I ordered plant-based orange chicken and didn't realize I ate actual chicken meat until half way through. Please pay attention, these things can not only really emotionally upset someone but cause actual physical pain, discomfort and sickness.

Pretty good Chinese food for the quantity and price!

I used to come here years ago and they had a slightly different menu so I got a hand pulled noodle with fatty beef this time. The soup still tastes the same and the noodles and beef were delicious. It’s extremely authentic and the food is as good as I remember. The restaurant is a little dingy and can turn some people away but I think it’s because the owner/chef is focused on cooking good food. The service was polite and they even offered me a free soda. Missed this place from my college days!

It is called Xi An Grill or sth. The amount of the food is really small. The price is not good, especially with the quantity. The college boy beside of me said to his friend - he needs extra 2 times to be full. That day I went to the Big Bowl, but I forgot it was closed on each Tuesday. So I just didn't want to walk too far and was really regret. The beef noodle with the soup. The meat has so many tendon or fat. It was not my first time, but it will be my last time.

Decently priced, decent food. Would go again!

Called in an order for pick up it was a plain lo main and plain fried rice I asked if they’d put broccoli in both dishes tossed in the same sauce. I get there go walk to the door there’s a guy passed out in the chair the lady asked me my order I got it there was 2 soy sauce I asked for some more sauce I like it saucy if I need to pay for more I could have. She gave me 2 more soy and 2 duck meanwhile this is not just for me it’s feeding 3 everyone need at least 3 sauces for the unsauced lo main noodle I got never ever will I be going back they continue to disappoint. Honestly I’m just taking the picture the noddles look tasty it looks good but it tastes like chemicals straight up chemicals there was hard burnt pieces in my noodles I didn’t even take 3 bites before not being able to stand it anymore.

Delivery came earlier than expected🤗. Food was great as always. And, just for good luck, the electricity was restored a few minutes later so now I Can save my leftovers!

BEST Chinese food around! They price was super good for the portion they give you, and the food was so scrumptious! Will be back!! They have a place to sit.

Overall this was fairly disappointing. I suppose my expectations were too high since I come from a town with several Chinese joints that actually have to compete. Firstly, they are very slow. We stood there while they made our food, and it did not seem busy. They just move at a snail's pace. They told us 25 minutes, which already seemed long, but it ended up being 40. And the food was just not great. The egg drop soup was very gelatinous in texture; the sesame chicken was hard, dry, and tough (I'm not the only reviewer who said this); and the fried rice was dry and bland. I ate a few bites so as to satisfy my hunger and threw the rest away.

We had 1 large shrimp fried rice, 1 small shrimp fried rice and chicken wings. The shrimp fried rice was uneatab, the shrimp was undercooked and chicken wings were awful. Upon getting home we werr quite sick to our stomachs. The lady who waited on us was extremely rude. When asked for napkins etc sge would throw them at you. Very bad attitude and lousy service. $30.00 down the drain. Will never ever eat there again.

Lychee is the best option for takeout chinese food in Johnstown. It is very easy to order online and pickup in 15mins. The vegetable lo mein is great. The general tso tofu, sesame tofu and bean curd home style are my favorite dishes to order on their menu. Food is priced well, and service is nice. Highly recommend.

Worst buffet, I went to. Spent $99 here the food was dry, cold and nasty and when I talked to the restaurant owner he didn’t listen to anything I had to say and walked away and laughed. When they bought the mac & cheese out, it had shredded cheese on top of it and liquid cheese The lo mein has a aftertaste couldn’t even finish the plate

Came here for Xmas dinner. Staff is so pleasant and efficient. Atmosphere is very nice and clean. The food is good, they keep all the buffets clean and stocked. Walnut shrimp is the best! Parking is ample. Very nice place!

Fried rice is good but didn't get the chance to try nothing else. Because once I notice prices on Google is different. And something's don't come with the platters like it say. They just argued me down. When all I was saying is upgrade they menu on Google.

Food is good but you only get 4 shrimp in shrimp fried rice and shrimp lo mien any thing else is extra!!! and the beef lo mien had only a few bits (and i do mean bits) of beef i am going to find me another Chinese store

I was eager to find a go-to Chinese restaurant in the area, as high-quality options are limited. During my visit, I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, and wonton soup. While the sweet and sour chicken was acceptable, it did not stand out in terms of flavor or quality. The rice lacked seasoning, and the vegetable roll was overly greasy and lacked distinct taste. Despite these culinary shortcomings, the restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, which was appreciated. I may return to sample the General Tso's chicken, but my initial expectations for the food were higher.

good

They hardly prepare fresh food and when they do, its very little and they just blend it in with the old food that has been sitting out for hours. The noodles become hard and dry and so does the exterior of the orange chicken. Sometimes they will pour it in top of the old food in hopes of keeping it warm. Furthermore, when you ask for the fresh food that's above the old food, (ex: bourbon chicken or lo mien) they are VERY stingy with it. They give you more old food than fresh. This has happened to me 3x. You're better off going to the Hibachi that's right across from the Harrisburg Mall. It's very disappointing...

Just bought the chicken. It was undercooked. Took it back and they processed to argue with me. They would not refund our money and gave us a dish or rice instead. I paid $11 for subpar fried rice. Pick another place.

I eat this often while at CMU—it’s my go-to. The mouthwatering chicken is super flavorful with the perfect kick. The lunch boxes are great, with good portions and satisfying taste. Definitely one of the best Sichuan takeout spots around.

This is my most visited restaurant during my college life there. Authentic chinese food and has very good quality. The spicy food is brilliant!!

The avocado salad sounded great on the menu, but what I got was nothing like the description. Had some kind of gross spicy mayo and shredded carrot. That's it. Waste of money! I also ordered a bowl special which for the amount of food given was a good price, but it's way oversalted. I ate less than half because of the salt. It's a newer place so hopefully they read reviews and fix what they can. The prices are pretty high for most menu items so I expected much better.

I order lunch special; beef and brócoli with chili oil but the sauce was Sour instead not spicy and did not taste well also very greasy in total. I order the Asian pancakes with peanut sauce and it wasn’t sauce they put peanut butter straight from the bottle is a container all for $7.95 not worth it it was 1 thing pancake also very greasy and no Asian flavor, for last order some fries with salt it wasn’t good at all; all saggy and greasy and no salt and you can tell the frying oil was old cuz the dripping oil was very dark 😖 lost of my $19 dollars
