Good and always fresh food and excellent service. Even if they do not understand something they try their best to help you and ofcourse you will eat so good. So far the best Chinese food We have in Reading.

3/5/25 I ordered food for my family at 5pm By 6:15 we still didn’t get our food so i called. The phone was busy all the way till 6:50 at that time we spoke with the employee and they said that the food was just finishing up after a 2hr wait we asked for competition being that we have been ordering food here since 2014 and we order very often they offered a can of soda and said they normally don’t even do that, we received the food and yet no soda even in the bag. I will never order from here again they have lost my money

Very fast delivery. Food looks and smells good. The delivery guy is super nice. I tipped him. Thanks y'all. And I got a good meal and only spend $20 that's awesome

Best China Chef, Perkiomen Ave, Shelborne Square, Exeter, PA is always a satisfying dining experience. Great food and service, nice atmosphere and food! Your host Rick is a great guy, who keeps the atmosphere fresh and entertaining. The owner, Phillip, loves to talk Chinese cuisine and his family history as one of great food and customer service. My personal favorites are Beef with Snow-peas, General Tso’s Chicken, Beef low mein, awesome Shrimp Egg rolls, and on and on! Stop in for the best Chinese Cuisine in Berks County!

This place is just "okay" - nothing super special, but also not icky either. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door is that there was literally no smell and/or aroma in the dining/takeout area. Restaurants normally have a "heavy smell" when you walk in - there was absolutely none to notice here. Whatever air filtration system they are using is doing a stellar job because the air felt breathable and super clean when I walked in. Have to give credit where it is due - the dining/takeout area and overall atmosphere was on par for other similar places actually outscoring other similar nearby eateries serving the same or similar cuisine. As for the food it isn't bad, but also not anything special either. I got the T'so's Chicken and Vegetable LoMein and there are dishes I get all the time elsewhere, but the ones I got from here just lacked flavor for some reason. It wasn't bad, but also not worth $21, either. I also got the large size and it just didn't seem like a whole lot of food - basically price and portion size didn't appear to be equal. Case in point if you happen to be directly in front of the building or in the same shopping plaza and have a craving for Chinese food I'd say go for it here. Otherwise, if you are out and about and get your craving don't go out of your way to come here. The food isn't gross at all, but I've eaten at other Chinese places where the food was way better! Sorry, just my honest opinion.

3 years ago I left a big positive review, I have forever loved this place and always recommended when a recommendation was asked on a popular local FB page..2x in a row I have had bad experiences now. I normally ordered 1-2x a mth for over 27+ yrs..but besides today..it's been several mths, now I believe I'm done with this place. Ordered General Toa's lunch special today..there was absolutely no chicken in the breading..zero..I'm not even being dramatic..and each piece tasted like a crunchy breaded cracker..wtf? Top it off each piece tasted burnt..I have never experienced this ever here. Been huge fan of the Wonton soup forever..now they don't add scallions and herbs..it definitely made it pop when they did..BUT the House Special Lo Mein is still incredible!! Just not enough to keep me coming back 😏 $29.50 for large house lo mein, horrible General Toa's lunch special and wonton soup..it's alot when it's not good..but i would've paid more if it hit my expectations like it has for decades. Burnt bits in photos was just enough to make each piece taste burnt..oh well it was a good run. ✌🏽

Favorite Chinese spot in the city. The crab rangoons and tostones with garlic sauce are a MUST. They never fail to satisfy me and my family. They are great with keeping in touch about orders and are always on time!!! Called 20 minutes before closing and got my food 45 minutes later!

This is my go-to place for Chinese takeout food. I love using the app for easy ordering. It's super convenient and the food is always ready when I arrive for pickup. There are plenty of options for any sort of dietary restrictions that someone might have. Vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan, etc. I often go for the vegetable lo mein or general Tso's tofu. Great flavor! The place isn't big and it's in a strip mall. If you're in the area, it's the redner's grocery store strip mall and it's located between the Rent-A-Center and rite aid. Friendly staff every time that I've been there.

love spending $30+ on food to get absolutely nothing we ordered i get it you don’t wanna work at night doesn’t mean give people a whole meal they didn’t order pay closer attention…

Ordered takeout for a quick lunch and everything was amazing! My husband got the chicken with black bean sauce and I really love the taste of the black beans! I got the chicken with garlic sauce. Both of the dishes had a nice balance of veggies and meat!

Amazing value here for lunch. For less than $10 I got boneless ribs, pork fried rice and a eggroll. This was takeout. There are tables in here to eat at. The lady at the counter was very friendly. The taste was great. I would eat here again.

I'm editing my post, and this time, I've added photos for the food I ordered today. (☆OLD POST!☆The food is fine, but they need to put more shrimp or more protein on their fried rice. And sometimes, when you have a big order, they missed an item and no refund. But, I am still giving them 5 stars.)

I ordered food for me and a few co workers. It was over an hour until we got our food. I called asking where it was the lady said it was on its way. Finally came. Food was nasty. Chicken isn’t real it’s slimy processed chicken. Rice no flavor. Sweet & sour chicken tasted like flour and not cooked to crisp. Lo main noodles were over cooked and soggy. I called to tell them we weren’t happy with our food. I was yelled at by the lady and she told me she doesn’t have time for me to bring the food in. And hung up on me. Service was terrible and food was terrible. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Chicken or Shrimp fried rice is not normal, they give you plain rice with Chicken or Shrimp. Called, they say you have to ask to get the veggies, onions, and pork. Ordered from there a year ago and the food was normal. Called and was told to "Have a Good Day"!

I've had hop poh a handful of times over the years and I've never really been a fan, I only get it from here if I'm craving it and it's too late to go towards reading whatever other reasons .. I always go closer to Reading for my Chinese food.. This place has declined since the first time I've tried it.. food is almost bland and not cooked with care it seems like, even when you specify what your looking for they don't listen and now they've cut back on the Portion size compared to others where they stuff it so much you can see the food almost squishing thru the clear lid Hopefully they make changes soon.. I'm posting two pictures, first one will be hop poh's food the second and third will be from my go to spot near Reading for your own judgment.. take note of the amount of contents in the rice. on this one I asked for egg and I got maybe a quarter size of it in the entire amount of rice..

I just ordered food and the whole order was messed up. I Ordered the beef and broccoli with extra sauce on the beef and broccoli said this numerous times got it.And there was hardly any sauce.Asked for a quart of white rice got a quart of pork fried rice instead Me and my family have been going here for years. I live in Shillington and drove all the into town to get a messed up order.

I called to make sure that my door dash order was sent and understood properly. They were nice and made sure my order was perfect. The food was good.

This is our second time ordering delivery here. Takes about 20-25 min to come even when they state 45-55. Our food always comes piping hot and tastes so good. Today I had shrimp egg foo young. The seasonings are superb. It boasted peas and carrots as well as onions in the egg. Delight in every bite with a side of brown sauce to add to my delicious meal. Thank you Mandarin wok..we will continue to order from here.

I LOVE the cold noodles with sesame sauce here. It’s not the kind of place you go if you’re looking for a nice atmosphere and good customer service, but the food is phenomenal

Love the food and staff here. Love the inside as well. The signage outside is a bit dated, and I feel like something like this logo I made would better fit! I wanted to email it, but it seems there is no way to contact through email.

Food is overpriced and tastes horrible!! Menu is old and not updated with the updated prices. Then when took home the shrimp and ate a bite and threw up and called they said it’s from this morning meanwhile it’s now 6:30p then said bring it back in.. never again!

They’re people of few words on the phone which might seem rude, but every time I’ve picked up they’ve been smiley and kind so don’t take it too personally. They never give me a time, but it’s always ready within 15 minutes. I get a sesame tofu that isn’t on the menu but they’re always willing to make it

My first time eating here and I would say everything was good I had the general tso platter. The spring roll was phenomenal.
