New Peking Kitchen
As in today June 24.2024 I had a shrimp broccoli with white rice and it was so upsetting because I use to love ordering food here but now i won’t even order here anymore because of this and how weird it tasted. Dont recommend this place anymore!!!!
Food was ok, but below average. The main problems are: 1. The prices are a decent amount more than they have on their site and most pictures. (My total was gonna be 15.50 going by their website, but was 24.50) 2.The delivery driver was rude. I only had 25$ since the total was supposed to be less, I gave it to him and he kept his hand out and said “Is that it? Where’s the Tip?” I said I don’t have anymore and he told me to check. Then he said “Next time, make sure you have a tip”. I saw another review talking about him but didn’t think he’d still be working there or deliver mine. Won’t be ordering from here again.
Sea Star
Ordered a house special with jumbo Shrimps the jumbo shrimps was so hard to bite into I cracked a tooth I will not order from this place again 👎🏻
Very tasty food! Nice crew!
New Spring Garden
My family and I’s go to spot to order from! Its delicious and comes fast if you are around the neighborhood
This review is from 2013-2014 incident. Used to be my go to place. I spend tons of $$$$ at this establishment over the years. However, once the owners change .... their customer service went down hill. I don't eat pork and I ordered vegetable egg foo young and had it delivered. Tired after a long day at work, I was ready to eat when I noticed it had reddish pink meat in the eggs. Upon inspection I realized it was pork. So I called the restaurant and complained to the new owner's teenage daughter who told me to bring it in and I would get my money back. I did inform her I would come later in the day as I was exhausted. I went a few hours later and the owners wife was there. She accused me of ordering the item (I don't eat pork or red meat, so why would I order something I would never eat, uhu?) & to make matters worst she asked if I reheated the food because the cheap syrofoam container had steam holes on the top it. Ummm, duh if you put the food while it's super piping hot it will make a hole! It's a shame because they used to make the best shrimp egg rolls and best vegetable egg foo young in the neighborhood. I will never give them my business again and have told everyone I know about this incident. I feel for a lousy $6-$7 dish, they lost a customer because of ignorance.Mon
New Lin's Kitchen
Love their food but more than that I love their service. Today I placed the order twice by mistake. The restaurant promptly called to confirm if it was intended. Honest businesses like this deserve our support. I always order from their website directly. Food got delivered in less than 15 minutes, piping hot.
I order here all the time. these people forgot the white rice to my egg foo Yung and no sauce for my dumplings. then I called to tell the woman only for her to tell me she can send it that she's sorry but I would have to pay the driver. this place is beyond nasty and ghetto
Jing Fu House
UPDATE 3/9/24: The delivery driver complained AGAIN about receiving a $3 tip on a $20 order. Like sure, it isn't the greatest tip in the world, but considering the travel time to get from Jing Fu House to my workplace is THREE MINUTES, I feel like a $3 tip is fair. Dude wouldn't leave until we gave him more money. Absolutely insane behavior. I don't care HOW GOOD the food is there. That kind of behavior is ridiculous. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I work nearby and order food from here pretty regularly. No matter what I order always tastes good and will continue to order from here. The spiced rib tips are my favorite. It's actually a little spicy which I love and not very saucy, but still very flavorful. I've also tried their fried chicken, their barbecue chicken, their wings, their bbq rip tips, egg foo young, and many more dishes and they were all VERY good. The only problem I ever had here is a few months ago with a delivery driver who was insistent that I tip him more than $2 for an $18 bill (with tax). Don't get me wrong, I'm all for tipping people fairly, but it's only a 2-minute drive from there to my workplace or a 6-minute walk. My manager who bought the food only had a $20 bill so the remaining $2 was for the tips, but the delivery driver wanted more. And to be fair, my manager ALWAYS tips more than $2 for the same amount of food, but just couldn't this day and the delivery driver did not leave until I reached into my own wallet and gave him 3 more dollars. Like what was that about? I was pretty surprised by this behavior and know for sure that the bill wasn't more than the $18 because he showed me the receipt at the time of delivery and still wanted more money. So yeah, that was pretty weird, but I've still ordered a few times since then without issue and will continue to do so. Oh, and one more thing. Although their menu says that you will get a free drink with a minimum order of $17, sometimes they do not give it to you or will not give you it even if your order is at $16.95. If you know your order is above $17, sometimes it's best to just ask them on the phone to make sure they give it to you. Also, for the past year they have been giving this tea/juice drink in a sealed plastic cup by default. It's pretty good, but if you want a can soda, you have to specifically ask for it.
Most of the food is good service is so fast. The atmosphere is bad mainly because all the people around this area don’t really know how to behave the employees do their job. Get it done fast and efficient.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
Would give 0 stars if possible. I am currently on a 30 + min wait after placing my order in the drive-thru. I am watching 2 employees standing outside of the front door, smoking cigarettes, and playing on their phone. We litterally ordered 2 chicken sandwiches. Why is it taking so long? Oh, I know, nobody is actually working. 4 different employees have walked outside since we have been here. Update took 46min only after I walked in there to check on it. Our receipt said the order was placed at 7:10. We got our food at 7:56. The cook was the one outside smoking with the cashier. I go in there, and half the people in the kitchen are eating and playing on their phone.
I ordered at 10:20 PM. Their website says closed at eleven I arrive at ten forty to be told that they can't do anything they're closed. I cannot get in touch with customer service. Where's my money?? Never, ever, ordering from Popeyes ever again. The whole crew was extremely rude. Told me to go elsewhere while trying to get my refund for inaccurate website information.
Sun Hing
Today at 2:30 I went to buy some food there and some wings that look like artificial chicken wings. You should visit the health department
This place USED to be good. What made it good was that you’d get a soda with a $10 or $20 purchase, you’d get fortune cookies, all the sauces, and the food was pretty good. you don’t get ANY of that anymore. Chicken lo mein tastes burnt, the beef and broccoli is soggy, service is always rude. Go anywhere else for your Chinese food. This place has gone down the tank. Do not recommend
Ming Star
My family and I have been ordering here for over 20 years. It's a chinese take out restaurant - nothing fancy. The food is consistently good, as well as the prices. They also make some of the best tostones (plantains) with garlic sauce. The staff behind the counter is very nice.
Typical neighborhood Chinese food as distinguished from the sort of food they normally have at home. This is the stuff you know and love - not the stuff you find in Chinatown. In fact most of what appears in their menu is difficult to find in Chinatown and if it is available it's quite different. Even the basics are different. The egg rolls, the fried rice, chop suey. Only the hot and sour soup seems the same. If you want the food you were brought up with, this is the place. Don't go to Chinatown. They have really foreign food there. They have ducks and chickens hanging in the window - even pigs!
New Sing Sheng Kitchen
The frid ship was bad not like the picture not cooked well
This is one of the better Chinese takeout places in the area. The chicken wasn’t soggy and the flavor was good. The combination meal was only $8 and you get a lot of food for that. Try and ignore the homeless people rummaging through the trash inside the restaurant and the food will taste better.
Eatzy Chinese
While in Queens with some Bangladeshi friends, they recommended we try this spot for lunch. Some of us chose the buffet others the lollipop chicken and some mo mo dumplings. The first plates from the buffet were cold, the second plates a little bit warmer. The lollipop chicken was kind of on the dry side. Another one and done spot. Had better Bangladeshi food in the Bronx near me.
Mediocre at best for a Chinese or fusion place. I was really excited to try Eatzy Chinese with my family for the first time in Jackson Heights, but unfortunately, my experience was completely underwhelming at best. First off, the mango lassi was a disappointment—runny and lacking the creamy, yogurt-rich flavor I was expecting. It tasted more like a watered-down mango juice. As for the food, it just didn’t hit the mark. The dishes were lackluster and didn’t have the vibrant, bold flavors you typically expect from Chinese cuisine. Honestly, it felt like something was missing—no strong aroma of fresh cooking, no excitement in the dishes. The whole vibe inside was strange too; there were no other customers eating there, and only one server was attending to everything. It almost felt more like a takeout spot than a restaurant where you could settle in and enjoy a meal. Overall, the atmosphere was pretty uninviting, and the food didn’t impress at all. Definitely won’t be coming back anytime soon👎🏾
Sagar Chinese
We stopped by Sagar Chinese during the past Christmas weekend, a nostalgic spot from our childhood. The menu options and service remain consistent with what we remember, though the food quality isn’t quite as exceptional as it used to be. Still, it’s a good choice for a casual family meal.
Absolutely delicious food .. we were just amazed . Excellent service. I will recommend everyone to come with family and have dinner or lunch . We had great time .. wishing you the best from Canada
Woks
I recently got takeout from woks and it was some of the most authentic and delicious Chinese food I've had in a while. I urge you to try this amazing restaurant. Will be back!
I tried the shrimp pad Thai, and it was fantastic! The noodles were perfectly moist, and the balance of savory and sweet flavors made every bite incredibly satisfying. It's a dish I'd definitely recommend—delicious and enjoyable from start to finish.
