They're alright, normal Chinese food. The fried rice always tastes bland. The chicken fried rice doesn't seem to have real chicken in it. The effort could be better.

Worst chinese food ever. No meat in the General Tso's, fried dough, wanton soup had no taste. Mi fun was dry, tasteless and had about 10 tiny shrimp in a large order. People, don't waste your money.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend this place. We placed an order to go and got a couple dinner combos and a pu pu platter. The dinner combos were horribly bland and honestly seemed a bit old, everything in the shared platter was cold and greasy nothing crunchy about it. The spring rolls were terrible one bite was all we could stand it was like straight mush and had probably gone bad earlier this week. For 50 dollars for 2 people I would expect a little better but Chinese food definitely isn't like it used to be 😴

More honey! More money! What can i say? Food is well made and its the #1 spot in town for authentic Chinese food, love they’re boneless spare ribs well done with white rice, you’ll catch me in here at least twice a week!

I had a great experience at Top Five Stars Chinese Restaurant. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly without hovering. I tried the Double Happiness, (general chicken and general shrimp) and the food came out quickly, tasted great, and wasn’t overcooked. If you’re thinking about trying something marked as extra spicy, don’t worry—it’s flavorful but not overly hot. Overall, everything was done well, and I’ll probably be back. Definitely worth checking out!

Today when we sat down like every other time I have gone to any Chinese Restaurant in 60 years you are given a bowl of fried noodles. We usually go through 2 bowls. When we asked for a 2nd bowl we were told there are no more left in the restaurant and that after today management has decided not to serve or sell anymore ( yes they started charging for the noodles on takeout orders) so if you are expecting those crunchy noodles, they are no more. The food was ok, average at best and little bland on items listed as spicy etc. No dining area, but based on the look of the place that is a good thing The bathroom is permanently out of order.

Order a takeout meal 🥘- I couldn’t pick it up for a bit . I showed up and the employees ate my meal and proceeded to charge me FULL PRICE - while they made me wait 15 mins for a new order l??!! Um - yellow slants looking for a FREE LUNCH??!!!

Food was more than enough, with friendly staff.

I'm not a local to this area, or even to PA, so I wasn't expecting a chinese place in the middle of nowhere to be good, but oh my goodness, it was so good! The eggroll wasn't greasy, the shrimp was flavorful, and the vegetables! Oh the vegetables! They were so fresh and delicious! The pizza place in town has frozen vegetables, so I was nervous, but these were so fresh, and there were so many in my fried rice! I love it, and will definitely be returning.

The food was delicious and the service was as good as it’s going to get when it is as busy as it was. We didn’t know that you can’t eat items marked as dinner menu if you stayed through lunch until dinner. It looked so good though and we ate some. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area. The atmosphere is very family friendly. $13 a person for lunch and everything was delicious and hot. Great sushi bar and they had a stir fry station. Plenty of seafood.

The variety of food was not bad. I was just concerned with how the rice on the sushi seemed hardened because it wasn’t fresh anymore. I just hope I don’t get food poisoning tonight. Fried squid also seemed stale. Not many dessert options either. Some food did look fresh though. Maybe it’s a hit or miss place?

Placed an online order and had a 30min wait for food to be ready. Arrived at time when my order said it would be ready by. Was told it would be another 10mins. I then waited 30mins before they even started my order. In total, I waited an additional hour in the restaurant for my order!!! If I had not already paid for my food online, I would have left. Owners didn't even seem to know which customers' orders were placed first and which customers had been waiting. Once I got home, my family agreed this was not good chinese food and not worth the price. The chicken was very dry, and fried dumplings were soggy. The dumplings looked and tasted like the frozen kind you would buy from a grocery store. I do not know how this restaurant has received good reviews. I recommend oriental express in Old Forge over this place. Shameful, first time coming to this location. Will not be returning. Also, there is no off-street parking.

I’ve been coming here for some time but last nights food was exceptional. There was what appeared to be an older married couple cooking and gathering the orders and the food was FANTASTIC. I will only come here from now on if and when this couple is preparing the food. The general tso, chicken and broccoli with cashew, fried rice, wonton soup and veggie lo mein were out of this world.

Golden Star is an absolute gem! I stopped by on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly cooked food had me excited. I ordered the teriyaki beef sticks and sweet and sour pork, and wow—each bite was better than the last! The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the pork was crispy and paired wonderfully with the tangy sauce. The staff here are fantastic—super friendly and attentive. Even though the restaurant was busy, they managed to keep everything running smoothly, and my food was ready in no time. The vibe is casual and laid-back, making it a great spot for a quick meal or a relaxed dinner. If you’re a fan of generous portions and bold flavors, this place is a must-visit. Whether you’re dining in, grabbing takeout, or ordering delivery, Golden Star delivers (literally and figuratively) every time. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes! Five stars, hands down.

Golden Star Chinese Restaurant is my go-to spot for amazing Chinese food in Pittston! Every time I visit, I’m impressed by the quality and flavor of their dishes. This time, I tried the steamed dumplings, shrimp with vegetables, and hot and sour soup, and everything was absolutely delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the seasoning was spot on. What really stands out is the service. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, making sure your experience is enjoyable from the moment you walk in. They’re quick to prepare orders, so whether you’re dining in or taking out, you never have to wait long. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is cozy and perfect for a casual meal, but if you’re staying in, their takeout packaging ensures your food stays hot and fresh. Plus, the portions are generous—perfect for sharing or saving some for later! Golden Star truly delivers on flavor, value, and service. I’ve tried several Chinese restaurants in the area, and this one is by far my favorite. Highly recommend giving it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

We occasionally order for our office at work, typically $130-$160 order. Sprays hot always fresh always delicious. Delivery driver Pat is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet! I just wish they would answer their phone before 11am to be able to place our order and give them time to prepare it and get delivered by 11:45-12:00. Other than that, this place is our go to for Chinese every time. Highly recommended.

Good food. 2nd time they did not put the sweet sauce for sweet and sour chicken.luv marking two trips.

It was absolutely awesome at 12pm today!!! Hershey’s ice cream was a nice touch for desert. Yum!!

I was at this buffet yesterday, it was good until they set us in the LAST table 😐, I simply said Ok. Then I asked for a CAN of soda, they broght me a glass soda ( I don't drink those, normally the machines are dirty, restaurants don't clean them) so when I asked about Can, they just started to talk in their language 😒😒. Shin Shin ( I think is like that) was really nice, however at the end she was like scanning us with her eyes 👀👀👀 Girl if I tip you $20 and my bill was $33, it means, I can pay for my food! My plastic bag was from Wallmart. The food was great, fresh and tasty. They do not have many drinks options, so you can drink water, but it was horrible 🤢🤮🤕🤒 I don't know why my husband visit this kine of places, it was his B-day so. But for real I am not into Buffets any more. The place is gorgeous, the cashier lady is super nice, also the guy who sit the costumers, everything was clean and restrooms were decents. It right across the street, so if you are a driver you can go walking. They have to go.

A little outdated inside with no inside seating. Fast service for the take out order. Friendly service. Prices are on the high side. Food was adequate, nothing special. Great for fast take out on your way home from work when you need something different.

I have got to take a minute to rave about their sweet and sour chicken! Can we just acknowledge that the pieces of chicken are HUGE and they’re not hard they’re tender and the outside is crispy. There is no Chinese food in the entire valley like this one. ☝🏼💯 I literally would eat here every day if I could. Their bourbon chicken is exceptional as well! And, my sister loves their egg rolls and sesame chicken. Y’all gotta give this place a go! It’s worth it! Oh and the prices are good too. The only thing is they need to add lemon sauce to their menu that would literally be my only complaint ☝🏼😂🤷🏻‍♀️

We decided to order from China III on broad st near the library placed a big order so i thought they might had made a mistake i called and let them know we got the wrong item since i ordered honey chicken and got coconut chicken the girl then said no it was in there and i politely let her know no i got coconut chicken instead of honey chicken asked me to hold on I was on hold for 15mins while she was getting screamed by and going back and forth with lord knows who over there just to come back and tell me that they not only told me what the chicken would look like but also showed me which is a complete lie the bag was stapled together when picked up and nothing was spoked about except the form of payment 🤣 i then proceed to just ask her for a refund or an exchange because not only did i not get what i ordered the thing doesn’t look or smell good She said no 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Has Anyone Else Ordered Honey Chicken And It Look Like This 🤣🤢🤮🤦🏻‍♀️ What I got vs what I ordered

Best chinese food I ever had in the Pittston area. The lady working there was awesome, very helpful, and served us promptly. Answered all questions and was honestly the best chinese food we have had. 5 stars all the way.
