Little China Express
Day time cook is great! Night time cook has no business cooking. Day time person really great guy, night time person real witch! The food I ordered Friday evening was not good at all, very flavorless. Day time cook, best flavor you can get!
I’m giving 3 stars because the people were so kind really great service at the takeout stand, and I hate to write this type of review but every item I got tonight just tasted and smelled … old … like 3 day leftover Chinese in the fridge old. idk how else to describe it I don’t have the highest expectations but It just wasn’t very appetizing. Maybe just a bad day.
Empire Chinese Kitchen
This was excellent. The staff were pleasant but also unobtrusive. We met with friends that hadn't seen in a while and needed to catch up. Didn't feel rushed. Food was excellent. Peking duck buns were delicious. I'd never had soup dumplings and was amazed by the perfect temperature and flavor. The green beans were so tasty! I only wish we had ordered the bacon fried rice ..next time!
A very hip spot for quite delicious Chinese fare. We tried a few dishes, all nicely executed with authentic flavor and flare while pleasing to the American palate. The plate arrangement suits solo or couples' portions, unlike old school setups, where food is meant to be shared by many off large oval plates. Empire serves up elevated home-style creations with matching technique and subtle spice blends that make them memorable and reminiscent of grandma's cooking. The food is truly delightful! Service is attentive, mindful and respectful. The space is well-appointed with personal touches everywhere that make you feel welcome and like you're dining in someone's home. Long live the Empire!

All our guests loved the delicious food and festive location to commemorate a special occasion!!
I have lived in Portland my entire life and had never been here. We came in and decided to dine in. The resturant is so nice and well decorated. The bar area is beautiful. The service was fantastic, and the food was phenomenal. The portions are also very large, it was nice to have left overs for lunch the next day. Will definitely be back!
Fortune Cookie
Will never visit this place again. Paid $13 for hunan chicken, got a small container with 3 pieces of chicken. Also got fried wonton, they were so hard you couldn’t even eat them. When called they could care less. Wasn’t about to drive another hour round trip. Lesson learned. Also prices for the quality of food is extremely high.
This is my Husband and I's go to for Chinese food since the last place had bugs... Fortune Cookie is always amazing! Just try to refrain from ordering on Christmas Eve or New Years.. you'll be on hold for over 5 minutes with orders being placed in the background but no answer on the other line..
China Gray
I’ve eaten at this establishment twice. The service is nothing to write home about, but you wont have a long wait. The first time i ordered although I wasn’t overjoyed with the meal at least i received the quantity of for which i paid. Last night i stopped after work and ordered the beef and broccoli and 2 spring rolls This was a colossal waste of $30 (including tip) I received a huge pan of broccoli with a very flavorful sauce and approximately 6 small pieces of beef strategically placed on top of the broccoli.
Food is good great portion, GREAT price. Only thing is to much batter on chicken finger. But, very good food worth the buy😃
China Village
The food is clean and made of whole ingredients, and the portions are good - it just lacks the flavor I love. It does not taste bad, but it doesn't wake your taste buds up and make you want more. Service was great and the atmosphere was functional.
Great Chinese food, the pork fried rice has a ton of pork and it's not all fatty. Chicken fingers are great, and the lobster sauce is to die for! There's a TON of shrimp in it, so good! Their hot mustard is the best I've ever had, and it's SUPER HOT! The server was very friendly and they are quick! Cocktails are great too!
China Taste
Well , after driving 7hours wanted some good food I don’t really wanted Chinese food but I made big mistake going to this place food and service is terrible terrible food has a lot sure and quality is terrible No good at wasted my money and time! Stay away from this restaurant!!
Called for take out, person on the phone was very abrupt, almoat rude. Food was overcooked, tasted abnormal and didn't come with any soy sauce or duck sauce that normally comes with the meal. The taste was so weird I couldn't finish the meal.
Asian Garden
Very good Chinese food, especially for the fair prices. Spicy food wasn't as spicy as I would have thought, coming from a white guy. The music was poor and made a clash with the decorations. I've mainly gone here to take out but only recently went inside with one of my friends. I suggest take out personally, good food, fast preparation
Ohh no, what happened to you guys? We've enjoyed our experience and food in the past. Our order of General Taos chicken tonight was terrible. Chicken was dry and stringy. The sauce was a strange overly sweet flavor - it tasted like artificial sweetener. Hubby said that ordering was difficult and the person was grumpy at pickup. A miss on all counts.
Jade Cafe
Friendly staff within a convenient location. I loved the orange chicken! I'm used to crispier versions, but this is definitely my favorite on the saucy/juicier side with some rice.
The food sucked. The price on the menu and the price on the receipt were different. The service sucked. The bathroom was an absolute dump. The only good thing is is they have these really cool airplane models on top of their buffet station which was closed by the way
Taipei Chinese Kitchen
It continues to puzzle me why this area is so lacking good Chinese food. I mean can we have 10% of what we get in Edison NJ or 1% from Chinatown? By and large, we get only Americanized Chinese food here. When I saw "Taipei" in this name, I was so excited because I normally associate "Taipei" with Taiwanese cuisine, nothing to do with Americanized Chinese food. Then I saw it's within the Giant Supermarket so my hope dropped. I read the online menu. Yep, all Americanized dishes. Nevertheless, I made an order anyway because my son was really fussing for fried rice and lo mein. Upon further research, it turns out this is only 1 of the 5 locations in the Harrisburg area, plus 4 more further away. I found the stall inside Giant. It doesn't really stand out as a separate establishment but one of the 3 counters behind the prepared food department ("Meals & Sides") within the supermarket. There are cooked dishes displayed under the counter just like Panda Express. So technically, you don't have to order online but just order on the spot and get your food right away. I had an opportunity to chat with the staff as it wasn't busy at the time. They were quite friendly and even offered me a couple of complimentary Chinese donuts. The food was on par with what I expected for American Chinese dishes, but the serving size was rather generous. For that (the value), the friendliness of its staff, the convenience of its location, and last but not least -- the free donuts, I added one star to my rating. I did grab a copy of their menu and spotted 2 less typical dishes (potentially more authentic kind) that I might want to give a try. So there will be future visits.
Went there for the first time Saturday. The lady take our order was talking on her phone through her ear buds. We had to talk so loud for her to hear us the guys stopped working and watched us while we were there. Made us feel uncomfortable but they said nothing to her about talking on her phone while waiting on customers. The bourbon chicken we got was so dry we couldn't eat it. Please make them aware of how important customer service is. Not a good first experience!
Oriental Restaurant
Worst food I’ve ever had. I literally got one tiny scoop of rice, the food is so greasy i at very little of it. They put dumpling sauce under the dumplings instead of putting it in a separate container. The grease you see here is after I dumped it out, so my food wasn’t getting saturated in it. I’ve been to many many Chinese restaurants and I’ve never gotten Such a small amount of rice with a combo plate. The chicken finger was dry and saturated in grease, as was the Rangoon. I will never return.
A long standing top quality eatery. Nicely prepared. I love the Filipino food also. One consideration if you have sodium sensitivity - the Filipino dishes, particularly the adobo, tends to be on the saltier side. Thanks for being open and serving lovely food for all of these years!
Sichuan Kitchen
I was here for dinner, walking in, it’s a nice little restaurant. The interior decor and design is great. I had the spicy dumplings for starter which was so delicious. Then I ordered the spicy pork noodles, they never asked me about the spice level so I assumed it would be what most can eat. The food came out extremely spicy, I tried one bite and knew there was no way I could eat it. They were generous enough to make my food again on a milder spice level but please make sure you specify how spicy you want your food. The heat is real. Besides that, I had a good experience here and I might be back to try more menu items.
This place blew me away. I wasn't expecting to have such bright bursts of complex Szechuan cuisine but every bite was an eyes widening head nodding "ooohhh yeah!!!" Tian shui noodles were the perfect way to start off. The sweet and sour cabbage was a sleeper agent. Really flavorful and cooked just right- some crunch but also soft enough. The double cooked pork was so tender. The xiao long bao also tasted so fresh. Everything was spicy and flavorful and unique. without all tasting the same. The menu had so many authentic options that I can't wait to try. Such kind calm service and peaceful atmosphere.
