Fong Wah Chinese Restaurant
This place is your normal hood Chinese food spot. The food is a 7 and a half out of a 10 the people that work there are fast and polite and you can buy a lot of other things there down to toilet paper. Seriously at 1 am you run out of tp you can go get you a wrap, lighter, something to drink, munchies and a roll of tp. Place is one of a kind
For over 40 yrs this business served our community. Still great food the hood respects them Ms Sue was a mom to us now her kids run the spot. Love them for life.
Fu-Wah Chinese Restaurant
The food was good. The steamed dumplings were delicious. I usually get them fried and chose to get them steamed, I immediately destroyed them! I may only get them steamed from now on. The Bourbon Chicken combination platter wasn't as good. The pork fried rice was good but the chicken was dry and I expected it to be sweet. It wasn't bad, I just didn't enjoy it. I also ordered boneless spare ribs. They are among the best I've had. The egg roll was not that enjoyable. It's dry and the breading was really thick. I will go back to this restaurant and try other meals. I do recommend them as a good choice for a fine Chinese meal.
Food was horrible and rotted I ordered chicken wings and “lo mein” the lo mein was dry without anything on it just boiled noodles and the chicken wings where expired Definitely will not be coming back here and don’t recommend this spot to anyone The lady at the cashier was rude as well.
Kam Buffet & Kam Cajun Seafood Restaurants
The food was not bad, but it was not great either, they have little variety (most of it is fried). It seems not very busy and the atmosphere does not feel welcoming. I expected more (food and restaurant atmosphere). The staff is very attentive to the tables.
This place has really changed a lot over the years but they still have the 15% charge if you don’t eat all your food. The reason I always came back was because of their shrimps with onions but they aren’t the same. Bit into it and tasted oil. Styrofoam plates, cups and plastic utensils now. The bathroom gets worst every time and seriously needs an upgrade but the staff was nice and everything else taste fine.
China Chef
Something has changed at China Chef and not for the better. The original owner Laura I have not seen for at least nine months and when inquiring where she was, I was told she still owns the restaurant. I find that hard to believe as she is gone and so are the old waitresses we used to know. Laura has been replaced at the greeting desk by a middle-aged gentleman. If you wanna call him that who is rude and impatient when calling in for takeout orders or for delivery. But the most Amazing thing is that coming in at 2:55 , that the lunch special was over and we were too late when we clearly were not. And even if we were, we’ve been good customers for about 25 years . We turned around and left. The food right along has been coming so quickly after ordering on the phone for delivery that it is impossible for it to be cooked to order. This is food that they somehow have cooked beforehand reheated and sent out . :the one good part about the place is Justin the driver Who has always been a gentleman and a scholar. The quality of their food is not what it used to be the flavor is different and it is hit and miss. One thing that is alarming is that when you eat in the place there is a gentleman probably one of the chefs who walks out into the men’s room past us seated at least three or four times during an hour dining. I wonder if he washes his hands after taking one of his numerous bathroom breaks and went in to check the sink one day to Find it bone dry. most of the staff, especially the gentleman who makes frequent trips to the men’s room look very unhappy. So to wrap this up, the bottom line is something strange has happened to China chef and without Laura at the helm the quality of the food has gone down and the ambience or the communication over the telephone has become quite unpleasant with this new guy. The one nice person working there And an asset to To the restaurant is Justin the driver who has always been very nice.
The food is not worth the price, a few choice dishes that are very tasty! I get undercooked vegetables and thin sauces that should be thick a good amount of the time. The protein portions vary too much, I just received a dish with a good amount of shrimp and beef but the chicken dish was lacking. Makes no sense money wise. I aim for some of the other Chinese restaurants over this one, if you’re in a bind the food isn’t too bad.
Thai Village
Thai Village is absolutely one of the best Thai restaurants in Princeton on Nassau Street, which is super convenient. My family and I are regular patrons and we even catered food from them for our house parties because the food is simply amazing. The staffs are great and friendly whenever we eat there, service is top notch, the food is so yummy, and price is reasonable that we can eat there everyday. We also bring our friends there. Thank you Thai Village!
I ordered the crispy pork and drunken noodle. Both are perfectly cooked! Thai Village is definitely the best thai place in the area!
Thai Delight (formerly Lil Thai Pin)
Stopped in here unexpectedly. Food was very good. Green curry was fantastic. The spring rolls were fresh, but not my favorite. Service was friendly and we had table service. Small place like many Princeton places on Nassau. We ordered food to bring home for other family members. We can’t get good Thai near our house.
The restaurant is much smaller than it looks in pictures. There is no table service, they serve the food and disposable plates and forks. I paid $17 for beef drunken noodles. When I arrived, they had served me chicken but corrected the mistake. For this price, I expect proper table service. The food was way too sweet and had raw tomatoes which threw me off. It tasted okay. The restaurant is much smaller than it looks in pictures, and is a counter serve joint where you pay at the counter. Very tight seating around 200-400 sf dining room. There are no proper restrooms. I will never come here again. For roughly the same price $17.50, you’re much better off going to Thai Village. The food is much tastier and less sweet. There are nice high ceilings and a spacious restaurant. There is proper table service with stoneware. On the other hand, Amazing Thai is way too expensive.
Pasar Malam
Delicious! Flavors remind me of being in Malaysia. Portions are huge and interior is very cutesy. Will be my new go-to for Southeast Asian food!
Renovated old place , look much better than used to be . The food is delicious. This our fav place to eat if we craving Asian cuisine. Highly recommended .
Ajiten Princeton Japanese restaurant
Authentic Japanese sushi and comfort food. All of their fish is fresh, their sushi rice is perfect, and their miso soup is authentic miso. We stopped by for lunch and were blown away. Great, welcoming service. The interior is cozy. They serve fresh green tea, which is always a plus! This is the best quality sushi and Japanese cuisine you’ll find in all of Princeton.
The food was really good, especially for the price! The music was also quite nice (acoustic versions of pop songs). Overall great atmosphere and food.
honeygrow
Nice clean & spacious location. Staff was courteous. Really like that they have hanging hooks for your bag & charging outlets under the high tables..I think those are nice & important perks when dining in. Being a sucker for art & color, I loved seeing a big mural on their wall. Unfortunately what I ordered wasn’t the greatest. My noodles lacked sauce & was slightly dry,(had to purchase extra sauce)the avocado piece was hard & wasn’t cut into smaller pieces(like usual)Plus my portion wasn’t filled to the top like it usually is. If I’m spending $15+ for food my hope is the portion would be fair & match the price point. Since this was my first time at this location I can’t in all honesty say I wouldn’t go back. But what I’ve learned as a frequent customer of Honey Grow is, not every visit will be the exact same. That’s my only beef with this franchise, the inconsistency from all the locations I’ve been to sorta sucks.
Honey Grow in Hamilton Square makes you feel like you're eating fine dining all because of Dom. Dom is the manager. He is all hands on deck and ensures the restaurant remains clean. Dom goes out of his way to greet customers, ensure they are comfortable and enjoying their food. I have never been there and not seen Dom not help in the kitchen too. Dom sets the atmosphere not only for the customers but also for the employees, especially when the employees don't look very content. Dom is monumental in setting the environment at Honey Grow. If you go to Hamilton Square's Honey Grow say hello to and greet Dom, if he doesn't beat you to it first. Thanks for all you do Dom!
Purinsu Ramen
It was a decent experience. The exterior looks appealing and quiet Japanese. I don’t know if the owner of this place is Japanese or Cantonese though. I had ramen, which was really good. The service was fast and helpful. However, I had to mention that the food is a little overpriced, and the bathroom there needs some cleaning.
The interior was a good vibe and seating was very open when we came in, was around 4:00pm too. We ordered two ramens only for it to be mediocre, both were $20 a bowl too. The waiter wasnt either nice or rude, she was just there. The restaurant seemed to not just stick to Japanese food either, having a separate menu for cantonese food. Normally im okay with tap water, waters water right? But the water was really weird tasting that it made me avoid it the rest of the meal, except the ramen was too salty for me that i couldnt avoid it.
Indian Hut Lawrenceville
I recently visited Indian Hut Restaurant and had an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The highlight of my visit was the food. The curries were simply phenomenal – rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. You can feel the authentic flavors . I tried Dal makhani, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had! To top it off, their egg less pastries were a delightful surprise. They were fresh, beautifully presented, and the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking for a great dining experience, Indian Hut is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
I have ordered from this restraunt 2-3 times. Last time I ordered they did not gave me Naan which I ordered and when I confirmed they told me it is there. Today again when I ordered extra naan it was not there. The quality of Butter Panner Masala was so bad it was all orange looking like a soup. I also ordered Malai chaap instead of malai they gave me mayonnaise chaap and the taste was pathetic have to throw it. Please if you have the option order from someother place few of my friends experienced the same.
Royal chef
I used to really like ordering from this place until I realized how nasty they are. Because one time they sent me the wrong rice I had ordered shrimp fried rice and they sent pork fried rice so I called back and asked them to send me my shrimp fried rice what I payed for so they really where so diqusting to make an exstange of the pork fried rice that was inside my house my atmosphere my germs for the shrimp fried rice they where suppose to send. And I had ate a little of it and they still made me give them that rice for the rice they owed me that is outrageous. I wonder if they really put that back into the pot or if they were just messing with me either way it’s disgusting. Please take this reminder before ordering from here.
Really great Chinese restaurant. Family owned and operated. They’re really a staple in the neighborhood. I will say that if you order after the dinner rush the quality of the food does pretty drastically decrease. Sometimes I feel like I’m getting left over dinner rush food that’s been reheated or refried. That is probably the only complaint I have. Otherwise if you order prior to that for lunch or dinner the food is excellent!
