Wing Shun Kitchen
One of the best Chinese food takeout spots around. Food is consistently good it has been owned by the same people for years. Prices have not gone up too much since before Covid and the quality has stayed the same. They’re sesame chicken is great and chicken and broccoli is another favorite
Very good chicken lo mein.Good price.I made 2 big meals from it
Tasty House
Greate for take-out, delivery or if you are shopping in the area, dine-in. Food is tasty. Delivery is prompt and courteous.
Just moved to North Shore, from Deer Park area and it has been difficult to find a good chinese takeout spot since moving out here. Tasty house has def won me over though. Foods fantastic. Quick convenient friendly!
Mi Nuevo Encanto
Been coming to this place for 15 years at least… the food here is absolutely amazing and authentic, so flavorful… anything you order here will blow your mind💯💯💯. And they are so generous with the alcohol in the cocktails!
Food was so good but prices weren’t the same as in the menu
Spicy Home Tasty 2 | Sichuan Cuisine
For Long Island, this chinese restaurant is fairly good. I have been to the original Spicy Home Tasty in Commack and I still prefer that one. However, this one is closer to me. So I decided to try it. The first time I had take-out and I was not pleased but as with most restaurant foods, it tastes best if you eat in. This review is based of the second time I decided to eat at the restaurant. I had four dishes. The first was the fried Wonton. I took one bite and could not continue eating it. Their Wonton wrap is the typical Chinese take out Wonton wrap. It's thick with little inside. The second was a tofu hotpot. This one was great. Tasted great and truly enjoyed it. I also had the Hunan chicken. This one I really enjoyed. Chicken was perfect. Not to salty. Very good. The last dish was Moo Shu Vegetable. Not bad. Nothing to really say about this one. Long Island Chinese restaurants have come a long way. Most are still terrible but it's take out food. They still don't compare to NYC/Queens Chinese restaurants but they are becoming much better.
I've been searching for great chinese food on LI - and I just found it here. Truly delicious experience. The spicy (sichuan) chicken was so crunchy and delicious. The lo mein were flavored well and so good. They give you hot tea and pickled cabbage at the beginning of your meal and fortune cookies at the end - all around lovely experience. The restaurant itself is done well, too - with separators and spacing that add decor. They did forget one of our dishes until we were basically done with our meal unfortunately so they did lose a service star there. But to err is human :) Will absolutely be back!
Lake Grove Diner
I was so happy we decided to have breakfast at the Lake Grove Diner. The interior looked newly and tastefully remodeled. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in the door. The menus were new, clean and not sticky-lol. We ordered the Nova Scotia Eggs Benedict with a generous portion of salmon, the Texas Omelet, with skirt steak and the Belgian Waffle with 2 scoops of ice cream. Each was delicious and perfectly cooked. The home fries were the best I have had in a long time-tasty and not overly seasoned. The prices may be a little higher than some diners, but it was worth it. The meals were made with quality ingredients and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.
Outstanding diner with excellent food and service. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or late-night snack. Very clean and well maintained. Giota is the resident Wonder Woman, warm and welcoming, while the entire staff is accommodating and on top of things.
Fortune Cookies Chinese Restaurant
Service is remarkable and food here is outstanding worthwhile
The food was by far not the best, very disappointing. I ordered General Toas shrimp. You get a little tiny shrimp surrounded by a huge covering of some type of fried dough. Really gross. I don’t mind the small shrimp but you look like your getting 6 or 7 jumbo shrimps and it’s ALL dough. Come on people!! The egg rolls were gross too. Sorry I wasn’t impressed, let alone the employees were not friendly at all.
Wing Wah Kitchen
I’ve been going here for yrs and it’s usually good but tonight there was NO onions in the fried rice. Sooo bland . And the general chow chicken even though I asked for white meat seamed veiny and slimy Plus I had stomach issuea all night . Won’t b going back
I moved to this area almost 5 years ago and was always on the hunt for decent Chinese food. I don't know what took so long to try Wing wah out but glad I did. The flavor of the general tsos chicken is really good and they let me substitute more broccoli in the combo instead of receiving the egg roll. The wonton soup is really good too. A lot of places make it too salty but theirs is very good . My husband enjoys the dishes he gets too. We will be sticking to wing wah for Chinese takeout nights
Mountain Sea Asian Bistro
A bunch of us took a drive to visit some friends in the area. And we all had a craving for Chinese food, so on the way to their house we pickup takeout from here, everything was delicious. We had to order the crab wontons, spare ribs, wings, teriyaki chicken the cashier recommended the rock-salt & pepper beef and we also got happy family and moo shu and udon soup. The udon was good for a cold night. Everything came fast and hot. The place was comfy. Lots of parking outside. Definitely be back to this restaurant again.. prices were decent.
They have plenty of room for dining but still primarily take out. Food is excellent, never any GI issues afterward. The traditional sauteed is a fantastic healthy alternative. Nobody else has that option, that I know of.
Ichiban
Good Chinese Take-out, idk about the Japanese side but the Chinese is tasty. Its close and convenient, Service is good cant complain every take out joint says ten minutes for any size order lol- so just give em a little more time. Atmosphere… I mean its just a take out joint in the middle of a dying strip mall.. Doubt theyll be around much longer but overall good food, good people!
One of my favorite places for the bento box lunch specials. You get a lot of food and the prices are great. Used to work locally, but now continue to order from home as well. Food is always fresh, rolls are great, sauces are on point. The Chinese food is fantastic too. Hopefully a place that I can keep returning to for a long time. The staff is mostly friendly and accommodating as well.
New Century Kitchen
Have been coming here since 2011, though took a long break as I was no longer working in the area. The food is just as good now as it was then. Delicious sauces, dishes always hot, great portion size, and prices. The establishment is very clean and workers are always friendly. Glad I'm back in the area so I can treat myself more often again!
Been a while since I had Chinese takeout food this great. Traveling back from east end, made a stop over and dine in. There’s only 2 tables, one for table of two, other table of four. Curry chicken 9.9/10. Sauce just needs a pinch more thickening. But the flavors, wow. Very delicious. Beef with garlic sauce. 10/10. Kids are the toughest food critic. Will not eat unless the flavors are great and the beef is tender. It’s devoured. Great portion of beef with right balance of veggies. Broccoli blanched perfectly. Celery cooked just right, not too soft, not too raw. Same with carrots and snow peas. Excellent cooking technique. Flawless execution. General Tso chicken. 10/10. One of the best takeout gen tso chicken ever had. Very crispy, not too much batter, right amount of chicken meat ratio. The star of the show. The egg rolls. 10/10. This place now sets the new bar what 10/10 is. Not too thick on the wrapper, wrapped nicely, great ratio of pork and cabbage, fried perfectly. Fresh frying oil. Egg rolls are usually too greasy, old rancid oil, too much cabbage, thick wrapper, or not wrapped tightly. There’s absolutely nothing to improve on this egg roll. I haven’t had a phenomenal egg roll like this since 1980’s. Reminds me of the old egg rolls before NYC changed all the cooking rules in 90’s. Service: 10/10. Kind and personally delivered our food to the table. Actual wait service. This is our new lunch pit stop whenever we head back out east. Too bad they’re so far away, we need a phenomenal takeout place like this in Nassau. They should consider upscaling to a full Cantonese restaurant if they make Chinese American food this good.
Slurp Ramen
Grabbed lunch here today and was very happy. I had the chicken karaage rice bowl + pork bun, my friend had the smooth ramen + edamame. His broth was great, my chicken was perfectly crispy, and the pork bun? Exquisite. Staff was really friendly and we didn't have to wait long for food.
Nice spot in a shopping center with parking in front. The soy sauce ramen with fried chicken tasted average. The soup base was watery & not much texture as a Ramen soup should be. Our group of 10 rode 52 rides from Lake Success to indulge in a bowl of ramen. Majority opinion was good or average, not great. Our high expectations fell short today. Likely need to try a different dish on future visit to be fair.
Bambū
Great flavor and pricing. Highly recommend the loaded fries with the ribeye. I just wish the bread was different for the banh mi. It was a little dry and flaky.
Casual dining spot, welcoming atmosphere with friendly service. Tried the lemongrass tofu vermicelli bowl which was good (8/10). The grilled chicken garlic noodles were not what we expected, more cheesy than saucy but pretty good (7/10). The banh mi fries were good especially covered in sauce which was delicious. Also tried the potato twist which was a little bland on its own but great with sauce. I had the passion fruit tea which I enjoyed and my girlfriend liked her hazelnut mocha Vietnamese iced coffee.
