Crazy Bowlz
The food was good. My fried chicken wings were a little overdone, but otherwise? Everything else was delicious. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The food was also reasonably priced. I also liked that the entire restaurant was immaculate as well. I'll be returning. Thanks again Crazy Bowlz.!
The food here blew my mind! I had the bulgogi lotus buns and bulgogi nachos. They were so good and tasty. I also had Bible tea here, it was delish, not too sweet! Highly recommend the yogurt soju! Can’t wait to go back tomorrow to check out other items on the menu.

My favorite place to get take out. The food has never disappointed me here. Always very fast and very fresh. Even though they have a huge seating area in the back, it is mainly a take away restaurant. They do have a small indoor seating area in front, but it is not full table service. So, don't expect to have a sit down meal with guests. But for those nights that you happened to burn the casserole, the cat ate the chicken off the counter, or you are just down for some great Chinese food...this is the place.
Pros: -szechuan dumplings had good flavor. -Appeared to be clean inside. Cons: -Ribs were basically leather on bones. -none of the entrees had more than a tbls of sauce. -beef&broccoli was 87%broccoli and 13%roastbeef. -dumpling meat slightly undercooked. -small portions. -Shrimp was tiny and mushy. For the price of the food the quality was seriously lacking.
Kai's
I love this restaurant, the good is great and reminds me of the takeout Chinese I grew up with in NYC. Side note: their current credit card discharge notice/policy is completely illegal, to the tune of $500 per violation reported. So far hasn't bothered me, but someone is going to report the restaurant to the local government sooner or later.
The food is good, but to order they recently started charging service fee plus mandatory high tip. For takeout! The $14 order I nearly placed came to $23. So no, not this time!!!
Yum Yum Noodle Bar - KINGSTON
Yum, yum, yum... three times because now I've tried all three of their locations (ate in Red Hook and Woodstock previously). This yum yum didn't disappoint and was equally as perfect as the others. I had a Ramen noodle bowl with coconut curry and braised pork. It was incredible! The place was busy, but service remained friendly, efficient, and helpful. Atmosphere, with large tables, was clean and casual. Perfect!
This is such a great restaurant! The food was delicious and healthy! There were lots of veggies and really good meat—the pork in the noodle bowl was so moist! They have a cozy cup of tea with lemon, ginger, and honey. They have plenty of Gluten-free options.
Golden Ginza
Great atmosphere!!! Located downtown Strand area plenty parking nearby. We stopped in for lunch. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. Everything was EXCEPTIONAL. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED We will be returning for sure!!! Many thanks to the wonderful staff and management!!!
We have been going there for YEARS, for birthdays, graduations, and just general dinner dates in small and large groups leaving $100 plus tips at a time. This was by far the worst experience we ever had, we had a group of 17 people, split between 2 tables which is no big deal to us we’re used to being split up there when we have a larger group. The staffs behavior today was beyond acceptable, I tried to excuse the last time I went during lunch with just my husband and parents as maybe just a fluke after we sat there for over 20 minutes after being seated without being helped while staff were ALL sitting down on their phones pretending like we didn’t exist; however today’s service was horrendous. From spilling hot soup on my uncle (table 1) with minimal apology then our waitress yelling at my aunt(table 2) due to the waitress being confused over what meal she had ordered then proceeding to trash talk my aunt with other employees, and the repeated dirty looks from the short older woman. I’m not sure what has changed in the last few months but the atmosphere is god awful and the food has been subpar at best, it’s to the point where we’re advising the rest of our family and friends to find a new favorite habachi restaurant. It’s beyond disappointing to receive such poor service after 15 years of being loyal customers.
Asia
Ate here Dec. 7. Super friendly service and cost atmosphere. Was seated right away. I ordered Miso Soup, Tropical Seafood Sushi, and Sesame Chicken. Everything was delicious. The only thing I wish was that the bowl of rice was bigger. It's quite small. Also the sushi rolls are tiny bit small. I love that they box up your leftovers for you. Misc and doesn't affect my rating: my friend ordered the Crispy Duck and was disappointed it was fried with panko and not crisped via the skin. Just something to note if folks want to avoid fried food
We were traveling through the area and looking for something more than diner and burger fare so we stopped in here. I'm glad we did! It was surprising empty for a weekend around lunch but take-out orders were keeping them busy. Everything was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. Thanks!
Asian Garden
Looking for a different taste for dinner, we decided to check out this establishment. We were pleasantly surprised to see the entrance was accessible. The place looked clean with plenty of seating. The server was friendly & the order came out within a reasonable time. When the dishes arrived, presentation was good. The food wast warm & tasty. One dish out of the 2 was a good portion size. The atmosphere was average & seating was decent. Handicapped accessibility stopped at the entrance as the restroom was unable to accommodate a wheelchair which was a disappointment.
Ive been coming here every time I’m in highland for years. The food and service is fantastic. I love the Thai iced tea and chicken Pad Thai but everything from here is delicious! Definitely one of the best Asian restaurants in the area & I can’t wait to keep going back!
Red House
Stopped in after coffee at Frida's Sunday afternoon to get takeout and was surprised to find this little gem with decor on a NYC level, sophisticated art and well done seating. Sushi was on a similar level - fresh and delicious. Definitely a keeper. Can understand previous poster who didn't want to spread the word. Will be back to try sit down for dinner.
I used to patronize the Red House several years ago before they closed. I think they may have closed around 2018 or so, and I was never sure why, because they seemed to run such a good restaurant back then. I was so excited to learn earlier this year that Red House had reopened this past Spring! I come here about once a month ever since, and I’ve gotten take-out once. I’ve tried many of the appetizers. My favorites are chicken satay, spring rolls, shrimp shumai, and the crab rangoons. I love the tuna rice cake “pizza” app, too, but that’s more like a meal for me! I’m not fond of the steamed buns or the scallion pancake apps, though. The chicken curry and coconut prawn entrees are big favorites of mine, as is the walnut prawn entree. I’ve yet to try the Pad Thai - I’m very curious about that dish! I’ve had a “chef’s special” raw roll on 2 occasions. I do like their fancier sushi rolls, but it’s not my favorite place for raw rolls, honestly. But they’re not “bad” by any means! ALL of the various servers we’ve met are terrific! Kudos to the kitchen staff (like Joe!) as I find the food to be really tasty!
Sunshine
This place is a wonderful little hole in the wall with lots of delicious, affordable options.
The boneless spare ribs sucked, too salty, no bbq sauce on them and pretty sure the meat wasn’t what it was supposed to be never seen spare ribs so paper thin. And the chicken is always cut so small and be chewy like what are you actually serving the people of Kingston 😒🤔
Hong Fu
Not real attentive. Their dedication to stopping the spread of COVID-19 is very apparent though. do you see the plastic over the counter? Been there forever and always good food!
Food very dry. Ordered a chicken and broccoli with white sauce… white sauce was scarce and bland. Also was overcharged …
Main Moon
We tried this place for the first time tonight. My husband, my two younger kids, and myself were not even an hour past eating and were all met with terrible stomachaches and needing to use the bathroom.
The food was gross. I didn't know you could mess up an egg roll, but they tasted bitter. The other food was greasy and flavorless
New China House
Nasty place. You can always rate a Chinese restaurant by the condition of their bathroom. Wow, really bad. But I was hungry so I took a chance and ate there. I had the chicken chow mein, no soup or egg roll included at the price I paid. It's been a few hours since I ate and I'm still alive. The owner was friendly but there was a large guy there acting particular.
Food was good. Took a little while to prepare so it probably wasn't sitting around. My only issue was there was 5 people and there was a service charge of $12, I'm not against service charges however I felt the service was lacking, had to ask for extra utensils, ask for more napkins, ask for soy sauce, ask for hot sauce. Things that should already be available at a restaurant that really only has 1 table for dine in. Also there is no AC, or it wasn't on and it was quite warm.
