Ate at their locations all the way from LA to NY. The taste is quite consistent across branches. The decor and quality of the dishes are solid. As the name suggests, their main focus is on drinks, but the skewers are also good. I really like their grilled pork intestine. It’s crispy on the outside while still retaining that juicy, meaty texture. Most of the skewers are small and perfect to pair with alcohol. It’s a nice spot to hang out with friends over drinks and some bites every now and then

Visited Little Skewer around 7:30 PM and, as expected, had quite a wait. But with the lively atmosphere, the anticipation only built up the excitement for the meal ahead. The live singing added a fun, energetic touch, making the wait more enjoyable. For appetizers, we started with the Grilled Cold Noodles, which had a nice chewy texture but could use a bit more flavor to really stand out. Cold noodles have roots in northeastern China, where they are often grilled with sauces and spices for a balance of chewy and crispy textures. Now skewers, or chuan (串), have a long history in Chinese cuisine, originating from the street food culture of northern China, particularly in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. These grilled delights were traditionally made with lamb, seasoned with cumin, chili, and other bold spices, reflecting the region’s love for robust flavors. Over time, skewers became a nationwide favorite, evolving with different regional influences and ingredients. At Little Skewer, we got to experience this tradition firsthand with a variety of grilled skewers, including beef, lamb, chicken gizzard, fish tofu, pork, and cauliflower. Each skewer was grilled to perfection, with juicy, flavorful bites. The cauliflower was a nice surprise charred just right, adding a smoky, slightly crunchy contrast to the meats. While the seasoning was delicious, some skewers leaned a bit on the sweeter side for my preference, so I’ll be going for the spicier options next time. The Golden Broth Beef was definitely a highlight this type of broth is inspired by the sour and spicy flavors found in Sichuan and Guizhou cuisine, known for their love of pickled ingredients, chili, and numbing Sichuan peppercorns. The fatty beef, thin vermicelli noodles, wood fungus, sausage, and cabbage all came together beautifully in a rich and fragrant soup with an addictive spicy-sour kick. To complement our meal, we went with their 9-shot special, choosing peach, lychee, and osmanthus. Osmanthus has been used in Chinese teas and desserts for centuries, known for its floral aroma and subtle sweetness. The peach was sweet and aromatic, the lychee had a lovely floral note without being overpowering, and the osmanthus was delicate but a little too subtle in taste. Definitely a fun and unique way to enjoy the meal! This is a spot that blends great food, drinks, and an inviting atmosphere. The combination of well-seasoned skewers, comforting broths, and live music makes it a place worth revisiting. It’s a fantastic place to enjoy the rich, diverse history of Chinese skewers and hot dishes in a modern, vibrant setting. Still plenty on the menu to explore—already looking forward to my next visit!

We ordered a set of 4-5 for the 4 of us. Chose the mala/spicy broth. The 3 beef options were all great, and the ingredients were fresh, and the broth paired very well with rice. They do not have too many of your “expected” hotpot ingredients but good enough for a satisfying meal. The only thing is the seating where they were trying to simulate the traditional/casual seating while eating hotpot but it may not be very comfortable given that it’s low and your legs might keep hitting the table, especially for tall people. Overall we enjoyed the meal, the interior deco was nice, and would recommend it for a different style hotpot in Flushing!

Zha Zha Beef, a recent addition to Flushing’s dining scene, offers an authentic Chengdu hotpot experience that has quickly garnered attention. The menu boasts a variety of broths, including the signature spicy hotpot and a unique old-style sauerkraut option. Diners can choose from an array of fresh beef cuts, such as ribeye and tender beef, as well as traditional organ selections like beef heart and tripe. Since its opening in October 2024, the restaurant has become a popular spot, often drawing crowds eager to savor its flavorful offerings. For an authentic and lively hotpot experience in Queens, Zha Zha Beef is a noteworthy destination.

Spicy, satisfying, and totally worth coming back for 泡菜比兔子好吃,兔子有点腥 服务满分💯 This place is so delicious—an absolute hidden gem for authentic Sichuan cuisine! I came here for lunch, but I can imagine it gets super busy in the evenings. They have a great variety of dishes, and the prices are very reasonable. If you have the chance, you should definitely give it a try!

A great place for spicy dishes! The flavor profile for each dish was fantastic. Everything felt fresh and the spices were vibrant. The peppercorns are so tasty and give a great numbing sensation. My only minor complaint is that there wasn't enough protein in the dish. Service was fairly good. It got a bit slow nearing the end. And most of the cups on the table were dirty when we got there. Overall, would recommend!

I tried Yin Ji a few times with take out to avoid any wait in line, and finally dine in there for a breakfast on Monday morning around 10am, plenty of seats. I had different types of Chang Fen including marinated beef, chive shrimp, fish filet. They were all really good, I like how fresh their ingredients are, including the crispy lettuce. Also had different type of congee, my favorite is the pork liver one, the liver was made very tender and flavored well. I had good dine in experience as well, the server gave us small cups to share our congee and our HK milk tea when we dine there with group of four. Overall, high quality of food, reasonably priced and good service.

It is quite famous for Chang fen. The Flushing branch does not have many tables, so you have to wait during lunchtime. I ordered shrimp and pork chives chang fen each, and they were really delicious as they are famous. The taste of Congee was not impressive, and I don't think I will order it again. I would visit again just to eat Chang fen.

This may actually be the best food cart in NYC... 2$ gets you a wide assortment of freshly grilled skewers... my favorites are the lamb and chicken hearts, (just spicy enough), but I need to try them all! Nice guys, too.

Best bbq skewers around!!! Always love stopping by this cart when I stay in Flushing!! Update…Hands down the best food cart anywhere!! I just returned to Flushing at the end of January to the beginning of February to celebrate the New Year and these people were out in the freezing cold weather and snow to serve their loyal customers!!! You guys are AWESOME!! I can’t wait to return!

Authentic boiled fish. If you aren’t a big fan of spicy foods, I highly recommend the tomato flavor. Skewers were good too. The plate is filled with other side dishes you can choose along with the fish you picked!

Very tasty and authentic! Ordered less spicy with fragrant spicy flavor and they were not very spicy, right at the acceptable and enjoyable level. We did not order sea bass as our waiter doesn’t recommend it - sea bass can be tougher in texture. Scallops with conch in the shell was so delicious, worth the price. Will definitely be back!

Cash only. Overall the taste was good, slightly above the average, somehow homemade style. But the pricy was also slightly high. We had several dishes, sour-spicy soup, fried flat noodles with beef, steamed ribs, steamed chicken feet, steamed egg yolk custard buns, and fried veg dumplings. ✨Recommend: Sour-spicy soup, steamed egg yolk custard buns

The service was fast and efficient. I like that you can have Dimsum anytime. The seafood crispy noodles was short on sauce and a tad peppery to my liking, but not a deal breaker. I loved the pork spareribs from the Dimsum menu.

We ordered the garlic grilled fish and the dry pot cauliflower, and both dishes were absolutely spot-on. The grilled fish was flavorful and tender, with the garlic adding a deep, aromatic kick that lingered beautifully. The spice level was just right—enough to bring the heat, but still let the flavors shine through. And the service is good too!

The food is absolutely amazing. If you’re a spicy food lover I recommend coming here, ever since I came here for the first time I feel like my sense of taste for spicy food has gotten more intense. Also the customer service are also very good, the employees are nice and listens very well.

Will definitely be returning! Jack O was our server- very personable and guided us with some great selections! Went here for a date night and was not disappointed. Tried the pork soup dumplings, fried beef dumplings, pork ribs, Brussels sprouts, and wagyu fried rice. Dumplings were amazing and was thinking about them days after the visit. Pork truly did fall off the bone- these do have a dry rub on them vs a sauce. Brussels sprouts were fried perfectly- great flavor. The rice was probably our least favorite of the meal. Beef was great, but wanted more flavor in the rice. A chili oil would’ve been nice with that. Very full/lively- and tables are fairly close together in the small space so was quite loud at times.

I had dinner at Pinch Chinese and ordered the beef soup. Unfortunately, it was too fatty for my taste, which detracted from the overall experience. That said, the rest of the food was delicious and well-prepared, and the service and atmosphere were great. I'd recommend the restaurant but might skip the beef soup next time.

I went during Chinese New Year, food was alright not too shabby, there wasn’t really anything special about it. The aesthetic was pretty nice, all black with glass roof that’s reflective. The service was pretty bad although the servers were nice, they kept saying they ran out of certain items which caused us to miss out on a lot of the things we wanted to eat, furthermore when they switched to an alternative that also ran out. They were not at all prepared and I probably won’t go there again. Not only that but since we were a large group, it was really inconvenient for us to eat the food since it was all spread out.

If you are Fuzhouness, you gotta go here. Save up some money first though, because this is a luxury Fuzhou cuisine restaurant. We had some classic dishes: lychee pork, Buddha jump over wall soup, crab and rice roast. It was around $130 per person, which is definitely a bit expensive but worth it for a special occasion meal. We made a reservation since it was for Christmas night. They were relatively busy so it was recommended though not necessary.

I was visiting the area on a rainy day and was a bit hungry. I was nearby and came upon this place. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly and welcoming host and seated immediately. They have 2 floors of seating and a vast menu. All items are listed by category. Many delicious authentic Chinese dishes you can choose from. There are some hot items that require to be pre-ordered in advance, such as their soy sauce chicken, Dungeness crab, etc. The food and service was good. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving Chinese or seafood. Definitely will be back to explore other dishes!

Food was really good especially the salt squid and roast duck, but like I said to my bf too over priced and I didn't like that they demanded more tip when all they did was take the order and drop the food on the table, he gave a good tip and to still demand more was really tacky. He also asked for a drink menu they only serve tea and sodas. Did love the fish pond.

Dynamite! Great Shanghainese cuisine with many highlights! Pan fried soup dumplings were so nice! Braised fish tail, pork chop over fried rice cakes, and chili scrambled eggs were a great way to start a Sunday! So many more dishes to try, we will surely be back for round two soon.

I never thought I can find a restaurant like this, with amazing food, whatever you order, this restaurant never disappointed you. The first time I came to here, just ordered 4 dishes and 2 snacks, authentic Shanghainess food! Plus, the owner obviously kind and gorgeous. I recommended all the snacks and pork definitely!
