Hunan Village II Intro

Hunan Village II is a Chinese restaurant located at 222 E Hartsdale Ave, Hartsdale, NY 10530, USA. They offer meal delivery and takeout services and can be contacted at (914) 472-3838 or their mobile number +1 914-472-3838. As a Chinese restaurant, Hunan Village II provides a variety of Chinese cuisine to the local area.

Customer reviews present contrasting experiences. One reviewer from Taiwan, on a business trip, was surprisingly impressed by the quality of the Chinese food, stating it was great and recommending it for family or friends. This suggests that Hunan Village II is capable of providing enjoyable and authentic Chinese dishes.

However, another customer had a significantly negative experience with online ordering for pickup. They noted that a small soup priced at $4 on the menu ended up costing over $11 after fees and a tip were added, despite it being a pickup order. This extreme markup led to strong dissatisfaction and a clear indication that they would not proceed with the order.

Based on these reviews, Hunan Village II appears to offer good quality Chinese food that can be enjoyed. However, potential customers, especially those considering online ordering for pickup, should be cautious about additional fees that may significantly increase the total cost. It might be advisable to clarify the final price before placing an online order for pickup to avoid unexpected charges.

I am from Taiwan for a business trip and my friend invites me to have a Chinese food. Be honest, surprised me that I can have such a great Chinese food in US/NewYork area. For sure, you will enjoy the food here with your family or friends~

I don’t know if this was some kind of mistake, but I like the soup here and tried to order a small soup online to pick up, after a couple of years of not going there. The menu price is $4 (totally fair). Once all the fees and tips (!!) were included, it came to over $11. This is without delivery. HAHAHAHAHA. HAHAHAHAHA. Hahaha. *NO*

My colleague and I had lunch at this restaurant. To start, the tea was not complementary; charged $5 (ridiculous). When I received the bill and handed the waiter my debit card, I was told that cash payment is preferred due to Gov. Hochul legislation. If the debit card is in fact used, an additional 3.5% surcharge would be added. Since I had no cash, I agreed to the 3.5% surcharge. The waiter later told me that he could not accept the debit card because the transaction was under $30. I reiterated that I had no cash. I was later informed to use the bank next door to withdraw cash. Totally unacceptable!! I reluctantly withdrew cash and was subsequently charged a convenience fee at the bank. Food was mediocre; not worth the price tag. If you do not want to get ripped off…don’t go to this restaurant.
