Golden Buddha
First time here and it was soo good!! Service was good! My general Tso’s chicken was nice and hot!! Will be back.
We were there last night and I was disappointed. I got the pineapple chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken was flavorless and the other flavors (pineapple, green pepper, red pepper, and some sort of sauce) seemed to be muted, which was weird. The rice was more like steamed rice rather than fried. At first I was confused at the chicken having no flavor despite there being plenty of the other ingredients in with it but after a few more bites I had to struggle to finish it. We had gone there with friends who love the place and I didn't want to hurt their feelings since they had really talked it up to us. They had only ever tried the special fried rice so they had no idea how anything else tasted. Plus, I found out later while eating, they've never had Chinese anywhere else so they have nothing to compare it to. The egg roll and fortune cookies were good. The rice was OK but I was expecting fried not steamed rice. We only got two fortune cookies though and there were four of us. I went up to the counter shortly after getting our drinks to ask for straws and stood there to see how long it'd take the two ladies to notice me. One had her back turned away from the front counter and both of them were completely absorbed in their phones. I got tired of waiting and got their attention. One of them initially tried to argue with me that they had given me straws and acted like they weren't going to give me any until the second lady said she hadn't put any straws on the food tray. Very strange to have such a to-do with a customer asking for two straws. One of our friends wanted a drink refill and paid a dollar for it. Not used to paying for refills here in America so I thought it odd. I've eaten better Chinese at mall food courts. Not interested in going back.
Chung King Palace
Nice little Chinese restaurant downtown. Their food is great and the employees are friendly. They usually have your order ready in ten minutes or less. They keep it clean. My favorite Chinese restaurant downtown. The pork fried rice I ordered there today was delicious.
While the location is a little strange and out of the way, it is worth a visit if you like American Chinese food. While the decor is dated, it feels like a Chinese restaurant and the staff are good. The crab rangoons were sweet, which I found a little off-putting but did have actual meat in them, which I liked. The lemon chicken was good, Overall, a worthwhile experience. 4.5 rounded up to 5 for Google.

We had to pay $14 for ramen that turned out to be just regular noodles, and the taste was absolutely terrible. When we complained, the cashier insisted it was ramen, but it was very clear that it was just regular noodles. I also ordered a spicy shoyu ramen for $10, and even that wasn’t spicy. I had to ask the cashier, and only then did they give me the spice separately. I’ve eaten ramen at many other restaurants, but this is the first time I’ve encountered such an odd version. It tasted like simple miso soup, which usually costs only $4, with regular noodles and some pork added, but I had to pay $14—more than the shoyu ramen, which actually used proper ramen noodles. This was extremely disappointing, and I will not return to this restaurant.
I usually order a large plain lo mein for $7.50 and egg rolls for $2.35 and I also sometimes buy the $7.50 fried dumplings. So I know my total is usually the same. Less than $20-$21. And I ordered my routine and I was given a higher total but I picked up the menu and assumed the prices went up. I get into the car and search my bag and I’m missing food. I was given the huge family size lo mein for $10.50 and my egg roll was missing. My total was over $24 when it’s usually $19-$20. I don’t get how $22.65 leads to $24 and a lot of change but the cashier was slay and didn’t give me a receipt. I can assume there was an error or that the cashier thought I said “family size” and not a large. But the missing egg roll, the high taxes and the fact that he didn’t give me a receipt after I ordered and after I picked up food is a red flag. The food isn’t bad at all though it’s not the best Chinese food or fried rice and seasame chicken. The noodles, veggie egg rolls and veggie dumplings are good. ALWAYS get a receipt and I had to go back in and ask for a missing egg roll.

Food was quick. Parking was easy. The price was good. The food is so-so. I did enjoy that the orange chicken sauce was very "orangey". The lo mien needed a lot of soy sauce and the chicken was okay quality. Decent for price, but nothing amazing.
Nice little eating spot. Clean, good food. Crab ragoons are awesome. Highly recommend

You are a True Louisville Asset Bless you & yours Hearts.
FYI when you go and get the buffet make sure you pay cash. If you use your debit/credit card they charge you an additional 3 dollars to use a card. They do not tell you about the additional charge and there is no info hanging up about the charge. I know it’s 3 dollars but if I wanted to pay $16 for food I could have went to a bigger buffet. Check your bank accounts.

Went by from church on the way home. It was takeout. It was really fast. The service was great and the food was great. Not as good of a deal as it use to be. It was just under $10 for the lunch special. I got Chicken with broccoli. It came with an egg roll.
Service good. Food very bad. The fried rice, sweet sour chicken, egg roll, fried pot stickers all tasted like they came from the same grease fryer. I have eaten there off and on for years. My only guess is they have changed owners or managers. Will never go back.
Asian Pot
Best Egg Drop Soup I have had in a decade! Best comfort food when sick. Everything in our order was perfect. We had it delivered, our order was well packaged and still hot.
We have dined at countless Asian restaurants and have high standards for Chinese cuisine. Everything here is amazing and it really shocked me. The flavors are also excellent.
Sichuan House
Amazing food! They have an extensive menu with Sichuan cuisine and classic American-Chinese favorites. I had the orange chicken and my wife had the pork in garlic sauce. Both were fantastic. We also had the dumplings with chili oil, which was also really tasty. The service was fast and friendly. Very clean and inviting space.
We stopped in for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. The small building is tucked between a strip mall and a vet office. The inside is tastefully done and very clean! "A' rating from the health dept. These folks serve authentic Sichuan dishes and "American" Chinese food so there is something for everyone. The Sichuan dishes have the heat/spicy of the region. Also a variety of meats and vegetables. The server and owner were very helpful describing dishes. If you are up for something besides the typical Chinese food try Sichuan House!
Max Orient
First time trying this establishment and thought it would be pretty good as the line was from the start to the end of the food court aisle. I ordered the bourbon chicken and fried rice. The meal started out pretty good, rice was bland but fresh as was the chicken. As I finished a small portion of the chicken at the bottom of my container there was something white which I initially assumed was egg whites from the rice. As I picked it up I noticed it was a small piece of already chewed gum. Disgusted and immediately sick to my stomach I spit everything I had just eaten into a napkin. Returned to the register and requested to speak with the manager in which an older gentleman approached and I explained to him what was found in my meal and he examined it and asked well what can I do for you? I said well, I can't eat it. He asked if I wanted my money back in which I agreed of course. There was not even an apology, and even the look of anger that he had to return my money. Well sir, think of how I felt knowing I had just eaten chicken with someone's gum and saliva soaking in the same sauce. I will NEVER eat here again, and will caution any and everyone to check their food from here and any establishment thoroughly.
This place will probably outlast the apocalypse. Jefferson Mall would not still be in operation if not for this establishment. There is almost always a line of people. Even with their prices rising over the years, it's still a better deal quantity wise than any fast food around the area. The only negative is that it's in the food court, so you never know the number of people that will be around.
China 1
I ordered a chicken fried rice, the chicken must of ran out of there because it was onions and yellow rice. I took a good look at the pics in the reviews to see if I was tripping about the chicken fried rice I just bought, and lord behold I was not tripping! I will never it from CHINA!
I ordered two pork egg rolls and one shrimp egg roll. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ORDERING Any egg rolls from this location. The egg roll was mostly dough and no meant was present in the pork egg roll. The shrimp egg roll had maybe two small shrimp inside but the pork was missing pork entirely. I called the location after I left and voiced my complaint on the missing meat from the pork egg roll and they offered a refund. I declined a refund and respectfully ask for them to use meat in their meat egg rolls. I wasted my money and will never visit this location in the future. This was my first and last time visiting this location. I should’ve known not to buy anything when they didn’t have any customers.
Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant
We have been getting our food from here for several years, and we love them!!! Their corn nuggets are to die for… and my very picky eater loves their sweet and sour chicken!! Their lo mein is perfect as well, not too much sauce but not dry either. They are very friendly and fast with service!! Would recommend them to anyone hands down anytime… took us trying and failing several times to find the perfect Chinese restaurant for us and this place is hands down the best to us.
Good and quick service. Food was good and nice portion sizes! I was able to make two meals out of my lunch combo.
Jade Palace Restaurant
The buffet is good! The only downside is it’s very small with not a lot of options. They do have fried scallops though which I’ve been searching for at buffets for years and haven’t seen anywhere else recently but here 😊
Wow. We love Chinese food and just tried this for the first time. We rarely do a buffet but tried this one and it was delicious. Every item wectried was great. Typically, a buffet is like a mediocre version of the menu items. These were fantastic . The black pepper chicken, pot stickers, spicy shrimp, and crab Rangoon were top notch. We look forward to trying the Dim Sum next. Great spot for great food.
