China Cafe
We were excited to try this place, it had good reviews and a local friend said months ago it was good. Short version, it is not! We ordered for a group of 15 so plenty of options and not a single good entree. Ordered 3 types of chicken (sesame, orange, and general tso). Once on your plate you could NOT tell 1 from the other, they all taste exactly the same and definitely had the same exact sauce. Also it was all bread we started playing a game to see who could find chicken at all inside the bread and who could find the largest piece. End result, very little chicken and the largest piece was extremely small. So overall would not recommend. We were so disappointed with all 17 dishes we ordered.
I love eating here. Their delivery times are unbeatable, with the happiest, nicest delivery drivers around. This may be no big deal to a lot of people and I hope it isn’t to most, but personally…it destroys my desire to patronize this place fully. They close at 10pm, but you’ve gotta have good luck if u want to call in an order after 9:30, even for a pick up order. Most of the time they won’t even answer the phone. I understand not wanting to send out a delivery at 9:50 or not having to cook after you’ve put things away, but don’t say your open till 10pm then, or clearly state in your ads that u don’t take orders after 9:30. They literally turn the lights off and walk out the door at 10pm on the dot. They’ve already put everything away and cleaned up by 9:45. If u say ur open till 10, that means I should b able to place an order up to that time, unless its stated otherwise, IMO.
Oriental Palace
Chicken looked good, but it wasn’t edible. Some pieces were so stringy you couldn’t chew them, and the others were mostly burnt breading or just really really overcooked chicken (hard to tell). This is the third time I’ve tried them in the past year and it’s always the same- chicken is not edible. Crab Rangoons were amazing though and the Egg roll was fine.
Fantastic service & great food! We ordered from door dash & asked for a couple of the dishes to be made very spicy. Also, I needed gluten-free accommodations. They went above & and beyond. Everything was spiced as asked for. The Singapore Curry Noodles were flavorful & had a nice kick, even without asking for spice. The chicken wings were great & they even threw in an extra order, and considerately labeled the gluten-free wings. That, along with the extra chili oil for the AWESOMELY LOADED house special fried rice, has us sold as regulars. I look forward to enjoying a dine-in experience & to compliment them in person
Happy Dragon
Today 03/18/25 for lunch around 2pm i ordered take out at the counter. 2 moo goo gai pan combo's, I've eaten here several times with no issues but today i had a piece of hook shaped metal half way through my meal i felt it on my tongue, i figured it was probably from opening a can but didn't finish it just incase. Employees please watch for this as if you were eating the meal.
Came in to order for a large family, asked for individual pints of stuff so we could all split it up, but this is the only Chinese takeout place in the world that don’t offer this. They refused which forces you to spend a ton of extra money and throw out a ton of extra rice. Will never come again and a loss of a regular visiting 11 person family
Dragon City (Formerly First Wok)
My food was NOT hot. It was cool spots mixed warm spots. The sauce was still congealed or gelled because it was colder. Spent $40! for dinner. Disappointed ORDERED AGAIN on 4/9 colder food spots and white rice is watery and mushy! BUT flavors are ok. Not satisfied with rice tasting like instant 1 minute rice mush cold
I have been going here for years. The last couple of times I have been the sauce from sweet and sour chicken has been ice cold. This last time I asked as I was picking up if they could heat up the sauce. I was told no, so I wont go back! What is sad as soon as I got home I got a pan out and heated up the sauce myself. Hope return business is what they don't want, because that is what they got.
China Dragon
Today, I decided to try China Dragon for lunch, a local spot for Chinese takeout in Louisville, KY. I ordered delivery, and the experience was fairly straightforward. The food had the right balance of sweet and spicy, although it leaned more toward the sweet side, which might not be everyone's preference but worked for me. The chicken pieces were crispy on the outside but tender inside, just the way I like it. The fried rice was flavorful, with a decent mix of veggies and egg, and not overly greasy. The egg rolls were crunchy and packed with vegetables, making for a satisfying bite. One small downside was the portion size of the chicken—it was good, but I would have liked a bit more meat for the price. Overall,
In the Southwest Louisville Area and needed some lunch. China Dragon did NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Wonderful Chinese food. 😊😊😊🤣
Double Dragon II
It’s been a couple of months since I last ordered food from here and I remembered enjoying the food so I ordered again tonight. I don’t know what happened but the food is terrible now. The chicken with mixed vegetables barely had any sauce but was slimy without much flavor. My partner’s bourbon chicken was dry and chewy and had way more vegetables than chicken. The cook is messing up and needs some help.
Food was very good, very tasty, not too salty, very good flavor. I called in my order but they were still working on it when I arrived, but I was just right across the street at KY Truck Plant, so I didn't have far to travel. The dumplings were very good and my husband enjoyed the noodles, it's the first time I've ordered noodles. Convenient location right around the corner from Kroger on Lagrange Rd. Everyone in the restaurant was very friendly and courteous.
Chong Garden
Got $50 worth of takeout. General Tsos chicken is cold, chewy, doesnt taste like General Tso. Its not spicy, breading is soggy. “Hibachi chicken and shrimp” looks like it came out of the microwave and has some clearish-brown mystery liquid on it. I ordered a Hong Kong roll. Its a tiny piece of tempura shrimp wrapped in about 2” solid of white rice, topped with spicy crab. $15 roll with about $0.50 cents worth of ingredients. The fried rice i had to pay extra for is not done all the way, and tastes nothing like fried rice Ive had anywhere else in my life. This place aint worth the effort it takes to open their door.
I used to eat here all the time... For the first time ever I bought my daughter Chinese food when I got mine. Luckily she stopped eating after a couple bites... I got food poisoning!!! I do not use soy sauce... The color of this chicken is literally how it came... Will never eat there again!!!
Joy Luck Restaurant(Port Hadlock)
It's a little hole in the wall but the food is good. They are a little heavy on the garlic but I like garlic so I don't mind. It's not great food but you get plenty of it. The meat is a bit tough, the ingredients don't strike me as especially fresh or of the best quality either. I don't know what it is about the food but I like it. The almond chicken is fantastic, the Mongolian beef is tough meat with a ton of onions, so there's both good and not so good. They prefer cash as payment method and will remind you on the phone to bring cash. They do take cards but they do it begrudgingly.
Walked to this place for a quick bite, got the almond fried chicken, it was ok, the portion was huge. I'll try something else next time I visit. Nice people run the joint
Shanghai Chinese Restaurant
Another fantastic experience at Shanghai! I got the Special with halibut. Cooked to perfection. Everything tasted so good. Great family owned and run business. Get in there - out at Point Hudson. Delicious!!✨
Cute restaurant on the water with an excellent beach view. The couple that run the place are adorable. Super friendly. The food’s great; classic American Chinese. The potstickers are homemade and delicious, and the fried oysters were excellent as well.
Four Seasons
We just happened to stumble upon this cozy little restaurant on a vacation weekend to Port Townsend about 2 years ago and now we take pilgrimages from around Olympia every few months just to order food here. That’s right, no other purpose, just drive 2 hours to get this food. We bring a cooler so we can take it all the way home and freeze portions to eat when we’re just craving amazing Chinese food. The chicken dishes are sooooo crispy and seasoned to perfection. The flavor of their rice is just as perfect as well. The service is awesome. Very kind and personable people. The portion sizes are more than large enough for anyone. The atmosphere is quiet, cozy and warm. At a risk of sounding cheeky, I challenge you to do yourself and your palate a flavor and take your own journey to Port Townsend to experience this hidden gem of the PNW. ***The picture I put on here was after the food had traveled a long distance in a cooler as I’m standing over it and trying to not eat it all.
The best Chinese food that I've eaten in a long while. In addition, the environment is welcoming, and the staff are all family members who make you feel at home the second you enter the restaurant. Four Seasons is a must-eat dining experience, and easily the best Chinese food in Port Townsend and beyond. Highly recommended!
Great Peking
The owner is a super nice guy got lots of jokes. Don’t go in there. If you can’t handle no jokes he’s hilarious. Really amazing guy but the food the food is even better. The food is 100% 10 out of 10. The general TSo chicken is the best I’ve ever had. They make it there fresh with real ingredients. It’s not like that premade stuff all the other Chinese restaurant serve. That goes for all their food. And the rice the fried rice is the best fried rice I’ve had outside of St. Louis city. And even better than almost all the places I’ve had in St. Louis city. Fried rice is amazing too . All in all this place is 10 out of 10. You should try it. Sometimes it’s wait though.
Awesome food! We tried the food for the first time the other day and were impressed with the quality and great value you get. Portion sizes were huge. Service was fast and the owner was nice and personable. Highly recommend the Mongolian beef!
China Wok
The best Chinese food I have had in a long time! Everything was good, fresh and delicious. The chicken was good in all the dishes (lo mein, sesame chicken & sweet sour chicken) Crab Rangoon was handmade crispy perfection. Can’t wait to go back
Great food. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Easy to find. We ordered to go, the food was hot and delicious once we got it home! We will be back!
