Richie's Kitchen
The sign outside is a little tough to see as you drive so keep that in mind. Anyway, the food was tasty and well prepared and presented. The service was pretty good and I was able to get a parking spot right out front. A very enjoyable meal!
I was drawn to the restaurant by the mention of Cuban cuisine. I came to learn that it is a Latin fusion restaurant. The salmon was so flavorful and moist. It was perfectly cooked to my specifications. It was accompanied by Asian slaw and tater sauce, both of which are amazing with the salmon. I preferred the slaw more. The tostones were fresh and hot perfectly fried, but not greasy. The pigeon peas and rice reminded me of home, Miami! The owner is friendly and gracious! The hostess was very professional and prompt. I will differently be making this place a regular spot to quench my craving for Latin cuisine.
Dong Happy Garden
Surprisingly tender beef slices. Veggie portions were generous. Very authentic flavors. All in all I was happy with the meal.
I am still looking for a replacement for the now closed Buchanan's Lee Terrace. Unfortunately this place is no match. It's standard Chinese Takeout. Big portions but that's about it. I always go for a Hot-Sour Soup and a portion of Veggie Fried Rice. The Soup hat way too much Soy Sauce and it did not taste good, the Veggie Rice had no chance to reach my taste buds again after having a spoonful of that soup. Not worth for me to make the trip to Croton. Remember dear reader: This review is only about those two dishes I had (my favorites) and I was disappointed. Other dishes are probably delicious. So please try yourself!
Waka Asian Bistro
The decor is nice, and the food is delicious. I ordered the singapore mei fun with chicken, crispy walnut shrimp, dinosaur roll, and a half & half drink. Everything was amazing!
The staff are very kind and helpful. One staff member was especially nice, and kept asking us if we needed anything. The food is delicious and arrives really fast. This restaurant is amazing and you should definitely try it out!
Miyabi Asian Bistro
We had the Gyoza to start. They were good. I really enjoy the sauce they came with. I ordered the general chicken. And my husband ordered the orange chicken. Both of them were very sweet. Both dishes tasted like honey. It was nice you got to pick white or brown rice. They both were good. We also got a volcano roll and that was delicious!!!!! I really enjoyed that. They also have Sappora beer in bottles. Our waiter was quick and attentive. Great location. The restaurant was decorated very well.
Lovely place. Staff was attentive, the food was good not over the top but very good. Throughly enjoyed our experience. Will be back.
MUGHAL PALACE
I’ve dined in, gotten take out, and gotten delivery through GrubHub from this place. This place should be voted best Indian food in the northeast, it’s phenomenal. All dishes are made with consistency and taste exactly the same every time. I’ve eaten at this place 7+ times, and every time I’ve gotten the same quality food. Dining in was very nice too, the staff is quick and cares about your experience. Take out is the same quality food as dining in. Never have I ever been to a restaurant that’s consistently so delicious! Keep it up.
Good place for having standard Indian cuisine. Sunday lunch buffet was great. They don’t maintain the Business hours posted on google or door. So call before you go. I have experienced early closing twice on same week.
HOUSE KITCHEN
Absolute best Cuban I've had in a long time I highly recommend
Awesome buffet style breakfast and lunch. Menu rotates throughout the week. Tastes and feels like some home cooked stuff you get at grandmas, it’s Great. Owners are very welcoming!
Sushi Palace
Wow, what a culinary adventure! If you've ever wondered what it's like to eat flavorless fish on top of the world's worst rice, boy, do I have a place for you! This all-you-can-eat sushi 'paradise' is a real gem. The sushi tastes like nothing - perfect for those on a strict cardboard diet. But don't worry, they make up for it with mountains of rice that would make any carb-lover weep tears of joy. And let's not forget the hibachi show - nothing builds an appetite quite like watching a chef desperately trying to distract you from the quality of the food. The ambiance? Think 'dumpster chic' meets 'neglected cafeteria.' The layer of grime really adds to that authentic experience. It's like they've bottled the essence of rock bottom and sprinkled it liberally throughout the restaurant. If you're looking to lose your appetite, faith in humanity, and will to live all in one convenient location, this is the place for you! Five stars for consistency - consistently awful, that is.
The food was good. They had a hibachi. We definitely ordered too much food, which you shouldn't do because then you'd have to pay for wasting your food. Thankfully, it was okay to waste at least a SMALL amount. I'm pretty sure it's $30 something a person.
Taiim Falafel Shack
Delicious falafel wrap. I think even the pita was made from scratch. The grape leaves were served warm which was a pleasant surprise. There’s not many tables. I suspect most people do take away.
The food here was absolutely delicious. I cant remember the name of the item that i ordered, but i do know that the chefs there were incredible. The staff were friendly and the energy was great.
Bibille
One of the best grilled pork I’ve had! My god mom she likes the fried chicken wings so much! Thank you for the great foods and created our sweet memories!
We've been going to Bibille for a few years. See my full review on Yelp. First-- the service is friendly enough, but there's a problem when you need 3 different staff to figure out what the customers are asking for. We just wanted to know where the small order of kimchi and seaweed salad were-- 2 cold appetizers that really should have come out before the ramen. And it took us a few minutes to ask for a second spoon so we could actually eat the ramen when it came. I can't even say that staff was overly busy because the place wasn't full. Maybe they were slammed with takeout orders, but I saw no one come to pick up orders and the kitchen didn't bring out any. We were just at a vietnamese place the other day and it was also half-full, but there was a constant stream of takeout packages coming out of the kitchen and customers coming to pick up their orders. Last night at Bibille, the staff seemed busy, but they just kept going back and forth. Second-- the food came out willy nilly. We ordered 2 small apps, 2 different dumpling orders, and 2 ramen bowls. We got the fried dumplings first, then a bowl of ramen, then a few minutes later the 2nd bowl of ramen, then when we asked about the kimchi, we were told that it takes time to make the steamed dumplings. We know that-- but we were wondering where the kimchi and seaweed salad were-- and when we got them they were prepackaged in a tiny condiment container. Why didn't we get those first? No one understood us to answer the question. Then we finally got the steamed dumplings, two were smashed open and they weren't that hot-- which tells me they were either not microwaved well enough or they had been sitting on a counter waiting for service. The dumplings also were just meh. They weren't handmade and they weren't even the good kind that you can get at your local Asian market in the freezer section. They were bland and even though they were both different flavors, they weren't exactly what I was expecting. I ordered spicy pork which turned out not to be spicy, although it was a bright red. The steamed should've been beef/kimchi, but it tasted like neither beef nor kimchi, but unspiced pork. While I'm on the dumplings-- when was the last time you got dumplings served with a packet of soy sauce? Sort of like you get with takeout sushi. Dumplings aren't served with soy sauce. Not unless you're making them at home & don't have anything else. Speaking of making things at home-- when I'm in the mood for a ramenesque bowl of noodles at home, I generally make a miso broth & toss in a few noodles. That's not ramen. That's what you get when you want ramen but have neither the skills nor the ingredients to make a good ramen bowl. This ramen wasn't as good as the dinky bowl I make at home. When I make miso at home, I use the miso paste-- not the powdered miso packet you get with some of the overly processed noodles. This ramen was that kind of powdered, processed miso garbage. It wasn't bad-- but it wasn't ramen. And yes, I know this is supposed to be Korean fusion cuisine. But fused with what? This broth is not like the ramen bowls we got a the same restaurant last year. And finally-- the egg & chasu. The egg was a sorry excuse for the unctuous soft-boiled egg that you get in a traditional (or even non-traditional but competent) noodle house. This was hardboiled to within an inch of its life. And the poor chasu was GRILLED. I was really looking forward to a nice ramen bowl with the succulent chasu. This was overcooked. I mean, how do you overcook chasu if you have any clue as to what you're doing? It was seared and dry-- not unlike shoe-leather. As added umami, it had the distinct flavor of an unwashed grill. Really uncool. Really horrible actually. I couldn't even eat half the bowl-- and for a meal that cost us $62, they should be ashamed of themselves. About an hour after I ate, I also started to feel decidedly unwell. Nothing like a bad meal that makes you want to vomit to really put a cap on a nice day out.
Sambal Thai & Malay
Been procrastinating trying this place for so long. We always go to red hat. That was a mistake. Red hat has fallen off. This was probably the best and most natural tasting beef and broccoli I’ve ever had
Attentive service with authentically flavorful dishes. Loved that they had a few Indian Chinese - like Manchurian on the menu as well. My friend raved about the red Thai curry being one of the best she’s eaten (and she’s a Thai foodie) All plates were presented meticulously, the decor was fitting and the restaurant impeccably clean. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. PS: Maybe someday soon they’ll add chili chicken to the menu.
China City Restaurant
The food was great in there, super delicious. Compliments to the chef! I got them fast as soon as I ordered it. The waiters were all respectful and kind. Definitely a great Chinese place to eat in upstate NY.
I live nearby and I have been wanting to find a really good Chinese fast food spot. Food was good, service was fast but like many others said on here she's rude..My first time here so I walk in and say hello, she gives me this stoic stare, gives me my pick up order, I said thank you 2x not once did she reply....I don't know if it's a cultural thing but not too many Chinese restaurants seem very welcoming but are quick to take your money...won't be going back, although, it's walking distance for me, rather take the drive to Xin China Garden on Croton in Ossining. Some ppl just need to learn the hard way that customers have other options.
Royal Palace
I loved this place! My friend and I buffet last Sunday and it really reminded us of home. The food is good although I’d say it is a bit on the oily side and the paneer isn’t the way it should be. The texture isn’t right. But still, I’d highly recommend this place as you’ll find something you’ll love! We loved the chole, pani puri, appetizers and mango pudding. Chai is well made too! People are nice too. I’m definitely taking my non-desi friends here lol
Food was excellent. We asked for spicy and it was really spicy. We are accustomed to eating spice but I guess mild would have been the way to go. Customer service was excellent.
