Came in for takeout and there was no one inside eating . Lady at the counter was really nice and my food maybe took 15 minutes got a lunch special and it only cost a little bit over $10. Not bad for the amount of food I got. Said it was supposed to be spicy and it wasn't to me, but still was good :)

Extensive menu with all the oldies but goodies and also snazzy specials. The egg rolls are very large with a crispy exterior and soft flavorful inside. Veggies and meat are all super fresh and portion sizes are very generous. Two people could easily share one meal (just add two egg rolls : ) Fortune Cookies actually have great fortuans, not the silly ones. I would give Hunan King 4.5 stars if I could. My only critiques is the ambiance inside that can use a spruce up and the prices went up considerably over the years. Their lunch menu is available until 3 pm and offers a lower rate than the dinner menu does, if you are looking for a deal.

We picked up an entree to share and were definitely satisfied. It's pricier than what I normally go for but the portion justifies it; one person could probably get two or three meals out of it. And a hearty amount of sauce meant I had some leftovers to cook with later in the week. My main quibble is that the sesame chicken's breading did not stand up to that much sauce on the ride home, so it wasn't contributing much to the taste or texture.

I regret to leave a 3 star review, the service was awesome. So kind and helpful and on top of everything. The atmosphere is rather dated but okay. My husband and I cook, a lot, we love to cook all types of food from around the world. The food here was very mediocre and extremely over priced for the quality. The sushi was good and I would go back just for sushi. The Mongolian beef was lackluster and the meat was gelatinous. It should have spices, flavors and crispness. It should excite your taste buds. The other meal was on the Taiwanese menu, shrimp and tofu pot with glass noodles. We use glass noodles atleast once a month so we were pretty excited to have them out. The flavors were OK, everything was cooked perfectly but needed something.

We had an absolutely incredible experience! The staff is some of the nicest and friendliest people ever. They really go out of their way to provide hospitality and great atmosphere! My family and I stopped in for a quick dinner! They were so patient with my kids! We got 2 orders of chicken and broccoli to split and I got a brown sugar bubble tea! Both were completely finished! Definitely will be going back to try a lot of their appetizers! Because they looked so good!!

It is wild that in this unassuming strip mall off of McKnight Road sits a James Beard-nominated Sichuan restaurant. Chengdu Gourmet has multiple menus of offerings, which range from authentic Sichuan to dim sum to homemade noodles to a more American take on Chinese. We both ordered from the authentic menu, and the pork belly dish and my green beans and eggplant vegetarian dish couldn’t have been better. The cucumber salad appetizer we ordered was so fresh and the sauce was delightful. We had wonderful milk and fruit teas (so much real fruit in my tea), and I took a sweet-and-sour chicken from the American Chinese menu to go that lasted the recipient for three meals. Everything is prepared with such care and served really beautifully. They were very focused on making sure every diner had the best possible experience; there was so clearly a great deal of pride in the restaurant and its food. One small thing that isn’t my favorite but may entice other diners, there are live lobster tanks at the back of the restaurant from which I believe you can order fresh lobster. I’m told the chef here is well known in the Sichuan culinary community. I am from the South Hills, opposite the North Hills location of this restaurant, and will happily cross rivers/bridges to visit here again. This place is legit!

Good experience with every visit. Only rated four instead of five stars because entree came out too fast and walnuts were a bit singed. Otherwise though everything was and is always great. Friendly staff, happy customers, relaxed environment. Shrimp with walnuts and avocado salad were great (photos). My husband enjoyed his wonton soup, egg roll, and lo mean noodles with shrimp. He ordered more food to bring home for the weekend.

Everything about Jimmy Wan’s is craveable! From the consistently amazing food, to the friendly and attentive staff! The new wine selection has been great as well. If this isn’t in your weekly dinner routine, you’re doing it wrong!

Low Mein LOADED wit SHRIMP!! For Owner to give this many GOTTA PULL EM OUTTA the Monongalia River!! Another post Raved bout the Lo Main. SPOT ON MAINE!! Thinner noodle w meaty taster!!

Called near close and got hot and fresh togo food that was delicious. My meal was excellent, and the woman who cooked and served it up was efficient and friendly. Only gave atmosphere a 3 because it's a mainly take out spot as there's only like 4 tables in the tiny "dining room" that's more suited for a quick lunch while you're at the laundromat or something along those lines.

The last 2 times we got food here we didn’t eat it. It had a weird taste the first time I thought something was up with the grill cleaning so we tried again a few months later and sadly did not eat the food we got here. For the same reason.

Delicious food. Fast turnaround. Excellent service. No complaints here, and truthfully overjoyed that they've been open when everything else is closed on Mondays. Adore them to bits, and they deserve the business they earn.

Chan Ann definitely isn’t a place you’d want to dine in—the atmosphere isn’t inviting at all. There weren’t many food options in the area, so I figured I’d give it a shot since it’s Chinese food. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t good, and after just a couple of bites, it made my stomach hurt. The service was exactly what you’d expect from a typical hole-in-the-wall Chinese spot—nothing special. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it.

So sad. We moved here four years ago and for two years this place was THE BEST! Now the dumplings are heated in a microwave. Theyre so rubbery and the generals chicken is mostly fried filler. Used to love this place but something went wrong.

BEST sweet and sour chicken. They make it extra crunchy so not only is it a delight to eat when you order it, if you have leftovers, the batter stays crunchy! Fast and friendly, as well.

there is nothing HUNAN BEEF about this at all. 2 pieces of beef and all those mushrooms and zucchini? did you think it would be unnoticed? where are the peppers? and most importantly, where's the beef? you guys are horrible

THE BEST CHINESE FOOD EVER! My food came super hot, was very delicious. They give you so much.. I ordered the orange chicken, Crab Rangoon's, veggie fried rice and a shrimp egg roll. It was definitely enough for 2 people with leftovers for the next day. The delivery came early and the food came piping hot and SO delicious. It also didn't hurt my tummy after, like some Chinese places do. I felt amazing after I ate here and also heard from an inside source that they have one of the cleanest well - kept kitchens in town! Which is also a plus to know... keep up the great work, great food and great service!! We will be back!

When me and my mother order from here, I love the food and I love the that lo pork mein they make. I also like how the delivery is it’s fast and it’s easy.

Best Mandarine restaurant in Pittsburgh. Every menu is high quality and satisfactory size. I always take leftovers home. That is inevitable unless you go with 3+ hungry guys!!

I wanted to try a different Chinese food in Uptown so I decided to try Jade Grille. I ordered the Beef and Broccoli and my son ordered the General Tsos Chicken. The spices were perfect for the General Tsos Chicken and the chicken was the perfect crispy consistency. The Beef and Broccoli was cooked perfect as well and I loved the flavor of the Beef and Broccoli. The server was super friendly and quick. She was very sweet and knew that we had to eat quickly before my sons basketball game. The restaurant had plenty of seating and I thought it was cool that it used to be a bank and there was a private room within the vault of the old bank.

overall, a really nice dinner & recommend checking out for yourself. food arrived quickly, well portioned for cost and satisfying enough to take home the leftover shrimp glazing to warm up and eat over rice 😋 seems to be a popular place on a Saturday evening for dinner, yet only waited 15 minutes to be seated without a reservation, and had quality service from an experienced server who was swift and attentive. seating was comfortable, restrooms clean.

We really enjoyed our time here. The atmosphere, service, and food were excellent. Everything we had couldn't have been better. I have tried Kung pao chicken many places, and by far, this is the best I've ever had. I would definitely be open to taking the drive to go back it's worth it!
