Potasia Hotpot
Potasia never fails to disappoint me. Their food is amazing and have many options, vegan and other food restrictions. I recommend their sweet potato starch noodles, rice cakes, fish tofu and their sauces and dips are amazing! 6/5 for sure!
Been a bit since we went out to eat and be people because of the cold. We decided to come here to Potasia and get some nice and cozy hot pot! This was my first ever hot pot and I really enjoyed it. We each chose our own soup, I went with the pork leg soup, my friend got the mushroom one. We ordered all our meats and veggies and let me tell you, we ordered a lottt. Juicy balls, lamb, tongue, squid, crab, sausages, corn, baby bok choy, kelp, mushrooms, cabbage, noodles, rice. Man our table was full as you can see. I had the green grape sake and the waiters were attentive for the most part to fill out water and soup. They also have a sauce and apps table in the back. Highly recommend the fungi in vinegar and making your own sauce. At the end we ordered some boba for the road even though we were wayyy to full to drink it. We enjoyed our stay! And hope to be back with more friends.
Chili & Curry
High Fives! i was traveling down the road, just minding my own my own affairs, when chili and curry caught me unaware. i am glad i followed my instincts, this place is a gem! my order: chicken vindaloo with a request for spicy. and drums of heaven. i found something to do for the 1/2 hour estimated time while they prepared this fabulous food. always take it as a good sign they make the freshest stewed delicacies. who am i to say they are the best? i am just gonna do what we all gotta do, Eat! but i can for certain say they did an excellent job making the food, and undoubtedly care for every dish that leaves their kitchen. when i am back next year for work. i will return a few times to check other offerings from this top notch establishment.
Recommend the Veggie Samosas, Mango Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Jakka Noodles & The Basket of Naan. Was not a big fan of the Thai side, like th Basil Ginger Chicken. Service was great. Nice staff from my experience
HAKA
I was initially drawn to Haka by its striking décor. The mural of a dragon added a unique touch, and the teal velvet furniture gave the space a sophisticated vibe. The service was attentive, which is always a plus. However, the restaurant’s attempt to cater to multiple cuisines (Chinese, Indian, Thai, and Japanese) left me feeling confused. It’s often better for a restaurant to focus on perfecting one cuisine rather than spreading itself too thin. One thing I immediately noticed was the lack of beef on the menu, which was disappointing since I was craving Chinese food and usually prefer beef over chicken in Chinese dishes. Additionally, while Haka is a halal restaurant, I was uncomfortable seeing that they serve alcohol, which feels contradictory to their halal branding. Beyond the food, I encountered some alarming cleanliness issues. One of our plates had an orange-yellow stain on it, and the sauces provided with the soup had greasy spoons with oily handles. This lack of attention to hygiene was concerning. To make matters worse, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting—the trash was overflowing, and there was feces smeared on the toilet seat, which I had to clean myself before using. This experience completely killed my appetite. For appetizers, we ordered the corn soup and samosa chaat. The samosa chaat was flavorful and saucy, but it felt like there was too much going on, making it a bit messy. The corn soup, on the other hand, was bland and lacking in corn, with an odd metallic aftertaste that made it hard to enjoy. For the main course, we tried the egg fried rice with vegetables and Hong Kong-style chicken. While the fried rice had decent flavor, it was light on both the vegetables and egg, with only peas and bean sprouts visible. The chicken dish was particularly disappointing. Although the menu promised cashews and spice, the cashews were crushed so finely they were almost undetectable, and the sauce lacked any spice or depth. Most concerning was the unpleasant metallic "warmed over flavor" in the chicken, suggesting it wasn't freshly cooked but rather reheated, which was a big letdown. Overall, Haka feels overpriced for the quality of food and the poor hygiene standards. While the ambiance is lovely, the food itself is subpar, and the cleanliness issues made for an unpleasant dining experience. You’re essentially paying for the décor rather than the quality of the food.

Noodumpling
Dined in this location a few times. The price for the food is a lot higher than what you'd generally expect to pay; some dim sum dishes were smaller than anticipated. The higher prices may hinder many people from actually trying the food in this restaurant. Although, everything I have tasted (so far) was good. You order food at the kiosk (for either take-out or dine-in); no traditional table service. Service was good for the first time, but wasn't the same afterwards. The one person (woman) interacting with the customers appeared to be overworked and tired, which can affect the overall customer service. Restaurant was clean and had a simple, bright, and partly open dining layout. Overall, for the cost of the food, one would expect this restaurant to be more table service oriented and not more of a "modern style fast-casual" Chinese take-out (with several seating). You may try this restaurant and decide for yourself.
It cost around $20 for a decent fusion Taiwanese noodle dishes. The noodle itself was thin with distinct chewy texture. I liked it. The broth was rich and flavorful. Small plates i ordered were the bite size pan fried soup dumplings, regular soup dumplings, steam veggie dumplings and some skewers. Bite size dumplings was thin skin with meat filings. It reminded me pan fried wontons. The fillings inside veggie dumplings were a very good combinations of verities . Yummy. Skewers were on the sweeter side. The meat was tenderly prepared with aromatic spices. Worthy of a try.
Kunga Kitchen
I recently dined at Kunga kitchen, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with subtle touches of Asian decor that set the tone perfectly. The menu offered an impressive variety of dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. I tried the fried momo and the noodles, both of which were absolutely delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. The staff were attentive and friendly, always ready to recommend dishes or answer questions about the menu. They made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. Overall, this is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves Asian cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
Wonderful exquisite excellent food! We came all the way from Texas and found this superb restaurant!! Me and my family absolutely loved it! The service was top notch and genuine as well✨
Taste of Mumbai
I love the taste of this restaurant. Goat curry is a MUST try. Tomato chicken curry gives a kind of refreshing acidity flavor. Another vegetable dish is potato and cauliflower dish. Naan texture is soft not chewy. I love to eat Naan with Goat curry sauce. Even my kids who is always picky eating like to eat this restaurant. But there is one thing to remind, this restaurant is a little bit crowded during weekend lunch hour.
I absolutely love this little restaurant. I order here often for takeout and I occasionally dine-in. The service is always very good. The food is delicious. I always get their Gobi Manchurian because it's one of my favorite things on the menu.
Sakana
Let's start with service phenomenal listen she does the work of 3 people take out hostess and server and she is quick too very nice helpful great personality😀 the food comes out perfectly timed between appetizers and dinner. And you have options if your with people who don't like sushi the offer Chinese food and certain hibachi dishes but I loved the sushi it was delicious 😋 👌 and tge appetizers. Great Wok
Quick grab and go kind of place for me. Great lunch special deals and pickup is always ready within 10 mins. Ordered the General Tso's chicken with pork fried rice and Hot & sour soup. Well flavored. I added a little pepper to my soup for an extra kick.
This was by far the worst lo Mein I’ve ever eaten in my whole life beside Panada express ! I work in Hicksville and I’m no a 12 hour shift so i was starving so i decided to order house lo mein from here … BIG MISTAKE ! Their was absolutely no flavor … it taste like card board .. the shrimp was DEF not fresh and the and pork was so hard i could barely chew it … beyond the meat I’m just very shocked on how much a lack of flavor ia had smh .. 10out it 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ! Currently calling Uber to get a credit expeditiously 🤮🤮🤮
SHANGHAI XPRESS
Hey this place deserves a 5 star review...The chef provides good portions and I really love how the food actually comes out with a nice hint of spice. The balance of spice is difficult to find at other similar style restaurants. Another thing I like about this establishment is the fact that the food is not excessively oily. I tried the beef and it was waaaay better then I expected I hope to try it again soon.
Okay I hate to be the one to bash any place. But they are literal trash. I wanted lomein and I felt like it was desi noodles LOL. Their dumplings were like literally bread in a shape of a moon. Also extremely overpriced. Chinese food is cheap! I wouldn’t mind if it was expensive but the food is literally trash. Idk how they run. Don’t waste your money here
Halal ChengDu Chinese Kitchen
Loved the restaurant. Fast service and friendly staff. Wonton soup was delicious. Egg fried rice was good and had a unique taste. Chicken was clean delicious and well cooked. Chicken dumplings were excellent, they were fluffy, light and tasty. Plus point it’s 100% halal.
Good place to order halal Chinese. Food taste good. You ask before you order. Food is fresh. Nothing to complain about. Not for complainers. Don’t ask for bathroom because this is a take out place. Bathroom for employees only so they serve you with clean hands. Public always dirties the bathroom. Wash your hands at home.
Tom's II Kitchen
Changed Receipes On Egg Foo Young Gravy Very RudeYelled At Ma As If Cheated Her Out Of Her Life Savings I've been a customer for 40 years..I remember when original Tommy and his wife Nancy ran the place. My nephew growing up hung out with Tommy's nephews as a kid sometimes playing In toms 11 kitchen Area I say that they had the best egg foo young gravy around. I orderd take out Schuasn wonton which I asked the person taking my order to cut back on the spicy as itvwas to hot.i couldn't eat it the egg foo young palettes we re microwaved as well Thev egg foobyoung graves recipe was change into something I didn't care for at all.thevwgg roll was not deep fried but microwaved and thehitvand sour soup had no vinegar it was devoid of any sour flavor .I only called up and mentioned the egg foo young heavy hiw itvwas nitbthe same.I was respectful spike on a l I w. Volume.and was told "You don't like it fond an I thermoplastic vice. This high disrespect directedcat a 40 year customer. I thought their as attitude was worse than the food.Im talking their advice and finding another place.
We are well traveled, educated New Yorkers, we know what good Chinese food tastes like and this is NOT it!!!! Do you think that this is what Americans want to eat? WE DONT!!! I knew John when he owned this restaurant and his food was outstanding! $50 for lunch later…. What happened to this place? The food used to be excellent. No pork in the fried rice. Just brown. No flavor in the pork dumplings. Just bland food. My order was to be delivered at 2:00. At 2:20 I called, they forgot my order. They said they will cook it quick. It tasted like it. What a disappointment. Never again. You ruined this establishment.
New Leung How Kitchen
Full disclosure: I've never had shrimp w/lobster sauce before, that said I found the dish flavorless, maybe it's supposed to be bland? There was 5 jumbo shrimp in it which was good...if they had flavor? I found the lobster sauce phlegmy, like something dripping from the mouth of the Alien in the Alien move, maybe thats the way its supposed to be?? The pork fried rice was a little dry could have used more onion/scallion to up the flavor, it did have small pieces of ribs in it. The boneless ribs were tasty tho. I won't write it off, I'll just try my usual go to dish to see if it's good next time.
Every single item is bland and flavorless, which is very strange. They are clearly competing on price (9.75 lunch combo) but just need more sauce, more salt, more something. One of the worst American Chinese places around as it is now. Hope they can read this and fix their seasoning.
