Food was horrible, ordered chicken wings and house friend rice. You only get three jumbo wings which was so tough that it wasn’t enjoyable. The rice had no flavor even after adding two packs of soy sauce. I have never have bad chicken wings and rice. The presentation of the food didn’t even look good. I had already paid for it and discovered what was stapled in a styrofoam plate when I arrived home. Paid close to $14 for this disappointment. Go somewhere else for quality food for the price they charge you.

My coworker and I ordered take out. My regular place is closed on Sundays so I picked this restaurant. Her chicken fried rice was bland. My Szechuan Chicken didn't have a lot of taste. 95% of the chicken appears to be fatty pieces that they trimmed from dark meat. I got maybe 1 or 2 actually pieces of chicken and the rest were fatty. The steamed dumplings were good.

Overall Score: 4.8/10 – A very average spot offering typical menu options, basic dine-in space, and standard takeout service with nothing that stands out. Atmosphere and Service: 5.2/10 – The interior is modest, just a step above a standard takeout spot with a small dine-in area. The space is functional but not particularly inviting. The people working there seemed friendly, and the prices were fair for what was offered. The online ordering process and website were slightly cumbersome, and the menu was standard in both size and variety. General Gau Chicken: 4.3/10 – A below-average dish with a very mild sauce that lacked flavor. The chicken included dark meat and didn’t have the expected crunch, which took away from the texture and overall appeal. Pork Fried Rice: 5.1/10 – A basic, average rice dish. It wasn’t bad, but there was nothing special about it either. A dependable but unremarkable option. Crab Rangoon: 5.1/10 – Just average overall. The filling was fine, but the wonton wrapper was firmer than expected, making it less enjoyable than it could have been.

So there are two sides to this place. One is for the take out and one for dine in. I am visiting from out of town and the customers were coming in about every minute or two. The dine in side has a place for about 12-15 different parties. The waitress was familiar with most of her dine in customers. So they were mostly repeat customers. The people at the register also knew their customers and would frequently talk with them for a few minutes. It was very organized yet super friendly. I had chicken fried rice and it was delicious.

My wife and I have tried every Chinese food restaurant around Holly Springs. This is the best by far. Food has more bite to it, fried food isn't soggy, it just tastes better.

I’m never one to leave a complaint review but what in the hell!! I got less than halfway through 1 of my 3 egg rolls and not only did it taste like a frozen one you can get from the grocery store but the MEAT IN IT WAS RAW! Not to mention I got the sesame chicken bowl and the chicken was super tough like rubber.. I called to complain which I also never do as well and the so called manager hangs up on me after asking for refund for atleast half my order considering the raw meat made me throw up the meal I had eaten! It was my first time ordering here cause it’s closer to my home plus I figured I’d give it a shot.. let’s just say I will no longer order here again. The manager was absolutely rude and the food was horrible! I was unable to attach the picture of the raw meat in the egg roll but best believe it’s uploaded separately 🤮🤮

We’ve been going to jump out China for 18 years until we moved to North Carolina! Their food is wonderful. They are such nice people and the reason I did not put any stars for atmosphere. Is it strictly takeout! You cannot go wrong using this Chinese restaurant! I highly recommend them.

Love this place. It may be a little run down but they have the hardest working family I have ever seen. Food is consistently good and they have never messed up my orders. Been coming here since we moved here in 2009.

They changed the owner, and the food quality and taste have gone down a lot. It’s not the same old Hong Kong restaurant anymore. Today, I even found out they charged me more than what was listed on the menu. They also charge customers 3% more for using a credit card. What a disappointing experience now. It used to be our favorite Chinese takeout, but sadly, everything has gone in the wrong direction after changing the owner. I recommend you check each item price before using your credit card. They did not list the details of your food items. You will be surprised at how much more they charged you.

Yeah, I knew they changed hands before I actually heard. The food has really gone downhill. We realized it at first when the chicken wings were suddenly MUCH smaller. A month ago, I got egg foo young, it was sitting in a huge pool of oil and the oil was bitter like it was being re-used for a long time. I pressed the egg foo young in tons of paper towels, but the sauce was so awful I threw the entire thing out. What a waste. This time (about a month later) I ordered moo shu pork. I've ordered both of these dishes multiple times. The moo shu wasn't very flavorful and the veggies were all soft, not even the cabbage was crunchy...it was a pile of soft mush. We used to come in once a week, but I think we're going to need to find another place.

I tried the Roujiamo and Hot & Sour Noodles at this restaurant, and both were absolutely delicious! The Roujiamo was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with a generous portion of flavorful meat. The hot & sour noodles had the perfect balance of tangy and spicy, with chewy noodles that soaked up all the flavor—so addictive! The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the place was clean and cozy. It really reminded me of the taste of home. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

I had an incredible dining experience at this Xi’an noodle restaurant! The flavors were rich and authentic, with perfectly hand-pulled noodles that had the ideal texture—chewy and flavorful. The spice level was just right, and the broth was deeply satisfying. I especially loved the xi an Flour cold noodle, which were packed with bold and aromatic seasonings. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It truly felt like a taste of Xi’an right here! If you’re looking for authentic Shaanxi cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

I’m picky with beef and broccoli. Most places have chewy beef, mid sauce and/or too many carrots. The beef and broccoli here was great, it hit all of the marks with flavor and texture. The lunch combo portion was generous, the pork fried rice + egg roll was good.

Just stopped off here on the way back home. Absolute RAVE from everyone in my family at the table. My grandma actually went up gushing to the chef 🤪. We also noticed while eating that just about everyone who came into order was clearly a regular who greeted the staff and knew the family well. Can really tell this is a community establishment! Definitely will return on future drives!

PLEASE NOTE: I've rated this location with regard to other fast-casual Chinese restaurants that are similar to it in mind. If you are reading this, please keep this in mind throughout the review! Also, keep in mind that to receive a five-star rating would require me to love almost everything about the place and so I reserve that star for places that exceed almost every expectation. I have visited Wang's Kitchen quite a few times. It is a pretty decent location with good, fresh food. Food has flavor and is not overly greasy or oily. I will say the soups could have more flavor as the vegetable soup we ordered one time was a little bit bland. However, dishes don't all taste the same (which I find many Chinese fast-casual restaurants tend to have an issue with). Vegetables are fresh. I usually go with the Hunan Chicken or Chicken w/Broccoli and Fried Eggrolls or Dumplings and they taste pretty good. I also like the Fried Rice and Lo-Mein once in a while. Side Note: Actually, I would even say the Fried Dumplings here are pretty darn excellent compared to other fast-casual Chinese places! They have a nice doughy exterior and nice pork flavor on the inside paired with a good soy-based sauce (that appears to be a special dumpling sauce very similar to soy sauce). I don't prefer the Steamed Dumplings as they just don't taste the same as/compare to Fried Dumplings, in my opinion. Anyways, I am one for Hunan dishes and this place does not disappoint, as far as I'm concerned. Sauce is savory and flavorful, which I personally can appreciate. I can't really speak too much about the atmosphere as this is more of a take-out location, I would say. Though, I do think the inside specifically could use a bit of renovating. I can't speak to other people's experiences, but as far as I'm concerned, overall, it's a good location to pick up some Chinese food to-go!! Thank you for the good food! Another Side Note: Also, I often see the same man and woman here, and they seem very friendly. The woman said hello to me one time with a smile and I appreciated that. I have also seen who I believe to be their children inside the restaurant when I've ordered here before, and they are very polite and cute. I would say, however, as a word of advice, perhaps having the owners taking the orders would be better than the young kids, as a couple of times, the children have picked up the phone and seemed confused with the order I was placing or not sure what to do. I think it would make more sense to have the owners answering the phone, instead. Anyhow, it's a pretty good Chinese fast-casual place in the area! :)

This place doesn’t miss. Great take-out style Chinese food. The couple that owns it are so nice and in classic fashion the food never takes longer than 15-20 minutes from the time you call. Crab Rangoons 10/10. Szechuan chicken 10/10. Great egg-rolls and if you’re down for it, get your Lo Mien spicy.

Ordered takeout for the first time and enjoyed our meal! The mixed dumplings were very good and worth the slight up charge for them to be pan fried. The sesame chicken was also very good and sweet but not overly sweet. The fried rice was tasty! The chicken lo mein was my least favorite dish we ordered but it was still good just not as flavorful compared to other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to in the area.

I placed a Grubhub order. Asked for fried rice with the sesame chicken, it’s just brown sticky rice. Sesame chicken is gummy and chicken is tough. The Dan Dan noodles are bland and packaged with the meat and sauce at the bottom. Very difficult to stir and eat and the noodles on top?? They are plain with no flavor. Lo Mein had almost no flavor. Green beans were good. The best part? I asked for added chili oil in the notes because I’m from NJ and this is how we get it there. Never paid for it, you just ask at the counter and they put it in your bag….on my receipt there’s a note that “next time I want chili oil I have to pay.” There won’t be a next time. The food is not even worth it, and especially not with cheap, somewhat rude business practices. Save your money ($100 Grubhub order for crappy food) and go elsewhere.

You get what you pay for. Relatively cheap lunch special, but nothing special about it. I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice. Chicken is just ok. Fried rice had only onions and scallions, no green peas, no carrots, no egg. The dish had only 2 small pieces of broccoli. Portion is relatively small. I guess landscapers and construction workers (who are probably major clients of this restaurant) don’t like vegetables. This was my first and last visit to this Chinese restaurant. There are definitely much better options.

Went to this place and ordered food and this is what I got meat not completely cook and I was eating this and almost vomit. This is not ok to serve uncooked and I paid $28. So disappointed

The service is great! Greeted with a smile and attentive to our table. The food was amazing! I didn't have a fav dish because everything tasted great in its own way. Great portion sizes. The playlist added to the atmosphere with all the hits!

|Overview: + Authentic spicy Szechuan cuisine + Big bowl of beef noodle soup for affordable price + Fairly good customer service + Overall food quality is great - 91% Sanitation Score - Dull ambiance with old-looking seats and bad lighting - Amount of beef in noodle soup is little - Some appetizers like beef tripe are pricey |Full Review: My girl & I went here around 9PM, and our first impressions of Chengdu 7 weren't good. The 91% Sanitation Score was concerning; my girl asked if we were sure if we wanted to eat here. I told her that not a lot of restaurants were open after 9 so we decided to give it a shot. We were the only customers dining in, and a young waitress took us to our cheap-looking seats illuminated by dull fluorescent lights. Ambiance is clearly not ideal for a romantic date night. Chengdu 7's photo-filled menu offers authentic Chinese -Szechuan dishes, including a wide variety of beef at various spice levels. I ordered the $18+ Sizzling Steak in Hot Iron Plate, which came with strips of steak, bell peppers, scallions & white onions. It also came with a small cup of white rice. My order lived up to its name as it arrived sizzling on a hot iron plate. It tasted how I expected it to be: not spicy but tasty. Wish I had the option to get fried rice instead & amount of rice was not much (waitress did not offer to refill rice). Overall, it was good but not great. My girl ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, which was served in a large bowl. She was surprised to see the large amount for a $12+ bowl. It was much bigger than the $16+ bowl of beef noodle soup we got from Wheat in Chapel Hill just a few days ago. She said she wouldn't be able to finish it despite having to share with me so she asked for 2 smaller bowls for us because she knew that there'll be leftover for take out. A Chinese gentleman whom we assumed to be the owner came to help cut the long rice noodles with scissors, so my girl can transfer some of the contents of the soup to the smaller bowls. We were thankful for his caring customer service. The beef inside the noodle soup was well-cooked and tender but the amount of beef chunks was lacking; my girl wished it had less noodles and more beef. The broth was fine. Overall, not bad for $12+, which was about the same price as the beef tripe appetizer that we wanted to order but decided not to because of its price. Instead, we ordered a $12 Chili Oil Dumpling. The pork inside tasted amazing with the chili oil, and the texture of the dumplings was perfect. There's a good amount so we ended up taking out about 1/3 of it. Overall, I have mixed feelings about Chengdu 7. Despite the dull ambiance, low Grade "A" Sanitation Score, and some shortcomings in the food we ordered, it's still not a bad option if you enjoy authentic Szechuan cuisine at a semi-affordable price. Might return here to order for take out. | Overall Score: 3.9/5 | Recommended Alternative: Shanghai in Durham, NC

Absolutely love love love this place, food is always fantastic and price reasonably. They are quick and so sweet remembering I always ask for hot oil! Great customer report

We eat vegetarian and I will say: I love this place! Some of the best tofu options. Also a very quick and efficient ordering/ pick up process. Great place to grab a bite.
