China House
Very fast and friendly service. Delicious, hot, piping food!
Waited 30 mins extra for the food even tho ordered in early. Not a ‘sorry’ when he handed me the bag. I don’t think he even looked at me.
Rio Grande Tex Mex Grill
The restaurant was cold, so I assume they turned the heat way down overnight. Unimpressive ambience. Chips and salsa were decent. I wasn't crazy about the sour mix used in my Margarita. Tasted cheap and store bought. I had a taco salad, which was okay except for the shell which had a bitter and rancid flavor. My spouse enjoyed his fish and rice plate. Overall rating at a 6/10. Won't be hurrying back.
Always great food, always speedy and courteous service. The salsas and chips to start make it inevitable that to go boxes will be needed, and there's no complaints there. Always a go to spot!
Tony's Pizzeria & Sports Bar
Was very excited to try the new buffet in hopes to make it a weekly spot. Probably came at a bad hour and it was slow around it so assumably that's why all was old and quite dried up. Was served a glass of water with a crack in it from top to bottom chipped at top.. plate stack had a squished bug between them (it happens just got a different one) pasta salad had tags still attached to the cut tomatoes in it... pizza could not eat had to be there for hours sitting. I don't wanna rag on everything.. The chicken was pleasant. I was able to eat a leg. Otherwise I tried a few items, riggies seemed to taste like red sauce plain.. Server never asked how anything was, just stood at bar eating. Also oddly the price is 15.95 each which would be 31.90 plus tax but the total on the receipt was 33.18 plus tax and I paid cash..( im aware of service fees for credit cards) id rather eat a smaller quantity of items with higher quality. I paid the tab and came home to make dinner instead, waste of 40 bucks.
I heard they started a Buffet. me and some family wanted to try it. never again. start off with the food. the food was cold and little to nothing tasted good. the riggies were terrible..tasted like canned sauce. The vegetables on the salad bar were frozen. The service was not too good. the bartender walked by our table constantly as we had empty cups never asked if we wanted refills. never checked on us once. while she would go to other tables and socialize for a few minutes. price was a little outrageous for the quality of frozen food.
Spicy Thai II and Sushi
Always thought South Park Hill to be a desert for Asian food, but was pleasantly surprised by the local favorite Spicy Thai and Sushi. Despite the inconspicuous appearance, the Thai food and sushi here were as tasty as many other more notable Thai restaurants and sushi places in town. Besides these, their Chinese entrees were also quite good. Certainly a hidden gem for the neighborhood and worth a try when you are around next time. It is right by Dang Soft Serve Ice Cream.
Moved to Aurora from Orlando, FL. I'm slowly trying to find some good eats places to later frequent. This place will be on my list. Had the Peanut Curry noodles, Eel nagiri, and fried shumai. All were great! They also have my favorite plum wine. They have several East Asian options. Cute spot, decent portion and prices.
