I tried to order General Tso Chicken and asked the lady at the counter if they can make it extra crispy + chopped into little pieces. The lady at the counter straight up refused and kept telling me it comes chopped “pretty small already” and kept refusing even though I was asking nicely and paying for my food lol. She was so rude and dismissive and overall nasty. Lo and behold, I get my food and the chicken is in big massive chunks and barely cooked. Disgustingly soft and still pink on the inside. I don’t understand why they couldn’t just make my food the way I wanted it made if i’m paying for it with my own money. Will never go here again.
I love it here! Its a no frills, take-out forward, cash only spot where the food is consistent and slaps everytime. Also, I’ve seen bad reviews talking about the customer service and I don’t understand why - when I call yes it can be a little rough around the edges but she is always thorough, clear and ready to take your order. I’ll keep coming back!

Haven't been in this place for years, Since food deliveries services came around, they got ride of free local delivery, food services were made for long distance orders, local deliveries should always be available and free. Ordered some Ribs and Pan fried pork dumplings. I'll be honest it was the worst Chinese food I have had in years. Ribs were dry as hell, over cooked and looked black as if it was reheated several times. Dumplings are not home made, you can tell, they are bought frozen and God knows what they are made of, but they didn't not look appealing or taste like home made dumplings. Wings were decent, but not the best. Don't be fooled by how food looks, it tastes nothing like what good Chinese food used to taste like. Also the plastic covers for the dumpling sauce is so thing and cheap, it melts off and the sauce spills. This is happening in lost of Chinese restaurant are having issues with, if plastic melts that easily, I wonder if we are consuming it or if it's even safe to use. Dept of health needs to look into these melting Plastic Containers. Rice was not so great, pale in color and small pieces of pork. Why are Chinese restaurants selling yellow rice, Chinese rice is suppose to look like Chinese rice, brown I color because of the dark soy sauce they use to make it, green onions, eggs etc. This rice lacked flavor and was not appealing at all. On top of the fact that prices are high, good quality is low, place seems dirty as well, sad as this used to be my go to stop but it has dropped in free local delivery, quality of food and high price as well as quantity of food given. I gave it one star because food like in my pictures should never be served to anyone, or even charged for.
Noodles were bland, sesame was very chicken stringy and hard to eat, no flavor, no sauce at all. Pan fried wontons were really bad.
Wan's Garden
I don't know why, but this place has really good chicken nuggets. I usually get an order of those alongside my regular stuff, and the food always comes fresh and hot. Can't say much about the atmosphere, but it's your standard Chinese takeout spot. Service is spot-on though, so I'd definitely make this place my go-to for Chinese!
Food is pretty good, but they seem to make up prices. I get the same order every time, which is usually less than $12 (boneless spare ribs combo with lo mein and an eggroll). Yesterday I got my usual order and they charged me $18.50?? The portion was the same, but the food was very burnt and the lo mein made a mess in the bag. I don’t usually write reviews but I was super disappointed because I thought I found my new spot for chinese food. Now, I feel like I’ve been scammed and probably won’t be back.
Lin's Garden
I am so happy. The only restaurant that makes my broccoli soft very soft. The fried rice wonderful 😋. Thank you highly I recommend this place.. delivery very good..
Sesame chicken is delicious and the fried rice is good
King Wah
About as solid as you can get for a local Chinese spot. I felt the food was top notch, albeit a bit on the pricey side. The portions were large enough to almost justify the inflated prices. The lady working during the day is very pleasant, but the man working later in the evening was a bit rude.
I haven't used this restaurant in 10 years since they charged me for an item but didn't give it to me. I called them but they wouldn't fix the issue. I tried them now because they are one of the few that still have Fantail Shrimp and the prices they have online showed they no longer charge 20% more than anyone else. Buyer beware; their prices are really 20% to 30% more for the same food as their competitors. The quality of the food is not better. They stay in business because they are the only Chinese restaurant within walking distance of their location. If you can go somewhere else.

Where do I even begin? This is my first review ever, and I’m not the type to write one—but the experience was just that bad. From the moment I got on the phone, I could tell they were trying to rush me off. No patience, no courtesy—just get the order, hang up, and move on. Maybe that’s why they messed it up in the first place. I ordered boneless ribs. Pretty straightforward. What shows up? Bone-in. When I called back to have it corrected, they not only refused to fix their mistake, but the guy on the phone had a nasty attitude. Completely unprofessional. If you screw up an order, own it. Don’t double down and try to make it the customer’s fault. And to top it all off, the dude had the nerve to get disrespectful. They are quick to confrontational but the moment you match it they folded up like a good little boy. He better watch his mouth because next time I’ll knock his teeth in. It ridiculous! Bottom line: HORRIBLE service, LOW to mid-tier food that’s absolutely not worth the drama. Save your time, your money, and your patience. Plenty of other spots that know how to treat their customers and get orders right.
I never usually right anything I can say I grew up eating here but unfortunately I can say that the custom service is terrible. The way they yell at there’s customers make false promises of fixing the food and they catch nasty attitude instead of listening to the customer. They have no professionalism their food is hazardous. As a New Yorker I can tell you anyone visiting New York please don’t get food from there because there food isn’t good. They rush there orders over the phone get wrong and can’t take responsibility and in person the place is dirty. I can say from personal experience I was disrespected when one the workers she cursed me out on the phone and had little to no patience when making family order . Even when I would make order for my self there was a man who likes to rush his orders and gets a bunch callbacks from customers because he doesn’t know how to listen. Not only is the service terrible but it’s just disappointing how the place is being managed .

Got chicken broccoli, mainly broccoli. Fried rice was bland. But it was fresh for sure.
Very cheap and very fast! The eggplant dish I had was delicious and the orange chicken is the best I've had in Queens! 👑 Street parking is easy to find nearby. The owners are super nice too and there are three tables for very casual inside dining and it looks like they deliver nearby!
Mr Chen Chinese restaurant
I checked the reviews before coming and decided to take the gamble. And yes i regret taking the gamble. I didn't expect any of the flavors to be what they were. Mind you i got what i always get. TLDR: The food is nasty and the service at atmosphere does not bring it up.
Honestly there are so many better Chinese places. Way too much msg. Food is made sloppy and very inconsistent in flavor & not for these prices. Go to yummy Chinese two blocks over.
Randy's
I ordered from here for the first time because I wanted to try their vegan chicken. I got the Vegan chicken with mixed vegetables and it was pretty good. However I would say if you're vegetarian or vegan Coco Lin is the place to go. The vegan chicken has a better texture and the flavor is much better.
Affordable and good vegetarian selection. Go for the vegan chicken and not beef
Sze's Garden
Sze’s Garden Layout/atmosphere *Five tables Service *Slow Food/drink *Kung Pao Chicken with white rice - good; some spice; vegetables (especially mushrooms) were cooked properly with the sauce
Very reliable local Chinese food no thrills, but good price and no stomach ache
Yummy Chinese 美味
My first time I decided to try 5 fried ‘shrimp rolls’, not knowing that each roll is kinda big, so if you are hungry and also looking for a snack or appetizer with a balance of vegetables and meat, for sure this is roll. The shrimps and the cabbage are tender and tasty. The roll was perfectly fried and not at all soaked in oil like in other places. I recommend this roll for sure. My second time (the next day), being a person that likes vegetable stir fry, I wanted to risk more so I picked from the menu ‘shrimps and mixed vegetables’. A meal with a mix of like 5 vegetables with carrots, onions and a couple of more greens and white ingredients. A fair amount of tender shrimps, the right amount of sauce in the stir fry and a cup of white rice that felt soft and warm. Also the lady is kind, she seems real caring with her business. Great meal : )
Ordered broccoli plain in brown sauce for $7. There was no sauce just clumps of brown something and lots of oil. Had no flavor.
Beijing
As a local and this is my go to spot for Wonton Soup they have the freshest wontons everytime I order, their Eggrolls are always tasty(never have the freezer taste) and have a good fried rice. When I order I usually get the combo chicken and broccoli and pork fried rice egg roll. They are the nicest staff always with smiles on their faces and they’ve been here for years and it’s a great spot that’s close by. I typically order 2-3 times every couple weeks and they’re consistently good, Thank You for being Ridgewood staple
My first time ordering from this restaurant,I got 140$ worth of Chinese and Japanese food trusting the reviews, highly disappointed I don't understand why and how they have such a high rating, food wasn't good neither Japanese or Chinese. sesame chicken tasted like it was refried over and over, dry and mushy, shrimp not deveined making whole Mei fun disgusting, sushi party platter was way overpriced and very fishy, not good chicken wings ok but french fries were very greasy. Overall most of the food landed in the garbage out of 4 people nobody like it.
