China King
Made a large order over the phone, the guy was super quick and repeated everything back correctly. Food was done quick and YUMMY as always. I’ve been getting takeout from here with my family for over 10 years. Highly recommend
My husband and I are new to Pottsville, Pa and having moved here from Newark,Nj's Ironbound district, our biggest dilemma has been finding the best takeout. We've struggled with the usual Fast food, Italian, Mexican and forget about finding Caribbean food! But... our Chinese food needs are totally satisfied by China King! We've tried 3 to 6 different menu options and have nothing but great things to say! Delish, delish, delish! My fave, Singapore Chow Mei fun is fantastic. Their pork fried rice tastes like real pork. Their shrimp rolls and crab Rangoon are not greasy. Serving size is adequate and their pricing is fair considering you can feed 2 on what you would spend for one chicken chelupa and a soda at T.B.! Now if they could just recomend great Portuguese and Puerto Rican restaurants!!!!! :)
New China
This has the best General Tso's chicken in the county. Growing up in NJ I ate a lot of good Chinese food. But now, after living in Schuylkill county, PA for 14 years I have been continually disappointed with underwhelming Chinese food. That is, until I ate at this place. It's really pretty great and more like what I was used to in NJ. The location itself is very worn and weathered but do not let that turn you off. It is worth trying! The people that work there are nice too!
My boyfriend and I tried this place on a whim and I just have to say it was the best decision ever! The food is always freshly cooked and ready to go when we arrive. The prices are extremely fair. The food is homemade and made with passion. The building is a little run down, but most authentic, and true food owners have that as well!
China Ruby
I’ve been living in the area for about five years now and the food used to be really good. My debit card got charged twice and they refused to give me a refund. I had to go through my bank in order to get it so I left them alone for about a year And decided to order something again don’t ask me why I was hungry and I wanted some Chinese food. I ordered barbecued ribs on the bone shrimp fried rice and chicken fingers and what they sent me as far as the ribs and rice was fine but the chicken fingers were chopped pieces of chicken dipped in batter. It was horrible, and then the driver Had given me a receipt with a 20% tip on it which took my bill from $29-$35 and was very angry when I told him no because they’re literally around the corner from me. I will never order from this place ever again. The quality of the food has gone down. If I could give them no stars, I would😡
The counter person was very nice and friendly and the food is very good. The wonton has lots of meet compared to most local places and flavor. The cheese steak Eggrolls are delicious and the peppered steak isn’t super chewy.
Szechuan Gourmet 川味坊
Ever since the new Szechuan gourmet launched, everything’s leveled to an unbelievably authentic Szechuan food, highly appreciated by people coming from Szechuan. I personally visit this place regularly now, nothing that I ever ordered I would dislike. They are the only authentic Szechuan restaurant, I’m confident to say, among pretty much all eastern U.S. just simply looking at the way they process their ingredients and material, so descent! Now you feel no worry to order things like pork feet, pork kidney and liver, as they cleaned them quite nicely that you won’t smell or taste anything funny.
I was craving authentic Sichuan food that reminded me of my hometown, and this place came up as the closest option in my search. The photos looked amazing, so I decided to give it a try. Parking was a bit tight, but that’s understandable for Northeast Philly. I really enjoyed the dry pot fish I ordered. The glutinous rice cake was a pleasant surprise—I didn’t expect to find a dish from my childhood memories here. Both my husband and kids loved the food and are already asking to go back in the future.
KRISPY FRY EXPRESS
Lovely family-run Asian establishment in the northeast. I came in for a burger, and got one of the best ones I've had in a while. Lot of meat, good flavor, came with a good amount of crispy fries and a drink with the combo. I recommend you stop by Krispy Fry Express if you're in the area, as I enjoyed this one more than a certain other spot nearby which was actually more skimpy with their portions at a higher price. And I just put the soda in the box for the photo, they put it on the side of course 😉👌
Food is great. Very fresh. Good prices Very good people. I got the salmon and shrimp combo. 🔥
China city Restaurants
the food is actually really good i’m not gonna lie. this is my 4th tim going and I FIND 2 PIECES OF HAIR IN MY FOOD ??? DISGUSTING IM NOT GOING BACK !!!
I order shrimp, fried rice and shrimps in the basket. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. It’s the best in the area is the best I ever had since I’ve been living here.
Szechuan Garden
Grew up in the "burg" and my parents still live there. Definitely the best Chinese take-out spot in the neighborhood and one of the best ones, in my opinion, in the city. The food is consistent, fairly priced, arrives on time, and the order is always correct. Nothing "special" or "fancy" about the place/food - just your classic Chinese-American fare - but if you're jonesing for those typical dishes like General Tso's chicken, beef and broccoli, etc. this place will satisfy that fix.
We order here all the time. Foods always great, staff is always friendly, They are great neigbors and prices aint bad either
Super Garden
Never got sick never been disturbed lol the food is good and hot but keep in mind I only always get wings and shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce but either way it's good yall for them 2 items I'm not sure about any others
Very good food, nice and clean place. Friendly nice people working there. I have been a customer for 15 years, I move to another area but still come back here, is the only Chinese food place that I like.
New China Chinese & American Food
Typical Corner Store Chinese Food Nothing Fancy Or Special. Pork Fried Rice 7/10 Not The Best I Had, But Definitely Not The Worst. The Rice Lacked Pork & MSG Chicken Wings 8.8/10 They Were Delicious.
They refried the fried chicken. Shrimp rice was skimpy, will not be going back here
Kam Bo
All I can say is if you really ate here, you'll know the food is fresh. You can see from the counter that they are cooking fresh food - using fresh ingredients. We are from out of town and this is good food - it's our go to place for tasty Chinese food. I had the General Tso Chicken and it was delicious with bright, crisp broccoli. I have never had a problem with anything i have ordered. We also received two egg rolls free because they give you an appetizer free when you spend a predetermined amount. The ribs were tangy and the fried rice was good too. No frozen food here like someone wrote.
After 30 orders WAS our go to but someone must have died or changed names as the order we just got was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever gotten and I’ve lived in 12 states. Absolutely garbage. Noodles were dried up. Entries were frozen in plastic I’m guessing they sold us someone’s old order but will be the last time. Sad I liked this place they used to have the best beef chow mein. $85 order Waste of a $20 tip. On to Wysox Chinese….. .
The Great Wall
Just a small town buffet. If your looking for fast and warm food for a cheap price, than the Great Wall is the place to go. I guess I am spoiled with bigger city buffet.
I’m impressed. The food is delicious and there’s a big selection of items and lots of meats which is surprising because it’s all you can eat and for less than $10, quite frankly I don’t know how they do it. They also have a lot of desserts and delicious tea which tastes great as well. The restaurant is clean, the staff is nice and the atmosphere is better than I expected. There’s no other place that comes close in this price range, it’s unbelievable they can provide this at this price. Five stars
Lucky Star
I always love Lucky Star, food is good and they give you a LOT of it. Ordering online I've heard people have had issues but I personally never have, usually you just show up like 25 minutes after you order and give them the last 4 of your phone number and it's either ready or very close. Love these guys.
Skip Wellsboro’s Chinese restaurant for this one. It is worth the 15-20 min drive. The portions are big, the flavours are authentic yet not too salty. The broccoli is cooked to perfection, and the shrimps are very large. My only complaint is that they use too much oil on the garlic sauce, and they need to add more vegetables to the Singapore Mei Fun.
