim Sum Garden never disappoints! They also have a whole mocktail menu. We have been coming here for years and even though the building changed everything tastes the same! Highly recommend!

I've been coming here to dim sum garden for so long! But this was my first time at the new location The new location is very upscale and has a double four section Major upgrade from the last place still often with a line without the door though lol. Food here is amazing I recommend all the dumplings personally I like steam but they're good fried too they're dumpling sauces to die for scallop taking so great and of course they're sweet sour chicken not to mention all the noodle types this is definitely our top stop!

The house lo mein was good the wings were horrible dry I thought they re cooked somebody wings that didn't pick them up and gave them to me. I didn't know the delivery free. I really didn't know the prices anything receipt and no price. The service of fast

Due to the most recent reviews, I was very tempted to order but when I ordered, the experience was what I expected from an average, normal chinese store. The duck with the garlic sauce was flavorful, The Chicken and Broccoli was soft and flavorful, and the General tso chicken was sweet with a hint of spice. Although the delivery took around 40 minutes, the food was fantastic and would most definitely recommend the fried duck to anyone with a 20-30 dollar budget and would like to try something new.
