O Mandarin

As a Chinese American I try to be fair in rating a Chinese restaurant that has non Chinese servers. I rate the food here as authentic. I had the Tea smoked duck and of course it was salty, duck dishes usually are, but the tea flavor was very well infused through the meat. We also had the soup dumplings which were good, I’d give 4/5 for that. They’re not a soup dumpling place so if that’s what you’re really going for I’d find a place that specializes in it. The Mandarin Riblet noodle soup was good too but again 4/5, it was bland for my taste. Would be a great soup if you’re sick and want a clear broth. As others have said it is on the pricier side, saw many guests celebrating birthdays so we be a good place to meet friends for a celebration. Plenty of seating.

One of our favorite restaurants around Scarsdale area. Gets pretty busy so reservations are recommended over weekends. Weekdays are pretty busy too but the service is quick and they turn tables efficiently. Food and service are both great. We like food on the spicy side and there is an excellent choice.

Fantasy Cuisine

There’s absolutely no way any of the positive reviews of this place on here are genuine. There is nothing special about this place. It is the most generic American Chinese food place, but at low quality. The food was flavorless and greasy. Half of the food was thrown out due to the quality. There are much better options in this area. Do not go here if you are under the impression this is any type of authentic or fancy cuisine, as the reviews suggest. Side note, I have no idea what anyone is talking about when it comes to their soup dumplings. The ones at Trader Joe’s are 10x the quality compared to this.

This is as authentic as we getting in Westchester it has all the XLB and scallion pancake dishes plus the more traditional spicy dishes expected in Taiwanese cooking, this is our go to when at home. Great place for friends and family to eat and meet.

Hunan Village II

I am from Taiwan for a business trip and my friend invites me to have a Chinese food. Be honest, surprised me that I can have such a great Chinese food in US/NewYork area. For sure, you will enjoy the food here with your family or friends~

I don’t know if this was some kind of mistake, but I like the soup here and tried to order a small soup online to pick up, after a couple of years of not going there. The menu price is $4 (totally fair). Once all the fees and tips (!!) were included, it came to over $11. This is without delivery. HAHAHAHAHA. HAHAHAHAHA. Hahaha. *NO*
