I ordered from here right before they closed on a Friday night. I got egg drop soup and veggie fried rice with eggs, and I found both to be very good. Very enjoyable, will come back.

Ordered delivery. Timing was on point and the food was amazing. Try the pineapple coconut fried rice!! We had beef with broccoli, lo mein, general Tso, and Chinese donuts and a few others. Everything was so fresh and amazing!!

They have a great deal. Three entrées and choice of rice+noodles just $10.99

Montgomery Mall is a great place to walk in bad weather. I stopped China One for lunch which is in the food court on the second floor near JC Penney. The chicken lo mien portion was enough for 2+ people. The food was fresh and delicious. There are iPhone and electric outlets in the food court.

I got the chicken & garlic sauce dinner combo. There was nothing *wrong* with the food (no bugs, hair, etc.) but it did not taste good at all. The sauce was very oily and bland, and the fried rice tasted like Uncle Ben's with barely any flavor and no egg in it. The service was rude but I gave it 2 stars because they didn't mess up my order.

Very very disappointed. Have eaten here before, but recently the food has gotten really bad. I ordered the lemon chicken and my sister ordered a different chicken order. In both orders, the chicken was very dry and very very tough. Took it home due left overs, and ended up throwing it out. Couldn't even chew it. Won't go back

As a few other reviews noted, this place should have more low ratings. It’s really odd. Anyway we went on a Tuesday evening at 6pm. I was hoping to love this place so I kept an open mind. There was one table of two people, and then my mom and I. Service was fast and attentive and we were sat down immediately. That is where the positives unfortunately end. Started off with water that tasted weird, almost like unfiltered Philly tap but … earthier? There wasn’t any ice, which is fine with me but atypical. At the end of the table was one salt shaker, I reached over to another table to grab some soy sauce. No dumpling sauce or chili oil bottles anywhere in the place. Time to order. This is a dumpling house so why not try the dumplings. First up- the wonton with hot sesame sauce. It was served Luke warm, sitting in a nearly tasteless dark brown liquid drenched in watery peanut butter. Not peanut sauce, literal peanut butter. Definitely not spicy one bit. As you can see by the picture, the two “sauces” were pretty separated and looked very unappetizing. The wontons immediately fell apart and not in the good way. It was boiled far too long. My mother grew up in poverty and couldn’t muster the courage to eat more than one. The taste was like eating pasta with peanut butter. not preferable. I didn’t want to spoil my appetite with it so I waited for the next plate with hope. Next came our Pan fried pork dumplings. I’ve had these plenty places, Im aware of this style with that little skirt underneath. It’s usually a delectable- crunchy bottom with a chewy top. These had that evaporated skirt underneath but the whole thing was incredibly tough. Far far beyond overcooked, and felt previously frozen. The dumpling sauce served with it was quite mild. Still was hoping the next plate would be good. Hot and sour soup was next up, it was surprisingly tasty and resembled plenty of other mid tier take out spots in the area. Portion was a nice size. definitely a solid choice. Lastly was the shumai. And sadly was let down again. They came out soaking wet and insanely hot, no warning from the server. Eh that’s alright it’s cheap. the minced pork had these grey fat sacks hanging off them like parasites. They were very bland and tasted like soggy meatballs- which is not far from the average shumai. For a cheap place, this was very bad. My mom doesn’t really get out much but we both left saying “we’ll that was the worst food I’ve had in a long time”. If you’re into dumplings, definitely go to Trader Joe’s and just heat some up in your skillet at home. No clue how this place has been in business for so long.

In this area, one of the best chinese spots to eat at, my first time I got the fried rice, it made me feel like I been missing out on this for years, and then if you DELIVER off ubereats or doordash, it's the same quality, and not expensive by any means. I usually always get the fried rice for 5-6 dollars depending which one, and it hits that spot everytime. If you have children, and want them to experience Chinese Food for the first time, and you live in the area, This jawn right here gone do what you need, for the perfect price.

We ordered 3 meals, beef with broccoli, sesame chicken and orange chicken. All but the orange chicken turned out ok. It was dry, poorly breaded and GRAY. The sauce that came on the side was sweet and sour, so the only thing orange about this was the couple slices of orange in the package. Wasted $10. I'm still giving 3 stars because the other food was good and overall better than Golden Chopsticks.

I ordered hot and sour soup that tasted old and burnt. The shrimp roll tasted like it frozen and the seafood supreme hand 4 shrimp and nothing else. It was bland and boring and didn't taste like Chinese food. Also I asked for plenty of condiments and 4 sets of chopsticks. There were 2 soy sauces and 2 mustards and no sweet and sour sauces. Also there we no chopsticks.

As somebody else posted, for me the worst Chinese food I ever ate. Egg roll mediocre. Shrimp chow mein was terrible. The shrimp were mushy. How gross. The vegetables in it was mostly onion. The taste was bad. The fried rice was bland and had a fake looking orange color. The spare ribs were dripping with fat and not too meaty. Dry noodles were stale. I thought about going back the next day for a refund but scrapped it. Def will not return.

Just to let it be known since I've had there food n which is alot of times I never had no problem with it. Now the driver is nothing but ignorant, n expects tips everytime he delivers. Just remember not everyone out there especially in these tough times has the extra money to give n this driver expects it every single time. Nothing but ignorant n has no respect for customers.

Went there today 6/27/24 order fried rice and other things for me and guys at work. Found long black hair in our fried rice. the lady who says she is the owner who cooked the food don’t want to remake our food or give me a refund or credit. Instead She says not me not mine and then proceeds to give me attitude and tell me don’t order no more from there.. this is down right disgusting and I will never spend my money here again.

You have to double and triple check with the lady on the phone to confirm she understood what you ordered. Lol, more than once she misheard what I asked for and did not get my order right. The food is alright maybe slightly above average on a good day. Their service is ok and the atmosphere is typical old school local Chinese restaurant. Nothing special here at all. Ya won't be blown away with anything. You should be satisfied if you are sure you've explained your order correctly and have her repeat it.

Fried rice was very good as was the General Tso chicken. The beef in the pepper steak was chewy and had an odd taste so I don't recommend that. The pepper and onion in the pepper steak was good, though. The service was very friendly (middle aged man and young girl). I don't know why other people want to slander this place (autistic cat? Seriously? Grow up.) with their one star reviews. They don't seem credible to me. I would definitely eat there again. Big plate of the general chicken next time.

I wish they told me the dumpings were chicken instead of traditional pork or I wouldn't have ordered them. Had to wait 15 minutes for them and didn't even eat them because I hate chicken dumplings. Also, the coconut chicken sauce was good, but had too much dough and not enough chicken. Pretty disappointed in the overcooked string beans since it's hard to mess them up but the fresher ones were great :) Positives are that this is my favorite chicken and broccoli I've ever had! Not too salty but not bland, the chicken was tender and had great texture; the broccoli wasn't over or under cooked and took the sauce well. The lo mein was also perfect! It was saucy so it wasn't just dry noodles. The chicken terriyaki was tender as well and not saucy but still flavorful. My boyfriend doesn't eat much chinese food but he finished all of their bourbon chicken so that's saying something! Will be back soon!

I bought some General Tso’s chicken with white rice on Saturday March 8. I took it home to eat. The General Tso’s were pretty large pieces so I cut one piece in half. I noticed that I didn’t see any chicken in it. I cut another piece same thing and I cut more and more, there’s no chicken in any of the pieces. I tasted it and it tasted like chicken but of course it wasn’t chicken. It looked like maybe flour had been fried with maybe some chicken flavor added because it looked a little doughy and I felt it between my fingers to feel the texture of it. Really not sure what that was. I went back to Giant to get my money back. The young guy there was nice. I showed him the food that I had cut up and told him this is not chicken. He smiled and gave me my money back. I won’t ever buy any food from them again because this place is passing something off as chicken when it clearly isn’t, so I would wonder what else are they passing off as one thing but is something else.

The best Chinese food in willow Grove as you can see I'm the guy in the picture on the front page and the staff are so awesome to be around and very friendly, I couldn't ask for a better place to work, I love the food ❤️

I order from Happy Star Restaurant every now and again. The food is pretty good. I never had any issues with my orders or mis-understandings unlike some of the other local places. What I like the most is their consistency with food and quality. Portions are decent size too.

I have never had one order from this restaurant where they got the order correct. Every call is met with distain and an explanation why the customer is wrong quickly followed by another explanation that the person who spoke with you was "new". It's always the same person both times. Everything is greasy and over or undercooked. They offer a coupon item if you order a certain amount but it's always "forgotten". I will never order from this place again.

Food doesn't taste good. There are better chinese restaurants.

Really good food. Greatly enjoyed their coconut shrimp and sesame shrimp. Only local Chinese restaurant that does coconut shrimp, and they do it amazingly well. Owner is super friendly and seems like a really good person.

Got food from here today...everything was fine EXCEPT the chicken. After I ate a mouthful, I noticed the more I chewed the more the taste became so very sour. I spit it out becasue the chicken I got wasn't supposed to be sour. Then I took a closer look and noticed the chicken was pink. So the chicken was not only bad but also undercooked. I just hope I don't get food poisoning after this 🤮🤢

I purchased bourbon chicken here in the Willow Grove mall and as the cashier was handing back my credit card, I noticed how disgusting this light switch was on the wall behind the register. If this is in plain view for customers, I can’t even imagine what it looks like where we can’t see.
