Great food, better prices, fast service. Currently enjoying leftovers from last night due to ample serving sizes.
Great portions, amazing food and great prices !!!!!
Hong Kong
One item was missing from our order, a container of hot mustard. It's not a big deal. We ordered two, so we shared the one that was included.
Looks like I may be in the minority here but in my opinion the food is barely passable. The brown sauce is dark and thick and heavy. The chicken is pounded into big extremely thin pieces that seem slimy. The lo mein is dark and dry and has way too much garlic for me. The shrimp with lobster sauce tasted like shrimp swimming in chicken stock (although to be fair, the first time I had it, it was good). The pepper steak was fatty. The one good thing is that the place is clean and the woman at the counter is very friendly. Much nicer than the previous owner who didn’t know how to smile. However, seems like lots of folks like their food so take my review with a grain of salt and go try it for yourself.
Bread Alone Bakery
Bread Alone – Boiceville We stopped here after our go-to diner had too long a wait, and it ended up being a great choice. I got the spicy green egg sandwich with chorizo, and it was fantastic—flavorful, well-balanced, and just the right amount of heat. Even though the place was busy, it was well-organized, very clean, and the staff kept things running smoothly. Everyone was friendly, and the whole vibe was welcoming. Definitely a solid spot whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or hanging out a bit before getting back on the road. Highly recommended!
Only available gluten free option was the wrap, which is not made in house. I got a plain fried egg in a wrap, which was good for what it was however a piece of hair was found in it. My friends got the spicy egg breakfast sandwich and enjoyed! The water cups as note were not clean and smelled like dirty dishwater.
Inn Between
Great comfortable hometown spot. Food is really good. Service is fantastic. The owners care, the staff are just as great. Can't go wrong with this newly recreated cozy eats spot.
Our second night in the area we ate here. We didn't have a reservation and were seated quickly on a Saturday evening. I had the venison burger it was a a huge portion that I could not finish. It was absolutely delicious and a wonderful treat for me. The burger was served with two crispy potato pancakes. A small portion of apple sauce and sour cream came with it. The apple sauce was wonderful. My sister had the inn between burger and opted for the potato pancakes. They were a bit crispier than we would have liked but quite tasty. Our mutual friend had the blacken chicken croissant with I believe waffle fries. This is a very busy spot. They draw a large crowd. There are lots of tables. It's warm and inviting. Our waitress was fairly new and very helpful.
Bamboo
Food was pretty average. The shrimp dish was overloaded with vegetables and had very few shrimp. The fried rice was unlike any fried rice I had before and not necessarily in a good way. The Lo Mein was decent though. All together it was a pretty average Chinese food experience.
FANTASTIC CHINESE CUISINE! I came here with my mom...visiting from Utica! We've never been to Bamboo Chinese restaurant before in Old Forge, and we'd thought we'd try it! WOW! Excellent food!! I got the sliced chicken in garlic sauce and she got the chicken Lo mein! My mom and I are very picky about Asian cuisine, but we were both very happy with our entrees at Bamboo Chinese food in Old Forge! We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves authentic Chinese cuisine!! The portions were big, and the prices were very reasonable! Excellent dining experience!!
Frankie's Taste of Italy
my first time here and I loved it! everything was delicious! 10/10! especially the homemade bread, baked fresh daily! and therefore, of course, the bailey’s white chocolate bread pudding, made with that same bread! 🤤🫠 the chocolate gelato, also made in house, was so good but quite rich, I should’ve gone with 1 scoop instead of 2! 🤭 my entrée, the rigatoni con fungi, was magnificent! 🤌🤌
Wow first time visiting during Snodeo. Will be back! The starter salad with homemade dressing was tasty! The seafood was amazing! Loved the downstairs at the bar we hung out 😎 WILL BE BACK! If you want the best dinner food in Old Forge this is the place!
