Red Tiger Dumpling House
Stopped in based on high reviews. It didn't look very impressive inside however the staff was friendly and the food was priced fair and was extremely delicious. We got the scallion pancakes with pork, curry chicken dumplings, kingfu bun, walnut buns, and shrimp dumplings. It came with free soup dumplings. We would buy it all again, as everything tasted amazing. Food ended up costing about $20 a person which we thought was very fair considering the flavor and quality.
Food is always consistently good here, we make it a point to always stop here when we are in the area. Our family usually orders 5 crab and pork soup dumplings to start. Boys love the dried pan fried noodles with an extra order of noodles!
Splendid Noodle
Food is absolutely amazingly delicious and truly authentic. The hand-pulled noodles are very fresh and the broth it’s served in is aromatic and well seasoned. If I didn’t live in Nassau county, I would be eating there more frequently. My boys have tournaments in Stony Brook and we either eat there or get take-out every time we are in the area. The chefs and the waiter were very friendly and treated you like family. It’s one of my favorite small eats places to go to. Better than all the other ramen places. Highly recommend it!
Ordered take out. I had duck with extra large side of meat. Mostly bones and they forgot my extra side. Otherwise seemed like nice people and food was good.
Hoshi Sushi
My go-to all you can eat sushi place! I bring my friends here often. The sashimi is amazing, flavorful, and fresh and there are many other great menu appetizers/sushi rolls like the salmon skin, miso soup, ice cream. and fried calamari. The service is a hit-or-miss and the last time I went there were several items we ordered that were not delivered so we had to reorder. Be prepared to wait ~20mins after each order. I’d definitely recommend this place however and to me, it’s well worth any wait. Just come with a good amount of time to eat.
I have been going here for over 15 years. This place never disappoints. I never get the all you can eat menu so I can not comment on that. But the rolls are always fresh. Place really needs an overhaul though it's getting kind of old and run down. I am sure their kitchen needs a huge deep clean too. Besides that I will always love this little sushi place. It's even better than the one in patchogue.
