The only good thing in dolgeville is this place. I wish I could give it 10 stars.

Easy to get to from Downtown Utica just quick drive down NYS Route 5S. The Kitlas has been open since 1939 and it’s a third generation business and Tom the owner being very personable also an outstanding chef. They have all the original furnishings in great condition and adds to the warm ambiance. The music selection spans many decades and was one of the best I’ve heard at a restaurant. I love seeing history through the pictures on the walls. Excellent value that you hardly see anymore in the restaurant industry. The food and drinks were amazing! The total with tax was $110 and included four cocktails, two appetizers, two entrees, and one dessert. The service was outstanding. Our waitress Christina was outgoing, making us feel very welcome, and made recommendations for the cocktails and made them herself, and shared stories about the history of the business. The menu has a variety of items that range from American to Polish to Italian to Greek. The onion rings are awesome, fresh cut onions, breaded in house battter coming with a homemade honey mustard chipotle dip. Flatbread with broccoli and mozzarella is a solid item. The chicken soup was like mom used to make. The riggies came with a thick sauce and had chicken and sausage. The dessert is also homemade and a great treat! This it the type of business that should be supported often by locals for lunch and dinner.

Fish frys, Overall, it was ok. The fish was good. The Mac and Chese was different, really sharp cheese taste (I personally didn't like it, and i love mac and cheese)! The coleslaw was ok, very average. Unfortunately, the fries were cold and soaked with old grease taste. This happens when the fries sit around in the kitchen for a long period of time and get cold. They take on this real greasey taste and texture. Overall we probably won't go back there for a fish fry, but maybe try some other food. We'll see!

Just rolling thru town looking for a good relatively cheap place for asian-quisine buffet. Wasnt expecting much but was BLOWN away. Everything was good, service was quick and it was busy. I see why. And for the price, it was absolutely fair For anyone that likes/absolutely loves crab ragoon, try it with the peanut butter chicken sauce, your welcome

There was a wide variety available to select from. Although some dishes were great like the dumplings and shrimp/crab combo, the mac and cheese was spoiled. The salmon and chicken on the stick needed bit more salt but the dessert was good and the sushi was a lovely surpirse.

Good food. They really fill the containers, like they REALLY pack them. Keep that in mind when ordering rice or noodles. Love their fried rice, more on the sticky side. Good delivery times. Great customer service. Had an issue once which they made up for and followed up with.

Tried again after long hiatus but was disappointed. Thai spring rolls were mostly doughy inside; very little vegetable content. We used to get their green curry, which was good when it was good, but the seasoning was inconsistent. Might try that again sometime, but if that fails to impress, I doubt we'll ever go again.

BUFFET IS CLOSED ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This review has been a long time coming, as I thought I had done a review when I posted my pics, seems as though I was mistaken 🤷🏼‍♀️ I use to eat at Main Moon on a regular basis, I then moved from the area so I couldn't go as often as I once did. Through that time they had done a remodel of their restaurant (many years ago now). I love the way they have their buffet arranged now, much more presentable. (Mind you, I'm comparing it to how it was many years ago). When I find myself visiting Ilion I take advantage of making a visit for their amazing buffet! The staff are wonderful, the food is amazing, and the establishment is very clean and taken care of. The prices are very reasonable for a buffet, for the quality, taste, and freshens of their large selection of food. The buffet is always full, even if you think that something is running low, they are quick to top it off with a fresh batch. I really can't say enough good about Main Moon! I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed. As I have but been there in quit sometime, I see they are not allowing dine -in at this time. That is very disappointing.
