New Long River
Great place! You get your food promptly and always taste delicious.
Sometimes the wait for delivery is long; when you follow up the female owner is rude and tries to lecture you. I've had takeout from many; this stands alone for making you feel you don't want to order from them again.
Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle
I genuinely enjoy this place and always order the same thing, the R8. Occasionally, I’ll get a drink, like their green tea, and the soup has an incredible savory flavor. I bring my friends and family here so often that they already know my order by heart. However, I’m not a fan of their tipping policy. While I understand the importance of tipping, they often expect a larger tip than I’m able to give on some days. You’d think that as a regular who supports the business frequently, this wouldn’t be an issue, but it still feels a bit awkward. I’m hesitant about coming back because of it, but I’ll see how things go.
Very fun experience and great food! We have never had Chinese food like this before, the 10 second noodles were great (kind of a mix between hot pot and pho). The stewed beef was amazing! So much flavor and so tender. The broth was delicious — we got the original and the golden broths. Highly recommend the golden broth, it was so flavorful! We will be back to try another flavor soon! Yum!
King Wok
I called at 10:30 to place an order for delivery told me it’s to far they can’t do it mind you it’s only 5 mins away he said he has 6 orders to do and I’m confused that it’s right there is something going on I don’t know about this is the second restaurant that has done this to me .
Placed an order for pickup. The person taking the order did not appear to be concerned about the order. The order was placed. When food was picked and taken back to our location, the order was incomplete. Upon inquiry, we were today we got the wrong order but still charged us the full price. When told the charged full price anyway. When questioned, they then accused the pick-up person of stealing the change. They absolutely refused to consider their error. Then they said the misunderstanding between person taking orders and the cook. I said that my not my concern. I asked how are you going to fix your error, but there was no response. I called back 20 minutes later to no response. The dismissive attitude at King Wok is not a place for me.
New Golden
Never came, 0 explanation. Kept telling me “10 more minutes.” Ended up waiting two hours. I do not recommend anything here.
my 1st time here. ever. & their small portions are huge. i ordered Lo Mein, a small size, & it was basically enough for 2. very clean. very patient, as i observed they with other patrons. food's delicious &, as i mentioned, portions are huge. if you never tried them, you should.
Taste Of China
Delivery came promptly. The food was disappointing. The fried chicken was too brown, over fried and so dry and stringy. The pad thai had nothing but noodles, no sprouts, no eggs, no peanuts, no scallions, and too few mini shrimps. The pad thai had no taste except for the lime wedge. My friend said the dumplings were good and the fried rice was just okay. So, with this experience, I will not order from Taste of China again.
Made to order, fresh ingredients! Lunch special chicken with brocoli, white rice and a hot and sour soup for $9. I wish the hot and sour soup was more spicy though
Mi Yue Lou
A low key place that serves legit Fuzhou cuisine. All the dishes we tried are the same as what’s expected from childhood.
The steamed fresh food has changed a lot now. The taste is very good and authentic. The price is affordable. The boss’s attitude is very nice.
Taste of China
This is more of take out place. Food is delicious. There's a few chairs and 2 tables.
My favorite restaurant i try a few different spots but taste of china makes the best general toss chicken yum yum and food is delicious.
E Noodle
I ordered the shumai appetizer. It had very good taste and 4 were in the order. I also ordered a shrimp dish with noodles similar to chow fun noodles. The dish is listed on the menu attached to the front window of the restaurant. However, it is not listed on the paper menu. The noodles were well-prepared and I liked the generous amount of fresh shrimp. The restaurant has several tables for dining in.
Came across this place trying to find a lunch spot outside of the hectic 8th ave Chinatown in Sunset Park. Their congee hit the spot. We ordered the shatin chicken and added century eggs on top. The chicken was tender and fresh. Their rice noodles were swimming in peanut sauce. It was good but could use a little more hoisin. Their fried apps were good too, fried well. Their milk teas not sweetened. You add your own sugar to taste. Other notable dishes were their hearty curry rice, which was tasty. Their fishballs were bouncy and tender. At the end of the meal they provide tokens for the claw machine located at the entrance, which was a nice touch. I'd come back.
86 Noodles
Previous owners retired (after 28 years) and new owners have finally opened. They've immediately doubled the prices. The portions are smaller and the food is less tasty. The takeout container for a full-sized entree wasn't full and even the side of plain white rice was a smaller portion
I live in the area for years and haven’t been here in a while so I decided to try them again. The wings were only 2 1/2 wings / 5 pieces in total. It wasn’t a whole wing was bland yet fried well, the sesame chicken, which I usually love from almost anywhere was I had a taste can’t really can’t explain left my tongue pasty. The house rice was bland. I’m not a big user of soy sauce so I try to just eat it as is I don’t like to add salt. If I don’t really have to usually I don’t, so I just tolerated the rice. Not sure what I paid $44 for. Expensive and not worth it
Happy Garden
They have The. Best. fried wontons ever. They're so well-seasoned and flavorful that you do not need any dipping sauce. I had their vegetable chow fun and it was so delicious! The lady in the front, who I assume is the owner, is soooo very sweet and accommodating. ALSO their hot and sour soup is perfect. I can't wait to try more of their foods. 10000/10
I’m so disappointed in Happy Garden. I have ordered from them religiously for years as my go to for Chinese because the food was mostly pretty good and the prices fair. A friend of mine ordered for me from them through grub hub. We both got a pint of wonton soup, an egg roll, one container of chilli oil to split and a soda which all came out to over $20 so it’s not like they didn’t make money from our order. Upon delivery, we notice one of our soups is missing as well as the chilli oil. So we call back for the soup she sounds annoyed already. Then I mention the chilli oil she said no you have to pay extra for that! Which would’ve never been a problem it’s just my friend must have wrote it in the comments and didn’t realize it was something extra to order. So I said, we’ll pay the .75 cents but not for nothing you forgot half my lunch, would be nice as a .75 cent courtesy. Nope. She took my .75 cents. And she probably didn’t know it was for me since my friend ordered and that I’m a long time customer, who also recommends you to everyone in bay ridge. You just lost so much business over .75 cents because that’s just embarrassing. Shame on you.
Panda Garden
I usually order from here every weekend. But on 8/24/24 I decided to take a walk and go inside to order for the first time . I was totally disgusted and will never eat here again. As I waited around for my food I heard someone sneezing. I got up out the chair and looked in the kitchen due to the door being cracked open and saw one of the staff kneeling on the floor over a tray flowering chicken , not wearing gloves , and sneezing without covering his mouth. His nose was running and he is wiping his nose with his hands !!!!! The same hands he is not wearing gloves and flowering the chicken with. The food is good but I will never eat there again just from seeing this . Do if your reading this and got sick after 8/24/24 eating there you know why. This was so unsanitary and I can just imagine all the other things that go on in that kitchen of nobody is looking because they really get a lot of call in orders .
-Lrg chicken & broccoli 9/10 -Fried baby shrimp 10/10 This is the spot where you dont have to second guess about your food preparation, always like the last. Fried baby shrimp is amazing. Fast delivery too.
Panda
The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They prepare Chinese cuisine and is a takeout with several tables for dining in. I ordered the shrimp and lobster sauce. The shrimp were a nice size. The sauce was very plain and had no meat with several mushrooms. The chicken chow fun had little flavor or taste. The roast pork fried rice was yellow rice with a few specks of roast pork. The wonton soup had little flavor with no meat or vegetables. The dim sum were small. The roast pork egg roll had little pork. The food was very average in taste.
Friendly service, good prices. I got the lunch special, chicken with string beans and pork fried rice. The only small thing is the rice seemed a little undercooked but besides that it was pretty good.
