The only thing I got that I ask for was orange chicken...and they made it with broccoli smh ...I asked for chicken chow main and got no noodles smh... I had ask for 2 things orange chicken and chow main and still not right smh It doesn't get any easier then that. I will not go back

We are missing three meals from our order , they called and said we need to drive there and pick them up. We paid $90 to uber for deliverthat is nonrefundable! Then called back and said they are only giving us two of the three they owe us. This is a horrible place who just ripped us off and theres no way to get our money back. I will never order from them again or recommend anyone would. They are bad business and thieves who steal. $90 for soup and two egg rolls look at the photo . If you read this and order anyway blame yourself when you get ripped off theres lots of other places out there who are honest

They have some good deals for their dinner plates. I’m also a fan of their to-go packaging; I brought a call-in order back to my hotel (stopped for a 12-pack, even) and it was still hot. I got broccoli beef and pork fried rice. The portions are good. I can eat plenty, and I still had some leftovers for later. The picture may be misleading for lack of depth, but I can assure you that the plate was packed. Probably skip the egg roll. It did not taste good. As for the restaurant itself? I don’t know that I would call it one. It stinks. It’s a bit shabby, and I wouldn’t swear to you that it was clean. Definitely order take-out. Location, location, location. Real easy to get to. Neighborhood? You’re in the middle of Durham, my friend. If you’ve made it this far, you’ll be alright. Grab your Chinese and go. The kid that answers the phone has a bad attitude, but he might just be tired, slammed, and overworked. Would I order from here again? Sure, why not. I might send DoorDash to pick it up instead, but the food is good and prompt as promised.

First time coming here to grab an order of something for dinner, was busy tries to call in but phone kept ringing busy, this is not a nice and safe neighborhood shopping center, there’s always people begging outside around this restaurant pr the supermarket. You just have to watch yourself out here. Food was expensive and not fresh at all.

The Kung Pao Chicken had a great sauce and lots of flavor. The staff was courteous and prompt. Seems like the place is meant for take-out; there are tables and chairs to sit at, but it's pretty bare bones, and everything is served in to-go containers. It's a good value if you are in the area and don't mind the rough exterior.

The only chinese eatery in Hayti! New Resident, here! I was spoiled in Winston-Salem with cool places like Mr. Lu's ( If you are ever in Winston-Salem, NC 10 out of 10! Off of 311/ New Walkertown down from WSSU! Fire, every time! And the staff is always friendly! .... ) Wang's Garden is just as good! Sesame Chicken with the Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll Combo is my go to! Was prepared lovely! Still figuring my way around Durham, this is a jewel in the neighborhood Hayti! :)

They always burn my rib tips! The lady always have an attitude and it crazy certain items they only accept cash! And it takes longer than 10 minutes for your food. It’s trash! Food, Customer Service and Atmosphere!!!!!!!! And on top of that they charge for hot sauce.

The food is every good egg roll crispy and crunchy, but the customer service was one of the worst I've ever seen from a Chinese restaurant in my entire 30 years of living. fYI the lunch specials does not come with and egg roll or pork fried rice 🤨

I stop here and get food every so often when I'm in the area for an appointment. I went during lunch time to get food. I ate some and then got on the road to head back home. It did not taste right at the moment, but I said maybe it is my taste bud. I've never had an issue though. My daughter asked for the tray when she got home. She went to eat chicken, and then yelled. She said mom what are they feeding us with this in it ...very disappointed. It was clear slimy stuff and the chicken was not its normal chicken color inside.

On March 10th I ordered the Shrimp Egg Foo Young and when I looked at it I noticed that the onions were burnt. I said, the onions on this looks burnt. She said oh no it's not like that inside. I thought she would have said, Would you like something else but she didn't. The only reason I didn't press it any further was because I wasn't feeling well and I just want to go home and eat. I did not enjoy that meal because the onions were truly burnt. This is the second time something like this has happened, other than that the food was good. Maybe they changed cooks🤔. For this reason I'm done with Golden China. She knew that those onions were burnt and I have pictures but I don't see a place where I can attach them.

When I say good Chinese food I mean good! I'm from DC, I've tried many places here and been disappointed time after time. It's not a sit in and eat place but if you want good food this is it. Drove in from Clayton for it, IYKYK it's an hour drive to Durham. Well worth it! Had chicken, mixed vegetables with pork fried rice. Sorry my plate is almost done.

The food is very good, especially the House Lomein and we drive 30 minutes to get it but won't agin. They're suppose to put x5 shrimp in the combo shrimp fried rice and General Tso's chicken and it was only x3 pieces. The customer service is average. I will not give my money again to people who do things like that. I don't mind paying for extra shrimp or beef when we order and would have if I'd know they were going to jerk me. They weren't even courteous when questioned about it. I like their food but won't be returning!!

Food was really good. Prices not to bad. Spicy isn't spicy. Had the Beef with Spicy Garlic sauce. Packed full of flavor, but not much kick or spice. The Gyoza ( Dumplings) were pretty good, not enough dipping suave. Had 2 egg rolls which were regular egg rolls. Pretty slow, and dirty tables. Service was fast though.

Don't understand some of the negative reviews -- the staff has always been very cordial with me (offering me chili oil when I'm getting take-out, which they know I like on the side). When it comes to the food, it's within the top five strip-mall style Chinese restaurants in Durham. It's not "high-end" food, but neither is it your typical Chinese fare that's watered down in terms of spice for the American palate. Dragon Inn has that type of fare available on their regular menu, but if you order from the "Authentic Chinese Dish" section of the menu, you'll find very authentic options, with levels of spice that'll satisfy even the most seasoned -- pun intended -- heat lover. Might I recommend the Spicy & Pepper Fried Fish Filet? This is like the Chinese version of Fish & Chips, but on steroids in terms of heat. The take-out in the picture is of their ChongQuing Chili Chicken. The food is so delicious that I order once every couple of weeks or so, as a treat to myself, and wash it down with a craft imperial stout.

I order a to go order online and went in to pick it up. The orange chicken barely had any meat on it and was way over saturated with sauce. The rice was ok. I couldn’t finish my food and wasted my money and time. Outside the restaurant is dirty and homeless people wonder around. I will not be back. Only tried this place because it was one of the few places open on Christmas. The young lady who checked me out was nice.

The food here is amazing and cheap and the portions are HUGE this place is a real hidden gem but the most amazing part is the lady who runs the shop she is so sweet and kind I keep coming back for the food but I would come back just to see her. Food, service, price, and portion are all 100 out of 10. I can’t recommend this place enough!

12/22/24. No lemonade, no beef, no shrimp, no green beans, no lemonade. Backed up the line for 20-minutes when they ran out of noodles. No chicken egg rolls; spring rolls tasted like greasy paste. Noodles were like spaghetti cooked in chicken broth. Sesame chicken was like deep-fried flour. Fried rice was tasteless.

Lol wth is this slop? There’s a little bone in my bourbon chicken and the firecracker shrimp has a $1.00 or so upcharge just to be this little piece of shrimp and thick overcooked fried breading. I didn’t even receive a greeting upon arriving, nor a friendly face. I asked for a cup for water, but the young man said they don’t serve water cups and asked if I want a soda or bottled water instead. I said nevermind about the water and happily went to Chikfila for water where the rest of my family ate. Upon paying I said thank you and the cashier immediately began talking to his coworker where both were just leaning on the counter. I should’ve just gone to the other chinese food places; it’s a shame this place pulled into the block just to ruin my perspective of the regular Pei Wei. The other reviews can tell you the same! Never again! 😀
