China Max
Great place and good chicken. Everyone says that their chicken is raw but I hope they realize that it is the chicken leg and not the breast. Chicken leg is dark meat and is supposed to be that color when cooked. I also love the service and friendly workers. The lady that always works at the front is so nice. I remember the first time I got their amazing food I thought the chicken was raw but soon came to realize it was dark meat after the lady calmly explained that the meat was from the leg of the chicken. She even offered me a refund when I confronted her about the meat.
I’ve been to 38 of our 50 states…eating Chinese or Thai in each state ( My favorite cuisine by far) and China Max is hands down the best I’ve ever had at the price point. The chef is a genius. They don't use MSG to spruce up cheap dead ingredients. Everything is fresh and so crisp. The Lo Mein, Vegetable Egg roll, Chicken and Broccoli, Orange Chicken, and Pepper Steak are personal favorites. And the crab Rangoon appetizer is second to none. 🙏🏼
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
Well, I'm never eating here again. I always order the same, general tsaos chicken with hot and sour soup. Well, to my surprise the soup was spoiled last time I ate here. I took a bite and had to spit it out immediately as the eggs had gone bad. After taking a good look at the soup, it was darker in color and the ingredients seemed to be smaller, like they had been cooked and re-cooked. I called and told them not to give that soup to anyone else and they insisted the soup was not spoiled. They did send the delivery man back to my house to reimburse me the $2 for the soup, but he continued to insist that it was simply the way the soup tasted... uh, no, it isn't. I love hot and sour soup and have had it numerous times before and since, and it has never tasted like that. I haven't eaten here since. My question is, how many times did that soup, made with vinegar, have to me heated and reheated for it to go bad? They obviously aren't following basic food safety rules here. As nice as the staff is here, I won't ever take a chance eating here again. This is my review from August, though I do not recommend going here anymore: "You get exactly what you are paying for. Food isn't awesome, but good when it's too hot to cook indoors or if you're feeling lazy. Dinner for two is usually between $25 and $30. Make sure you ask if menu ingredients come with everything on the pictures, for example the general tso chicken will not have broccoli unless you ask for it, even though there is brocolli in the picture at the resteraunt. Pickup food is always ready within 10 minutes and delivery times are quick as well, 20 minutes at the most. Staff are friendly and helpful, which is why I still order from them for a quick bite."
I wouldn't even give this place 1 star but i had to for this review to go in. Pork ( or whatever that meat was) was rotten, no joke ROTTEN MEAT. All the coating came off the shrimp to reveal un cleaned shrimp. ( the green poopy stuff) everything else was just very generic tasting. Maybe at one time this restaurant was good but there standards have gone WAY down.
