Dumplings & Things
Gem 💎! The noodle soup 🍜 noodles have a chewy-ness & 'elasticity' that resembles a hand-pulled style which is a Huge thing for me when it comes to noodles! The broth is also flavorful, heart-warming yet light / low fat 🐮 Note, the fried dumplings 🥟 seem deep-fried as opposed to pan-fried so I would go with the steamed / boiled next time for health reasons!
First of all, the broth is incredible. They add like sesame oil or something to it and it gives it this like nutty flavor that is soooo good. The noodles and vegetables are perfectly cooked and while I wasn’t blown away by the dumpling’s filling, it was still good. The service was good, and the space was nice enough but I wish they had real utensils.
Empire Szechuan Garden
The most disgusting food I ever ate was from a Chinese restaurant, despite having grown up eating Chinese cuisine. As others have mentioned, the food was extremely chewy because it was undercooked, and some of it tasted like it was frozen. I ordered Hunan chicken, and if you're looking for decent Chinese food, I recommend going to Mr. Wonton instead.
I recently visited this restaurant, a "Sichuan" restaurant, craving their spicy chicken wings. The restaurant was busy, so my order tooka while. Unfortunately, the wings were a huge disappointment. Advertised as "spicy," they lacked any heat, and the texture was underwhelming. This doesn't reflect the authentic, flavorful punch you'd expect from Sichuan cuisine. Overall, wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for a true Sichuan experience, especially the spicy chicken wings.
